Remind yourself that dancing while in a trainer battle is forbidden under the official Pokemon Trainer handbook on page 382, subsection 3, paragraph 2. Then dance anyway.

Oh my god I am so sorry! Stuff happened. Lots of stuff. Well, today I was off, my Dad was at work, and the waves were flat, and my bro wasn't in the mood to guilt-trip me into going to the beach on a flat day again. So, I had time to work on this.
But still there's no excuse. There were times I could have worked on this before. I'm going to try to not do this again.
Several tackles later, both Pokemon are worse for wear.

Ehhhhhhhhh. Since you've just only recently stolen/rescued Kitty, you kind of don't want him to get a bad impression of you.
