Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
You'll definitely be able to watched streamed movies without any difficulty, I can say that with confidence. Unfortunately, their selection of streamed movies is rather limited. In terms of TV series they have quite a lot, but most movies are DVD only. I can't confirm that they'll ship movies with no questions simply because I haven't tried. I think they would, just make sure he doesn't cancel the account without telling you because I doubt they'd be happy to have an inactive account with DVDs out...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Some anime stuff I've been watching lately:
Gundam Wing - I actually finished it over a month ago. This is quite an amazing series from my childhood.
G Gundam - Rewatched it halfway so far. I like it a little more than Gundam Wing, though I still prefer Heero over Domon.
Gundam Seed - Meh... Not really my type so far. I've only gone in about 14 episodes.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - The best among the four I've listed. Only 10 more episodes to go and them I'm finished. It's an outstanding show!

You should probably hold your opinion of Evangelion until you see the ending...

SPOILER WARNING
Eh, the ending of Evangelion wasn't that bad, I thought. It's sort of like an Inception ending, I believe, where it gives the viewers a lot of questions at the end of the story. Though I liked how Shinji resolved his internal conflict, I didn't get the point of all the "congratulations." I was like "what the fudge" with all the congratulations by all the people to Shinji. It also wouldn't surprise me how many whiny anime characters (some people would include Sasuke Uchiha, Kira Yamato, and Light Yagami) were inspired by Shinji Ikari. The ending was a little dissapointing, I agree. Overall, it was an amazing show altogether! I'm excited to watch the movies, too.

See, that wasn't the whole ending. It's abrupt, weird, and just kinda leaves things without really ending the story. As I explain in more detail in the Anime Help Center thread, you need to see The End of Evangelion movie to understand what's going on.
The ending kinda ruined Eva for me and even without it, I find the whole series a bit overrated. Sure it was revolutionary for its time and has its good point (especially the opening theme), but I don't think it deserves anywhere near as much attention as it gets.

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Watched my first episode of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" today from lots of demanding from my "brony" friends. It was, weird yet funny from time to time... Meh, perhaps another episode of this strange show will answer me why lots of teenage guys like it. Not sure how many bronies are on this site, but it'd be interesting to find some.

If that first episode was the pilot (and the episode after), then no, it will not answer to you why people like it so much.
Every other episode was great.
And yes, there's a brony right here.

Except the Cutie mark Crusader episodes. They were kind of annoying. All the rest were good.
Indeed, there are Bronies here. But Colly, do you even count? Of course, I have even less of an idea where to put your sisters... they're technically the intended audience, right? So... why do they act like Bronies...?

Bronies apply to any Pony fan who isn't a young girl under 10.
Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Best Buy was having a special where you get extra reward points if you sign up for Netflix so I decided to give the 30 trial a shot. The streaming selection isn't too bad, though it's missing a few shows and movies I would have liked to see and it doesn't have nearly as much anime as Hulu. I might keep it though. Or get Hulu Plus eventually. Except that if I hook my old laptop up to my TV I can watch most of the stuff on Hulu on said TV without having to pay for the Plus version that can run of my PS3.
But anyway, I finally got to watch through the entirety of Better Off Ted. Which is hillarious and really should have lasted for more than two seasons. I've also watched a few episodes of Glee and... I don't know... I love the concept and I want to like the show but I've got pretty mixed feelings about it. The music is great, at least so long as they're not doing songs I really don't like (which has happened a little too often so far), but I'm not sold on the characters. The entire cast is a combination of highschool comedy/drama stereotypes (conniving cheerleader, super good teacher, mean teacher, unpopular girl who is really pretty and dreams of becoming popular, etc, etc, etc) and a political correctness checklist (black, asian, gay, non-traditional household, etc; though they seem to missing a latino character, which is odd). And, in a nod to the increasingly prevalent liberal attitude that any non minority religion is bad, the afore mentioned conniving cheerleader is apparently also a devote Christian and the only clearly religious character on the show (I may not be Chrisitian myself, but that still irks me). Plus, there's just too many characters that are obviously placed there for you to dislike. One mean scheming character is fine (the cheerleading coach fits that bill well), but they've got several others (the teacher's wife, the head cheerleader, etc), which is a bit much. So yeah, not sure how much more of it I'll watch.
Back on the anime side, I finished Sailor Moon S and am going to check out Asura Cryin' before moving on to Super S.

AnoHana... Freaking AnoHana...
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved everything about it.
It's just... not a good idea to watch it all at once.
Too many tears...

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Why not? It didn't really hurt until the end.
And I guess episode 2 hit pretty hard, too.
And then there was that part in the middle...
Oh. Never mind then. Maybe don't watch it all at once.
But it's more like, don't watch it until you've already watched all the Key works you intend to watch. After watching Ano Hana, they seem like baby stuff.

How was Sailor Moon S? Personally, it was my favorite of the five arcs because it introduced my two favorite scouts (Saturn and Neptune.)Josiah wrote:Back on the anime side, I finished Sailor Moon S and am going to check out Asura Cryin' before moving on to Super S.
Anywho, I haven't watched that much anime recently. I've been rewatching this old reality show with Donald Trump, The Apprentice, and considering watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh! My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is also on my watchlist now.

Since the only times I really watch anime are when my friend keeps pestering me, I've been watching Nichijou at the behest of my friend. It's reallly quite amusing. Like a lot. A super lot.
