Re: Daily Strip Discussion
The latest comic was pretty hilarious... Especially since that Brendan actually wanted that music guy to appear...
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
T'was a very good joke. I do love that song.

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
Just wanted to say I love how Josiah edits the Flannery sprite so her hair is always on fire. xD

Thanks. Though if I hadn't been in such as rush when I made a lot of those strips, I would have spent a bit more time to make the fire change in every panel.
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
I got so used to seeing Flannery's hair on fire that it stopped registering in my mind until Flannery pointed it out in Wednesday's comic. Whoops~
Josiah, I just noticed that for today's comic, the gym guy said that there were only five more badges to go. I do believe you meant "four" instead of "five", as the Heat Badge is the fourth badge. Just wanted to get that out. /o/

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
Oops. You're right. Thanks for the correction.
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
So I was looking through the Blooper Reels and found that the Role Play Week comic for 2009 was also placed in the Blooper Reel comic for 2010.

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
That's odd... Thanks for letting me know! I'll get that fixed...
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
Man, it's been ages since I've read this comic. Just read all the latest. Keep it up! ^^

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
I like how Breandan questions why Gym Leaders are respected for being beat everytime someone who actually is half-decent comes into their gym, you know I have the same question, why?
I thought Snivy was a grass version of Cyndaquil, that's the reason for my nickname, oh yeah check out my Youtube channel, grassaquilUV. (easy to remember, isn't it?)
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
To be fair to the gym leaders, they tend to be considerably more powerful in the anime and manga. In Pokémon Adventures especially, the gym leaders are highly skilled and rarely lose. In the games though, they tend to be over powered by a pretty sizable chunk of the world's random trainers.
Re: Daily Strip Discussion
I would comment on today's continuation of the Gym Battle, but it seems to have slipped into a black hole, so I'll just comment on the battle so far.
It seems Josiah has found a good niche for how long Slaking's Truant affects it under advanced rules. That is, every 2-3 comics, Slaking will attack. Correct? Also, I only just noticed Mew's subtle aura. Nice touch!
And on that note, strike me curious. How do you choose bonus comics? Forgive me for not knowing the mechanisms that tick around here.

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
I actually don't have a set number of strips for Slaking's Traunt, I more go by the flow of the battle and how much the other pokémon have done.
As for bonus comics... If you mean the regular Blooper Reel strips, those usually come down to me re-reading a batch of old strips (anywhere from 1 - 6 or so) and thinking of alternate dialogue, filming gaffs, or whatever. As soon as I come up with something I think it funny, I run with it. Though there are a few that are actually jokes I'd originally planned to use in the main comic and then dropped for one reason or another. If you're talking about the current run of special bonus comics, they're featuring the forum members who won awards in the annual Pebble Version Forum Awards contest.

Re: Daily Strip Discussion
Speaking of PVF Award comics, the archives display Shauni/Metalheads's award comic twice, the second time being where Doodleshark's comic should be.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it.
