Xenoblade looks fun, but I might skip playing it for a while. right now I'm trying to collect all 600-something Pokemon. *Looks at DS* 78 more to go!

So I... uh... somehow Rick Roll'd myself in my dreams last night. Not sure what I should think of that.

'Ello.
Pretty much the only thing I like about the Pokemon anime were the battle scenes, except when Satoshi/Ash is pulling moves like Thunder as Armor out of nowhere. But I personally only like the original series, although I think Best Wishes is a pretty nice change. Then again, I shouldn't be saying anything, considering how I haven't been actively watching any anime.

I hope I can start posting again...

Moi,

Oh my crackers do I need a nice long nap...I have had quite the stressful week so far.

Let me see...first, was the fact that I kind of forgot that I had two tests today. One in science, the other in German. It almost felt like one of those dreams where you're in school or an old school and you 'forgot' about a huge project that was due or an important test that was scheduled...

Anyway, the other thing that had been stressing me out for days was an English assignment that was finally wrapped up today. You had to research a controversial topic, write up an outline, and then present it all in a speech. A speech. I, for one, do not like public speaking at all, even if it's just in front of a small group of people such as my class. When the time came for me to speak, I just kind of got into this...what I can only describe as a zen-like mode. I just gave my speech like I would if I was speaking to one of my friends (which, now that I think about it, probably made my speech sound quite a bit more laid back then what I was going for). After I finished my speech, I sat back down in my seat and I felt like both fainting and shouting "finally!" at the same time. I guess they kind of cancelled each other out so I just sat down, quietly said to myself "yes!", and pretty much zoned out for the rest of class (not that it was going to be all that interesting. The rest of class pretty much consisted of the remaining people giving their speeches, so I probably didn't miss much).

So...what began as one very stressful day ended on what I can presume to be a high-note.

I've discovered that there are two extremely wonderful and perfect types of fruit in the world that no one else seems to appreciate. These are coconuts and tomatoes. The superiority of these two over all other fruits is so glaringly obvious, so why does not one else agree?

I discovered that coconut was largely hated in an eight grade cooking class. The recipe that the teacher had originally planned was for a coconut candy - but when she said so, all but two people declared their hatred for coconut and said that they wanted to use peanut butter instead. Ugh. There's certainly nothing wrong with peanut butter, but to use it instead of coconut? Blasphemy. I have oft found myself offering to share an Almond Joy, only to be told, "I don't like coconut." But why? What's wrong with you people? I just don't understand.

As for tomatoes, I recall an incident when I was out at some Hibachi-styled restaurant with all of my siblings and all of Stevenson's. They serve you some little salad thing, and it had these two, big, beautiful tomato slices. Knowing that my siblings wouldn't eat them, I asked all the tomato-haters to kindly pass their fruit to me. I was shocked to find that not only did my siblings do so, but Stevenson's did as well... as did Stevenson himself. Et tu, Stevenson? I just couldn't believe it. Why doesn't anyone like Tomatoes? They like Ketchup and pasta sauce just fine. So why all the hate for the genuine article? It's mind-boggling.

I simply can't believe how many people deny these wonderful things. I seem to recall making a comment at some point after being asked why I wanted to always stay single that I could never date someone that didn't like tomatoes and coconut... the joke being that no one like that exists (coincidentally, Colly is quite the picky eater, and while not a tomato fan, she at least likes coconuts).

So, Pebble Version, I ask you: what are your thoughts on the matter? If I offered you an Almond Joy, would you eat it? And am I the only one who can eat a tomato like you eat an apple? Though, they're quite a lot juicier than that... more like a peach, maybe?

Hi!

On the Pokémon anime itself... I enjoyed it for a while but it did start to get kind of old eventually (most episodes are very repetitious) and tended to ignore type weaknesses and resistences whenever it was convenient. I still wish they'd make an anime version of Pokémon Adventures, which is easily the best Pokémon story around in all respects, but at least they're actually releasing the rest of the manga now.

