Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I'm gutted I didn't get to catch the new Silent Hill on Halloween last night, but when I woke up this morning I thought I was IN Silent Hill. I was up until 1am last night as I went out for Halloween (which I don't normally go out on a week night) and when I got up at 7am (just 6 hours later) this morning the fog had descended. I could only see as far as the end of the street...good thing my radio didn't static or I'd have pooped myself!
Good news I lost 3 pounds this week! Its been SO hard not to eat any Halloween sweets!
Also, love the Goggles Saber Knight!

Hi! Nice costume, Saber!
I know how you feel, Silver. I was the type that always attended class if it was at all possible, regardless of whether or not there was any real point in listening to the professor. But I took my attendence record seriously. For voting though, that's one of the reasons I always get absentee ballots. Voting is a whole lot more convenient if you don't actually have to go to the polls.

Hey.
But, yeah, I always make an effort to get to class. Except for today where my TA emailed us being all "I won't be at discussion today, so you should go to another section." Yeah.... so that would have taken too much effort. Plus, I really needed that extra hour of sleep, what with my prelim tonight. Speaking of my prelim, I'm gonna get back to studying. Just thought I'd pop in.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
I finally have full power now! I don't need to have a candle next to my desk and fear setting the house on fire anymore! Woo!
So, yeah...I'm a bit late with my post-hurricane update. In short, half of my house lost power. I think it was either a brown-out or maybe a random short in the house, somewhere. There were a few sockets that still worked around the house, so the important things like the fridge, microwave, coffee machine, my computer and, most important of all, the wireless router were spared. All of the overhead lights were out, though, so many bruises were gained by bumping into various objects late at night...
In other news, Tuesday was my Great Grandmother's 105th birthday. Not the best day to have it, having a hurricane pass by the day before and all, but we did go to a really fancy (and expensive) restaurant that was open. I felt kind of awkward, being the only one there who wasn't dressed up all fancy-like and also the only teenager there...still had a good time though. I talked a bit about various things like cooking, travel, and how I still can't stand alcohol...yeah.
And, one other nice thing that happened recently. I found my old Bop It Extreme 2! This is what kept me occupied when the the power went off, for the most part. I got the highest high score you can get, 250. I feel very accomplished.
In fact, I think I'll go and play with it for a while longer. Stay radical people! Peace off!

Hello!
I'm going to Farmaggedon tommorw http://www.farmaggedon.co.uk/farm_wp/ It's meant to be a really good, but scary experience. I'm really looking forward to it as I've heard a lot about it but never been. If it is as scary as I heard I will be having a "brown-out" of a different sort LOL
Sorry for the toilet humor there, I'm low on witty puns today!
Have the house to myself this weekend, which is rare enough in itself! Looking forward to just having some time alone. I'm not anti social, but I'm happy in my own company every now and again!

Hi! Wreck It Ralph opens today, though I'll probably wait until Sunday to go see it. Got some things I need to get done right now. Other than that, it's probably going to be a pretty ordinary weekend. Working on a variety of things, running errands, synagogue, some gaming, etc.
Japanese language tables yesterday was rather fun though. There were only three of us at first (lots of people either had tests to study for or were still recoving from Halloween), but then a couple of Japanese people (one guy and one girl, who came to take some classes at UF) randomly showed up, so we got to meet them and get some good practice in. Though it reminded me just how quietly a lot of Japanese girls talk. Even Kristian, who was sitting directly across from the girl, couldn't make out everything she was saying. On the flip side, I've heard that girls from the Osaka area tend to be really loud, though I haven't had a chance to confirm that for myself.

Hey.
So I went on a date with my drum major today. We went out to dinner and then to a jazz piano concert and I got to ride on her motorcycle because she has one.
And it was awesome.

Farmaggedon was awesome! I want to go again next year! It was brilliant! The weather even cleared up so we didn't get soaked!
Also, finally beat Iris on my Black 2. I stopped playing serious a week ago so thats why its taken a while. Beat her with just three pokemon! My Lucario was awesome! It leveled up mid battle and learned a dragon type move which helped it whip the floor with the rest of her team!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I want to see it! But I have to wait until Colly's birthday... less than two weeks away, but it feels like a really long time when I'm selling tickets to let hundreds of people see it all day.
In other news, registration for classes next semester was today and my schedules SUCKS and I hate it. Now, it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm taking Milton, Shakespeare, Twain, and a Senior Seminar in Medieval Literature. I commute to school, see? It's about 30 miles from my house. So gas is cheaper than room and board, but still expensive. I've been trying to get all my classes on two or three days a week so I don't have to use up too much gas. But this semester, it didn't work out so well... The two classes I absolutely needed were Twain and Shakespeare. Twain is Tuesday and Thursday. Shakespeare is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So I get to... not have money at all for three months. Which is great. On the bright side, one of my friends has a pretty similar schedule so we can carpool at least.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Really? I would have thought it'd launch in the UK about the same time as here, since it'd still be in English and all...
It's election day...though I already voted, so now it's just waiting to hear the results. Though I probably won't hear them until tomorrow unless I want to stay up really late, which I don't. And then I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's one or more recounts since it's probably going to be close and, at very least, I can't imagine the Democrats accepting defeat without a recount (unsure about the Republicans). But at least it's the last day of political ads.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
So I got invited to an election party tonight. So I wasn't planning on going, but then it gives me an opportunity to talk to my drum major and she was all you should go... sigh, I have no willpower. Better finish up all my work now. What is this social life I don't even
No real updates, other than my life is really complicated. Whee.
Seriously, a social life? Did not see that coming. And I really wanna see Wreck-it Ralph! Also, my morning commute to classes is nearly 30 mins... however, that's all walking for me. Whee! My course registration went exceedingly poorly with me only getting 2 of the 5 classes I wanted. Yay life.

You'd think right? But Wreck-it Ralph is only due out here in February....I don't see why, the film needs NO changes AT ALL.
Anyway, the news has been saying Obama won the election, but only just.
Now I hope it won't be on the UK news any more!
