Re: Mafia
Sorry, Josiah. But I was the spy and all... Can't let you go around killing your forumites whether you stick up for me or not
And I'm still in of course. Shouldn't need to tell you that anymore though.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Yep, I'm still in this. It might take a bit for me to post though, between Reddit and school now.

Re: Mafia
Welcome. You have all gathered here in my mansion to play a game. A game called Mafia, to be exact. The rules are simple; the rewards are great. One among you is a mass murderer whose only limitation is that they can only kill one victim per day. The rest of you must find and kill this murderer--the Mafia--before they kill the rest of you. However, you all may only kill one suspect per day, so choose wisely. While there are still some of you alive, you may use this mansion however you wish. The game ends only when the Mafia is killed or only the Mafia is left. After the game ends, there is a sum of $3,000,000 to be divided evenly among the winner(s). As of now, you cannot withdraw from the game; the penalty for any attempt to escape is certain death. The game starts now. May the odds be ever in your favor.
As soon as the announcement ended, a deafening cacophony of screeching reverberated throughout the mansion as every conceivable exit from the building was barred shut with platinum doors.
After hearing the shocking announcement (not to mention blatant Hunger Games reference), the gathered players eyed each other warily but otherwise went about their business, whether it was exploring the mansion, enjoying its luxuries, or trying to gather more information about the others. Dinnertime came and went without a hitch, and most were able to sleep that night, if restlessly.
The next morning, many were beginning to relax as nothing serious had happened yet. Then a high-pitched scream pierced through the calm, and dread filled the players' hearts as they rushed over to the source of the scream. Some spilled their oatmeal breakfast, some abandoned their massage treatment, but all quickly forgot about such trivial things as they witnessed the blackened body lying on the floor with an arm outstretched toward one of the blocked exits. Though the body appeared to be attempting an escape, everyone knew that it was, in fact, the work of the Mafia. Those who were able to tear their gaze away from the horrific image scanned the faces of the others and determined the body to be that of Poison. Who of the remaining players--Josiah, Silver, Key2dawn, and Faustgy--was the killer?

Re: Mafia
I might as well post while I still have Internet access.
First off, there's Josiah. Maybe he has something against Poison. Or rather, her omniscient randomizer from last time. This could be his revenge. Maybe.
Silver... uh... Actually, I don't really know what Silver's motive would be. It seems like Poison was killed randomly, to be honest.
Speaking of random, I know someone who tends to base his decisions on chance. And the promise of such a large sum of prize money worries me, particularly because said someone would probably kill to have all that money.
You know I'm talking about you, Yuki. I vote for Yuki.

Re: Mafia
;;; Thank you, Faus, for pointing out just how greedy I can be. xD But that is a lot of money... -w- -coughs- All right, assumption time.
I say it's either Faus, or it's Silver. Faus, because I didn't get a chance to vote for him before (plus he's voting for me, so I say it's war), and Silver because... well, I flipped a coin. I know! I know. I said I'd take guessing more seriously, but this is as serious as I get. 8D So I'll just flip another coin, see what happens, and vote for...
Faus. That's what happens when you accurately guess the coin flip to be tails. /o/

Re: Mafia
I find Faustgy's logic to be quite convincing, especially since key2dawn confirmed his love of money. And, as we all know, the love of money is the root of all evil. So, since the mafia is evil, it falls to reason that the mafia loves money. Which means that key has to be the mafia! I vote for him.

Re: Mafia
You guys are really forcing my hand here. I'm convinced it's Faustgy, because anyone with logic that good has to be an EVIL GENIUS! And thus the mafia! But... that would make it a tie... so I'll vote for myself instead!

Re: Mafia
Faustgy, who possesses\d an eye for details that allowed him to form rather accurate conclusions about others, had observed the characters and behaviors of the other players the previous day and noted that only one person expressed an obvious greed for the reward: Key2dawn.
Josiah, who observed the same about Key2dawn, agreed with Faustgy that Key2dawn was the most likely culprit.
Key2dawn attempted to laugh off their accusations, but when his attempt failed to sway their decisions, he retaliated against his first accuser by voting for him.
Silver, who was still traumatized by Poison's death, could only feel fear, bewilderment, and confusion in their current situation. Though he suspected the murderer may be Faustgy, he trusted his friend Josiah's judgment. In the end, he was driven mad with the strain of deciding who to condemn and voted for himself.
The other players ignored Silver and focused their attention on Key2dawn. Realizing that nothing he could say would save him now, he dashed away from the scene, with Josiah chasing after him in hot pursuit. Before long, Josiah cornered Key2dawn at a blocked exit. Refusing to die by another's hand, Key2dawn threw himself against the metal door only to be electrocuted in a similar manner as Poison. As his body sizzled at the base of the door, the mysterious voice from before resounded throughout the mansion.
Congratulations, remaining players. You have successfully identified and killed the Mafia, Key2dawn. As promised, the prize of $3,000,000 will be divided evenly between the three of you: Josiah, Silver, and Faustgy. This amount is hidden somewhere within the mansion; I wish you the best of luck finding it as skillfully as you have found the Mafia. Oh, and did I mention that you must find the mechanism to open the blocked exits yourselves before the mansion self-destructs in 24 hours?
((Thus ends this round of Mafia. I swear the first draft was a lot more well-written before I had timed out and lost the entire draft
Good job nailing the Mafia in one shot again.
))

Re: Mafia
I was the spy, and I knew it wasn't Silver, so that left me with only two choices. While the current run of good guesses is impressive, we could use some more players to make things a bit more difficult...
Anyway, who wants to narrate the next round?

Guess I'll narrate, haven't done it in a while. I'll assume everyone from the last round will join in again? I'll give a few days of course and hope a few more people show up.
