Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Woah! Guys, be careful! I've seen a Baboon running loose on the forum today! I've heard they're pretty dangerous and make weird paintings of lions with melon juice, so stay safe!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Classes start today. But, since it's the first day and a weird first day at that since half the classes don't start until Monday (since there are hardly any Friday classes at this college), I'm just gonna do a quick syllabus review and let everyone go home early. Well, all the students anyway. I don't get to leave early.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
To all the Legend of Zelda lovers out there, I have an important matter to discuss... So I'm going to buy myself a necklace that has one of the Spiritual Stones as the pendant. But I can't decide which one. The Kokri Emerald has my favourite design and it's special 'cos it's the first one you get and kokris are cool, the Goron Ruby is my favourite colour and the Fire Temple has a pretty awesome boss, and yet the Zora Sapphire corresponds to the Triforce of Wisdom, which has always been my thing (me and my friends would draw Triforces on our hands... miraculously enough, we never fought over pieces, we all liked the three different ones) and Zoras are pretty awesome, too. I'm mainly leaning between the Emerald and the Sapphire, but IT'S A HARD CHOICEEEE!
In other news... college applications being over just means I now need to work on getting myself some scholarships... yay -_-

Hi!
Personally, Saber, my favorite is the Zora Sapphire. But I may sound a bit biased because my favorite color is blue. I like the Emerald, too, but only because I liked the Great Deku Tree dungeon a lot. :P I'm leaning towards the same two you are, but I'd go with the Zora Sapphire.
Derp, watched the Sugar Bowl two nights ago. A lot of friends of mine have been complaining about some bad calls by the ref in Michigan's favor. Well, I can't complain much since I've seen pictures of what happened, and it didn't look very nice but they were real alright.
Peace out!

'Ello!
Winter break is almost over for me. I'm going to miss it.
Nothing much happened on my end. I finally got around to finishing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the first time, dealt with some life stuff, and then...um...
Yeah, I don't think I did much this break.

Hi! Took my car in for an oil change and ended up having to do a whole big check up which took most of the day.
Looks like I'll have to spend a lot of Sunday working to make up for it. I saw Tin Tin while waiting for the car though, and it was pretty good.
As for the pendants, I like the Kokri Emerald the best. The other designs are just too plain.

Hey Guys, I'm Back!
............Anybody?..........
Oh well, I'm Back, SorrI was away, I was on an amazing cruise! It went around the Carribean, From St.Maarten to Nassau, Bahamas. It was amazing, only thing was that Internet was incredibly expensive, so that's why I have not been here for a while, but it was a an amazing cruise, none the less. So, anyways, I need to go get caught up with other forum topics, so see you guys later!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I do think that the Emerald design is the coolest, but if the Sapphire is your thing, and corresponds to your favorite Spiritual Stone, then it might mean more to you. Oh man it'd be awesome if you and your friends each got one. Not only would you match, but in a time of need you could combine them to create the Triforce. :D
Well, I guess just think about which one you see yourself wearing more.
And hello again Grassaquil! Ah, I remember once a friend of mine went on a cruise, and she said the same thing about the internet. That's always how these cruises get you, with all these extra fees and such. Okay I really wouldn't know I've never been on one :P Glad to hear you had fun though.
I've been catching up on a bunch of stuff that I've wanted to read, watch, and play. Read two books so far, and the entirety of The Walking Dead Compendium One. Uh, I was expecting the violence, but I want to warn anyone interested that it gets kinda racy. When no one was home I got to use my bro's XBox to watch One Piece on the television screen, which made me happy :D. In regards to games though I have yet to get back to Portal. Guess I've got time though. College winter break is longer than I thought it would be :P.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Last semester I spent quite a while creating a list of games and hardware I wanted for the game design program at the college where I'm teaching. I was told I need to do it ASAP because there was money to spare and it was a good time with the game classes starting in the spring. Well, it's spring semester and I haven't heard a thing about the status of my pretty modest equipment list, which means I need to teach game design and history with any games or game design software.
In other news, I'm thinking of getting a new car. My current car is fine, but it's around 10 years old at this point so I know I'll need a new one sooner or later. But what really started this was, when I took it in on Friday for service, I ended up doing the 90,000 mile check up which cost over $600 and the cashier mentioned that, if I traded my car in for a new one within a month, I'd get a refund on that. Plus I was told that, after a few more oil changes, it would be time to replace some part of the oil pump which would cost around $1000. So, all in all, this sounded like it might be a good time to look at new cars. So I went back to the Honda place yesterday and checked out the new cars. I kind of liked the new Civic (though the ho-hum reviews worry me a bit) and the Fit was nice too. They even offered me a surprisingly good trade in price and really low APR. The only problem was that, even taking off the money for a trade in and various discounts, the price I was offered was above the sticker price. For some reason, they tack on an extra $5,000 or so for dealer profit and because the car is in "high demand". I didn't challenge them on it (I just wanted to get some ideas, not actually buy a car right then), but it made me want to look elsewhere. From what I've been told (this is my first time shopping for a car by myself), I should be paying sticker price or below BEFORE factoring in trade-in value, not above sticker price AFTER factoring it in. Maybe I could get all that money knocked off if I pressed, and maybe not. But that doesn't make me particularily happy with the Honda dealership in Gainesville so I may go look at the Hyundai Electra soon.

