Silver wrote:Finished my huge massive research project thing and the silly little paper about semicolons! Now just one more paper to go about the pipe organ (which should be a cakewalk, simply because this one isn't for a Lit class and the professor's expectations aren't very high) and I can finally get to Spring Break-ing. After that seven hour shift on Saturday, anyway...
Those two sentences contain the weirdest subjects for a paper I have ever seen, and this is from someone who wrote a paper comparing The Cask of Amontillado to Trolling... twice. As both an essay and a research paper, in the same semester.
This is my RP Forum, Tales of Symphonia Adventures, or ToSA for short. Please take a look?

Eh? Why's it so weird to write about a semicolon or a pipe organ? The paper on the semicolon is for a class about the use of punctuation, and I just picked the semicolon because it's such an under-appreciated little thing. And the pipe organ paper was specifically about the world's largest pipe organ (kinda), which I recently went to visit as part of a class.

The research project was by far the weirdest assignment of the three - I had to write a research paper... about doing research. Prior to that, I had to find the answers to ten randomly assigned and completely trivial questions, like "Where on the East Coast of the United States is a good collection of Edith Wharton first editions and manuscripts?" and "Discuss the number of actors usually employed by Drury Lane, Covent Garden & the New Haymarket theatres roughly between the years of 1729 and 1747." Weird project was weird.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! GDC is over but since I try to avoid traveling on shabbat, I won't be heading back to Florida until Sunday. Not quite sure what I'm going to do tomorrow other than go to services. Walk around the city I suppose.

Hey.

So I lied. I'm posting again today to notify you that I am even more definitely not really KotFing ths year because not only will I be busy all day next Saturday with DI Regionals, but I will be busy all of the following weekend because WE WON OUR COMPETITION AND WE'RE GOING TO DRAMA FEST STATE FINALS!

Oh. My. God. Semi-finals was INSANE. There were SO many good shows. One show was written by the cast, and I was in absolute shock because it is one of the greatest productions I have ever seen in my entire life. Luckily, they were non-competitive (we think because they've won so many times in the past, and they've just kind of decided to enjoy it more instead of worrying about competion, 'cos they're always fantastic). And, OF COURSE, out of two shows going on, we were the second one announced... The one announced first was one of two shows I thought was definitely not going (I mean, it looked well executed, but I was exceedingly tired by that point and it was a very, very boring show so I spaced out a bunch) so then we figured we were done because there was one other fantastic show that day (SO GOOD) that everyone was certain had the other spot.

So we all sat back down (after giving a standing ovation) and we didn't even go back to the traditional everyone-holding-hands-and-sitting-there-muttering-prayers-under-their-breath-thing because we SO figured we were done AND THEN THEY SAID MY TOWN'S NAME AND WE WENT INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE! So much screaming and crying and hugging 'cos we haven't been to States in 6 years and ahhh it was so fantastic to be a part of the whole thing :)

Oh, and I got into RPI. Y'know, that too :P

GOOD DAY FOR SABER KNIGHT

Hi! Congrats, Saber!

I had fun walking around San Francisco today. Expect photos, a write-up, and all that on Monday or Wednesday. Probably Wednesday since I'll be getting back to Florida kind of late tomorrow.

I'm on Spring Break now, but I'm still having a hard time sitting in front of my computer and posting... because the weather's so nice! And it's so early in the season that there aren't any mosquitoes around yet! I thought March was supposed to come in like a lion, but man, we've been having the nicest, springiest weather since like mid February... and now I can finally go out and enjoy it, seeing as I'm not stuck in school/my car driving to school/work all day every day...

Hi! Unfortunately, my spring break isn't until the beginning of April. But anyway, I got back with no problems so now it's just a matter of catching up on work. Like grading papers and advertising the new 360 version of Car Washer.

Moi,

Darn it, social studies, what did I ever do to you? I am currently trying to think of a random story to write for social studies. It has to include a few vocab terms from our current unit...Don't get me wrong, I love writing random stories as much as the next dude, but when I am assigned to do such work...my mind goes blank. Out the window. My mind jumped out the window and it just so happened to land in a puddle of mud. Face first. Now it's clothes are all filty and it will have to explain itself to it's mind-mother.

Anyway...a few minutes ago, I was arguing with the smoke alarm (I mean, literally talking back to it. I was literally talking back to the beeping of the smoke alarm). Apperently, the oven needs to be cleaned out a bit...and I need to remember to take things out of the oven after I put them in there...

So...I guess I should work on this social studies story...heh, "Social studies story"...try saying that ten times, fast.

Anyways, stay radical people!

Hellos. So, in recent news, I have started track this year and it hurts after not running seriously for a month. Also, some good news. My friend who I referred to a few weeks ago told her parents she was bi- yadayada, they were fine with it. I'm glad it all worked out okay in the end for her. After she told me this, she told me to "come out the closet bro" (Her words not mine.) Not gonna happen anytime soon. Also, the saddest thing in the last few months out of everything that has occurred has stricken me. My pokemon silver is unable to hold saves. I know its simply just the saves and nothing else, so I am going to see if I can try and replace the internal battery. Well, astaluego.

Darn it, Tales of Graces, why you come out during Spring Break? ...Well, no, that's actually a great thing for me, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to play it at all... So I guess, Darn it Spring Break, why you have to have nice weather? No, but that's also a good thing... Darn it, time... why you have to... pass by quickly...

Hi! I agree with you, Silver. Not about Tales of Graces (I don't have it yet) or spring break (mine isn't for a while yet), but about time passing quickly. Seems there's never enough time to do everything I want and trying to balance work, my own projects, exercise, errands, and all the other things I need to do with time for fun things can be annoying. I keep thinking back to the time management in Persona 3... Though that guy had to work in dungeon exploration and monster fighting as well, which would be pretty cool..

But anyway, I did take a couple hours last night to play through Journey. I wish it was a bit longer, but it's a cool game and I'm looking forward to playing through again and finding the hidden things that I missed.
