Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Heso! Well, I'm officially on Google+ now. Finally. It feels like everybody else got in on those beta invites... and well, it's everything xkcd said it would be. Not facebook. And while I want to bring people over to Google+ for the sake of having a use for Google+ and to get them off of facebook for a bit... I also don't want people there, because it'll only turn into facebook again. Dilemmas, dilemmas...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi!
Welcome to the Google+ Club, Silver! Would love to add you, if only I were allowed to connect with people I don't really know in real life.
My main purpose there, really, is to get off Facebook (all of the unnecessary changes make FB lame now). My friends and I are trying to migrate all of our friends into the new website, mainly because we find it cooler than Facebook. Though Silver does have a point. More popularity in Google+ may eventually lead to the creation of another massive social network in chaos.
In other news, I'm checking here for tonight. Homecoming this weekend, woohoo!
Peace out!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I never cared much for social networks in general. Not that they can't be fun and/or useful, but the mostly strike me as a waste of time. Seems to me if there's someone you want to stay in touch with, sending an e-mail, IMing, chatting on forums (like this), or, heck, an actual phone call every now and then, is worth the effort. I do have a Facebook page but I don't use it much. But there are some people I want to keep in touch with who pretty much only talk to others via Facebook (and in person, but they live nowhere near me) so I'm kinda stuck. So, while I'm not a big fan of Facebook, a lack of interest in social networks in general combined with the fact that the handful of people I use Facebook to keep in touch with are only on Facebook means that I have virtually no interest in Google+. Besides, there's really only a few places Google+ can go at this point.
1: Most people stick with Facebook, Google+ fails to get the amount of active users it needs, and it eventually dies.
2: Google+ successfully draws away a large number of Facebook users, becoming the new social network of choice, and ends up being more or less just like Facebook is now. Pretty much like what Facebook did to MySpace.
3: Google+ manages to attract enough people to carve out a little niche that keeps it alive, but most people won't care since hardly anyone they know is on it.

Hey.
Have you heard the good news? They broke the speed of light maybe probably! My friend and I ran around to all the science teachers, going "HAVE YOU HEARD THE GOOD NEWS?!" and then filling them in. Almost every one already knew and were already geeking out about it :P
In other news, the freshmen in marching band that has been pissing me off continues to piss me off, my good friend's birthday party (that I wasn't invited to) is tomorrow and I have to wake up early. Whoo!

Hi! For my thoughts on that subject (more or less), see the latest xkcd.

Hi! So I've read through that xkcd a bit and found it to be pretty funny and awesome. I'll consider reading it more often.
Homecoming today, hooray! I'm excited to see my date in her dress.
Peace out!

Heya! Homecoming all week next week for me! All sorts of funky things abound, such as Punk Rock Day and Class Distinction Day, where we seniors get to wear togas! Should be fun for everyone!

Hi! I've been thinking for a while now that I should wash and vacuum my car but it's hard to do myself at an apartment (no hose or cordless vacuum) so I've been keeping an eye out for a good car wash place with vacuums. I spotted one yesterday...practically right across the street from the area where my apartment complex is. How did I miss that for so long? Well, anyway, guess I should head over tomorrow.

Moi,
Goodness, so many things going on this weekend. Homecoming (which I'm not really paying attention to), possibly breaking the speed of light (which is quite interesting to me), and that satellite falling to earth (which for about 4 seconds, in my mind, I though of the worst possible scenario with it falling right onto my house).
Okay, the week before homecoming was a bit interesting. On Monday, people wore funky hats. On Tuesday, people wore outfits with 60's/70's style in mind (or just dressed like hippies). Wednesday, a random color decided by the student council, namely, yellow. Thursday was our school colors (White/silver and royal blue), and Friday was...umm...I actually don't know. Possibly, it was just that the people in sports wore their uniforms...or something. As I said earlier, I wasn't really paying attention.
Arg, it took way too long to write this. Note to self: Don't try to watch Mythbusters and do anything else at the same time. It's difficult.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Greetings!
Homecoming was awesome yesterday. I just realized there are a lot more cool people at my date's school than my own school.
Regarding the speed of light, I find it interesting how many authors and artists created things in their works which travel much faster than the speed of light (ex. Superman.) I'm even more fascinated that the record is now broken in real life. Looks like humanity is about to discover the technology of aliens.
Peace out!

Hi! Nothing too exciting for me at the moment. I've gotta work late today (as previous mentioned) and grade a whole bunch of assignments. Yay...

Hey.
Ugh. Huge headache right now. And it's the kind that can't be cured by medicine... I can tell the difference, and this one is definitely brought on by having so much to do. Too much thinking. I had lotsa homework tonight, and I'm having issues finishing right now because every time I try to concentrate my head starts hurting like crazy. Ugh. I'd go and post in the RP right now, but my brain's hurting way too much.
Also, you can set the language of facebook to Leet Speak. Guess who's newsfeed now says "70p 570r!35 fr0m 7#3 1457 30 m!nu735" and whose status is liked by "Friend && Friend && Friend && 8 m04r n00bz <3 7h!5." Not to mention that instead of "comment" it's "7r0ll"

Hey!
Hope you're feeling better soon, Saber. *hug*
In other news, a good start to the week. It's gonna be even busier than last week, though, sadly... I haven't watched any anime for a while because of all this schoolwork, church services, and friend issues. I'm hoping I'll make it through it all, though!
Peace out!

Hi! I watched the premere of Terra Nova last night. Seems like they're aiming for a combination of Lost and Jurrasic Park. All and all, it was a fairly good start. If they do a good job developing the characters and main plot, it could end up being pretty cool.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
So, majorly stressed out right now. My dad talked to some sort of college-helpy-professional-dude and he says I probably have no shot at getting any need-based financial aid. Last week, my mom was complaining to me about how we don't have enough money and now she need to work extra hours. So I'm confused and freaking out because college is right around the corner. The guy also said that you get more scholarships if you apply Early Action and there's no way I'll have everything done by the early action deadline because I wasn't expecting to need to because my parents know NOTHING ABOUT COLLEGE AND AREN'T HELPING ME AT ALL and I have to do this all by myself and I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm so stressed out.... There's so much pressure on me to get into these crazy schools and I'm so scared I won't get into any and even if I do I won't be able to afford it. Sometimes, I wish I could just give up on the Ivys and MIT and just snag a merit scholarship to a state school... stupid ambition. Just gives me a headache.