Hey.
So, I'm in my school's production of Epic Proportions. It's for Drama Festival (you compete with a 45 min play against other 45 minutes plays and attempt to do good and get judges to like you), which was a bunch of fun last year... and even more fun this year since we're doing a comedy instead of a drama.
Also, I might be getting a 3rd tutoring job... the first one is really irregular, I've only met with her once, the second one is a nice weekly income, and this third one... I'm not sure, but it'll be nice to have more money for college! With that and reffing hockey, who needs a boring waitress job?
Anywho... lots of homework to do with my schedule that has gotten back to being busy. In-class essay on Mrs. Dalloway tomorrow.
Ugh. That book.

Hi! Hope you had fun, Grassaquil!
I've been driving around here and there. Will get my license in about a month, around my birthday I assume.
Peace out!

Yeah, sometimes it gets to the point where it costs more to maintain a car than it would be to just buy another one. Ten years is a pretty long run for a car too. My family had this one car since 97, and I drove it when I first got my license. It would stall out at lights, every warning light would blink whether or not it was broken, the speedometer didn't work 1/3 of the time, and occasionally the trunk would just pop open. Also no radio or CD player. :P It was very sentimental to my dad so he paid for the repairs...but then this past summer my brother totaled it. Yeah fixing it would have cost a fortune.
We went with Honda too. We got a Pilot and it runs really well. Paying above sticker price seems pretty fishy to me. So it was good that you didn't take that deal. I don't know much about Hyundai though.
Oh god, Saber. You had to read Mrs. Dalloway? I feel your pain. My "Intro to Literature and Critical Studies" teacher had us read that this year, as freshman in college. Really not my thing. It just seemed like an older version of some Real Housewives show. I know there were deeper meanings and stuff to it, but I just couldn't get into that book.
My Crit teacher also discussed with us homosexual penguins and animals raising other species. And that book Dictee is one of the only two books I've ever read and not finished.
You're gonna be driving soon Metalheadz? You're growing up so fast. :P
Watch out though when people ask for rides long distances. If it gets too frequent you might have to start charging for gas...my sister did that.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I hate car shopping. All I want to do when I go to a dealer is look at the car (online reviews only do so much), take a quick test drive, and get a rough idea of the price. I do not want to end up in a drawn out, high pressure sales pitch. But that's always what seems to happen. And pretty much all dealers add some overpriced extra features to their cars the moment they're delivered, usually upping the MSRP by a few thousand dollars. Why can't it be like ordering a computer? I just go on Dell, chose a model, check the features I want, uncheck the ones I don't want, and that's that.
At the moment, I'm kind of burned out on the whole thing (and that's afte only two days) and caught between wanting to take a break for a few days and wanting to get the whole thing over as soon as possible.
If anyone is interested in cars, I'm currently trying to decide between the following models: Honda Civic (a straight-up upgrade of my current car, it's nice but the reviews aren't great this year, though that's mostly because of something I don't care about), Honda Fit (a bit less gas mileage than the others but very roomy, which is could if I end up moving again soon), Hyundai Elantra (highly reviewed and a little nicer than the Civic all around, but in rather short supply and to get what I want at a decent price I'd either have to scale down a limited model or upgrade a base model), Kia Forte (my least favorite of the three regular cars, though not by much, MPG is comparable to the Fit, a little cheaper than the others).