On coconuts and tomatos... I like coconut, as do a lot of people I know, even if they are a bit of a pain to crack open. That said, I probably wouldn't eat an almost joy. Not because of the coconut, and not even because I'm not especially fond of almonds, but because I tend to avoid candy in general (something drilled into me by my very health conscious parents). As for tomatos, I like them and I will (and have) eaten them plain. Though usually cherry tomatos since they're less likely to squirt juice all over the place. I find that fact that so many of your relatives dislike tomatos a bit odd, as I've met very few people who dislike them. However, I suppose I may as well note that solanine (a naturally occuring substance in nightshade plants such as tomatos) can cause minor to serious health problems in some people (a fact that the medical community at large hasn't widely picked up on yet), and I do know a number of people who avoide tomatos and other nightshades for that reason. Fortunately, I don't have a problem with a solanine so I'll eat all the tomatos I want.

Moi,

On the topic of coconuts and tomatoes, I rather enjoy coconut, and I don't quite get people who dislike it. Almond Joys are one of my favorite types of candy, but they are right below Mound bars on my scale (Mound bars are much like Almond Joys, but they lack the almond part and are covered in dark chocolate rather then milk chocolate). I also like coconut frosting on cakes and such. It's positively delicious~

As for tomatoes, that's a bit of a different matter. I like ketchup and pizza/pasta sauce, but I actually haven’t eaten a plain tomato yet, though I do plan to. As I get older, I am making it a mission of mine to try new foods that, when I was younger, I probably wouldn't have tried. It has resulted in me discovering several new vegetables and fruits that I enjoy (e.g.: broccoli, asparagus, and freshly picked green beans and peas.), as well as some that I will probably not try again for a while (e.g.: most types of peppers).

Huh, all this talk of food is making me a bit hungry...and I haven't had lunch today...mainly because I was sleeping since I got Good Friday off, as well as the rest of next week due to spring break!

Stay radical people! Peace off!

Happy Easter, guys. I hope you get to... um... eat eggs and stuff.

And, to those of you who don't do the Easter thing, Happy Passover! ...It's one of the happy holidays, right? I mean, otherwise have an enjoyably solemn Passover, but... I'm pretty sure this one of the fun ones, um... hm... To Wikipedia!

Hi! Passover is fun holiday, at least so long as you don't mind giving up foods with yeast for a week. It's Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur that are the solemn ones. I had a Passover seder (service and meal) with some friends Friday night. Most of them had never celebrated Passover before and we were switching between Japanese and English a lot, so it was a bit unusual but fun.

Greetings all!

Kaida have a week off. Yay! But wait. She has an assingment that needs to be done. And studying for Japanese to do. Uh so really its a week where she doesn't have to go into Uni. but still has workies to do.

Also Kaida got a new matress. Yay, We though she needed one because bed was making lots of noise, and we tohught it was the matress. . . but its not the matress, well the matress was the cause of some of the noise, the beframe is the main offender though. She's going to try putting a bit of oil at the joints and see if that stops the noise. In the meantime she needs to get money for a new bedframe. . .

Hi! Going without a bedframe is a perfectly viable option as well. And, as a bonus, is doesn't leave any space under your bed for monsters to hide in. :-P

Having lived near an IKEA when in Arizona, I can say that it's nice for some things. Shelves, TV stands, lamps, and assorted kitchen items, for example. Not too fond of their chairs and couches though.

Hi.

Or in my case for bedding, I have no bed. Been sleeping on a couch for nearly 3 years now . That may change when I move and my dad has said my couch is not moving with me :bye:

In other news...I have like 12 school projects due by end of the semester, 10 of them by the end of April...O I will have no life the next few weeks.

Let's see... I have three small-ish papers due next week and one really huge one due the week after. I say one, even though it's technically two... I have a 6-10 page research paper for one class and a 10-15 minute presentation for another that just happen to be on the same topic. So even though it's two, I only have to do one! ...Doesn't mean it's going to be any more fun to actually do it...

Moi,

*Sees that some people are rather busy with school projects and such*

...I'm on spring break this week!

Although, however much I enjoy it, something out there is out to ruin my relaxation. Mainly pollen. It got so warm so quickly this year that the trees have been pretty much trolling everyone with allergies these past couple of months. So, in order to not die of sneezing, congestion, or some other lovely thing, I have been placed under house arrest...by nature. Gosh darn it.

Well, in other news, I got a cool new hat!...Well, not that it's really new. I found it over at my Grandparents house yesterday (over for Easter dinner) and they said I could have it! I'm almost certain it's a Stetson, so...*puts hat on* I wear a Stetson now. Stetsons are cool.
