Mafia
Re: Mafia
...Yuki seems really desperate here, being so defensive. That, and he makes a valid point: familiarity makes it tempting to vote for the other party. It goes both ways, man.
And Isis? Why so serious? You know, maybe it's because it's her first time playing Mafia, and I don't think she has gotten the feel of the game just yet, but she's making me think that she's the spy. Either that, or she's very good at faking her cluelessness and is trying to trick the rest of us into voting for Poison.
Poison? Hm. She has the most experience of playing this game out of all of us, and I feel that she makes very good arguments. Too good. Something I would expect from a clever Mafia.
So I'm going to go ahead and vote for myself- I mean... be on Isis' side this time and vote for Poison. Sorry, but someone has to break the tie.

Re: Mafia
So the campers debated and argued and all pointed fingers at each other without coming to any real conclusion. Finally, Faustgy decided he wanted to hurry up and kill someone already. And, since the boys no longer outnumbered the girls thanks to Silver's death, it seemed like a good time to remedy that. So the campers grabbed Poison, covered her in honey, and tied her to a tree for the bears. Later that day, as they were looting, er, investigating, her belongings they found a mafia membership card. Surprised and pleased to have picked the right person, they went on to enjoy the rest of their camping trip.
Congrats! You got the mafia!

Re: Mafia
That really was a short game... Oh well, at least it didn't get drawn out like the last round.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Mafia
Okay, so...
1) I don't even like honey...so good job there...
2) Looting? Seriously? You think I would carry anything important on my person on a camping trip? The most I would bring (other then the essential camping items) would probably be a deck of cards, a few snacks, and my lucky chess piece.
3) My clever arguments, experience, and calm nature got me dead'd. Man, am I unlucky, or what?
Anyway, good game. Good game.

Re: Mafia
Actually, Poison, I don't think you gave yourself away. As I said, I felt that Isis was making it obvious that she was the spy, and I got the feeling she wasn't faking it, which is why I decided to vote for you instead.
Eheheh... Last round... My apologies? I know there was a case where I sent the PM to Saber, but the PM was probably lost in cyberspace, and I had no idea that Saber was waiting for me, so it took me a while before I decided to resend my PM. I know that delayed the round.

Re: Mafia
Haha, yeah, I was the spy.
I found out it was Poison on my first try, so I mean what was I supposed to do, say it was someone else when I knew Poison was the Mafia? By the way Poison, apparently you have a Mafia tattoo on your back
And I wasn't sure how to convince you guys other than to blatantly vote for her like that, so yeah, no hard feelings Poison!

Re: Mafia
So, who is in the next game and who wants to narrate?
Re: Mafia
Even though I'm not very confident in my narration skills, I'll give it a shot if no one else wants to.
I do have a couple of questions though. Using the last game as an example, let's suppose that someone other than Poison had been voted off. That would leave two players and Poison left. At the beginning of the next round, Poison would have a chance of killing another player. Assuming that the doctor was already dead or failed to save the new victim, does that mean that Poison would have automatically won?
Also, a question about the spy. If the spy happens to spy on the doctor, would the narrator inform the spy that the doctor is... well, the doctor, or just answer with "not the Mafia"?

Re: Mafia
I'm in! I think I'll participate in a few rounds before I try to narrate.
Faustgy has a point--maybe it was a good thing the round ended when it did. If there are more people participating in the next round, though, I'll try not to end it so soon!
Since the spy is a spy, I would think they would find out the person is a doctor, right?

Re: Mafia
To answer your questions...
1. If the game ever reaches a point where only two people are left, the mafia automatically wins since voting would always just end in a tie. The last game could have ended that way but since Silver wasn't the doctor, if you didn't vote the doctor out and if he managed to prevent the mafia's next murder, the game could have continued.
2. You do tell the spy the identity of the doctor if he/she spies on the right person.

I shall also be in the next round.
No hard feelings Isis. A Mafia tattoo on my back?...When did that happen?

Re: Mafia
Thanks, Josiah!
So I'll give everyone until... either Sunday night or Monday morning to join, depending on when I access the forum.
So far, the participants are:
Josiah
Silver
Poison
Isis
I hope I'm not missing anyone. I'll need to ask Yuki if he wants to join again.

Re: Mafia
I like how I'm still trying to find a "quick reply" box, and then getting lost when trying to find the "new reply" button. <_<' Anyway, I totally want to play again. o:

Back at Pebble Version. It's a lovely place, I must say, even though I haven't done much. But this community feels so peaceful, I don't have the heart to leave it for good. Although I suppose I shouldn't really call Pebble Version "peaceful", considering how... well...
Yuki's dead. End of story.
...Well, maybe I should actually write down how he died, in case his spirit comes back to haunt me for not acknowledging his death properly.
Yuki was discovered in the middle of the city, with shoe prints and bruises covering his entire body, suggesting that he had been trampled to death. A look at the nearby security cameras revealed that he had found himself caught in the middle of the large crowd that killed him. More specifically, it was a very large crowd of rabid fan girls.
I really don't envy him.
In any case, investigators believe that such an... unusual death could only be the art- err... work of the Mafia.
I think it's time for me to lurk among the citizens as they once more try to figure out who the killer was. Surely their baseless accusations would entertain me for the time being.
