Yes, Emily Rodda's a well know Aussie Author. She's got so many awesome series, I really should get back onto gollecting them. The Tomorrow series is good as well as the Rangers Apprentice series.

Making me thing of all the books/games/movies/series I want makes me feel so poor. v.v But thats why I'm going to Uni. To get a better/paid job. So I can buys all these awesome things.

The Deltora quest books seem to be fairly popular in the US. At least, I always see then whenever I look in the kids section in any major book store. I read the first one a while back and while I thought the basic story had promise, it felt like it was written for little kids (short, simple writing, very little descriptive text, etc.) which was a bit of a turn off.

Well Emily Rodda is her pen name for her childrens serices, she also goes by Mary-Anne Dickinson aparently although I'm not sure how true that is since.
If you're interested in taking a look at her adult series their published under her real name: Jennifer June Rowe (June might be left out though).

I read her bookes in my early teens which would be why I got into them so much, I still however love them and reread them occasionally.

Apparently it was at least semi-famous, because it spawned an anime series.
