So, I started at the TV tropes article for Robot Unicorn Attack, and I somehow ended up on a youtube vid of prisoners dancing the Hare Hare Yukai. Yeah, I don't even know.

Oi. Did the Weird Al Concert have new material because of the new album? From what I hear, he changes them up mostly around releases. I only got to see him after Straight Out of Lynwood.

Anyways, I'm not readjusting to work very well after two ridiculous weekends in New York and DC. In fact, I should be asleep right now.

Hi! A couple of weeks a go Me and a guy I talk with in a chatroom got talking and I'm happy to say, that I'm going to do the art for a collab comic! The basis of the comic is a Country Girl goes for a walk in her backyard, takes over the contract for a shapeshifting Cerberus, and the misadventures that follow. That's unfortunately all I can say on it though. Sorry, but when the comic is up, I'll put a link to it up so you guys can read it.

Hi! Al did most of the songs from Web Leaks, which is that online new album preview from last year. But he did those at last year's concert too. The only totally new song he did was I Preform This Way.

I'm off to Alabama tomorrow morning and I'm not getting back until late Thursday night so I may not be online much for the next couple of days. But I'll be starting nominations for The Forum Awards next week.

Hey.

So, PurplePrincess is leaving for India tomorrow. She's not coming back 'til the end of July... and she got to duck out of school a week early. So, I decided to show up at her house after work today to give her gummy worms and say goodbye. I still can't get over the feeling, however, that there's now a gap between us that slowly got bigger over this past year... Like, when I appeared at her house, she didn't look happy, just surprised. And, when I hung at her house for a bit... conversation just seemed awkward. Agh. She's my best friend, but I know I'm not hers, but it still hurt to be treated like we're only kind of friends. When I was driving home, though, I started crying, 'cos it really hit me that I wouldn't be seeing her for a month and a half. And, with my luck, I won't get to see her in the 4 days she's home before she goes off to GYLC for 10 days. I'm such a wuss.

Gah. I've just had this overall growing fear that I'm so far from my friends now. As stupid as it sounds, I just feel like there's a missing part that's all empty and awful. What's worse, is I used to feel like I had it... whatever it is. Now I don't. I don't even feel like I really have a best friend, or even really close friends, anymore. I feel like calling her my best friend is just me trying to hold onto a title that has become meaningless, because clearly I don't matter to her as much as she matters to me. And I'm back to having no one I trust enough to confide anything in. I almost feel like I could just pack up everything and leave and not care, and have no one care that I'm gone. Almost.

Ragh. That kind of turned into a rant. Sorries. I'm just not in the best of moods. I didn't know my mom was home, and I think she saw me crying and I didn't cover it up well and... bah.

I've been reflecting a lot lately, mainly on my internet behavior. I used to take everything so seriously when I was younger. I started using the internet when I was five... I guess that's what helped me put me at the bar that I'm at right now... but I can say that I only managed to whip my behavior into shape as of.... last year I suppose. I looked back on deviantART, read my comments, thoughts that followed "SHEESH. I WAS A BRAT.", I looked back at old Maple Story screenshots, reflect on the happenings of each one and say "GAWD I WAS AN IDIOT." I LOOKED BACK ON A FORUM THAT I WAS ACTIVE ON JUST LAST YEAR, AND SAY " WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?!", and now I look at the way I act on the internet and I say, "Wow, time sure has passed since then. Ipraytogodnobodyremembersmefromtherethough."
"At least that means you were only the annoying 9 year old cursing everyone off rather than the annoying 12 year old." ... How comforting, friends.

Oh yah, made it back in time for Forum Awards... ...It's a whole lot of voting, isn't it? (guess that means no activity spasms for me).
OH YAH, THAT ALSO MEANS SOON I'LL HAVE BEEN A FORUM MEMBER FOR A YEAR. These moments...always precious Nah, I kid.

Hi! Made it to Alabama ok. Tomorrow I've got a whole bunch of meetings and stuff going on and right after that's all done it back to the airport for my return trip so I may not have a chance to really get online again till Friday. This seems like a nice enough place so far. I still don't know all the details about the job (salary, benefits, etc), but I think it would be a decent bit better than the Florida job I'm considering. To some extent, I'd rather have the job at UAT over this one or the Florida one since I'm familiar with it and I've got a really nice setup in Phoenix right now, though here or Florida I would get summers off, which probably wouldn't happen at UAT, so that'd be kind of cool. Three whole months a year to work on my own projects, catch up on video games, travel, hang out in Japan, or what not...

Yes I'm still alive. Been ghosting mostly. I've got a new job thats going great and the weddings getting closer. And closer. And Closer. . .

It's kindda just speeding up on us and its slowly all coning togeather. Needs to come togeather quicker.

I also know the feeling of looking back at posts you made years ago and going 'what the hell was I thinking'.

Hi! Nice to hear from you, Kaida.

I've come to the realization that, aside from some unpacking and random chores, I really don't have much I need to do today. So this seems like a good time to spend the afternoon watching anime while doing some minor image formatting on the artwork for Car Washer's story mode (adjusting sizes, saving everything out as individual jpgs instead of multi-layer Photoshop files, etc), which I really should get done before returning to Aurora's Nightmare. But first, I've got a free movie ticket and a $20 gift card at best buy so I'm thinking Kung Fu Panda 2 and a bit of shopping.

Hey Kaida, long time no see. Didn't realize you were MIA like I was. Anyway, I got some good news if you care, I'm going to work on a collab comic, I've only got three drawn, and waiting on the next part of the script from my partner in this. It's also not online yet, but it will be sometime in the fall so I have the summer to work on it.

Also, got NWN on my laptop, and I am having fun on it.Also going to try and balance the game with online time and drawing time. And I put an art dump in my old art thread.... I've improved alot since I last put something in there I think. Check it out and let me know what you think, okay?

Hey.

Last day of school was today! Well, officially, it's tomorrow, but I have no finals tomorrow, so... I'm done! Yay! Except I have 3 AP's worth (I signed up for 4, but they could only fit me in 3... and even when I tried to add a different one, they couldn't fit me in that one either... sigh) of summer assignments to do, so I'm not really relaxed. It hardly feels like summer, since I'm starting working 9-2 next week, and I'm gonna be doing that most of the summer. And two of my closest friends aren't around because they're off in India. Hm.

So... just chillin', I guess!

Hi! I haven't signed the paperwork yet but it looks like I've got a job teaching the new game design program at Florida Gateway College. It's just a minor (or maybe associate degree) for now and this fall will be the first semester. At this point, I have mixed feelings about it. Teaching isn't my first choice, but teaching game design should be fun. The location and salary could be better too, but it's not too far from the beach and if I had a couple days off I could drive to Orlando and go to Disney World or something. The main pros of teaching are that I should have a decent amount of time to work on my own projects (Car Washer, Aurora's Nightmare, my books, etc) and, of course, summer break. My initial contract will be for nine months (fall and spring semesters) so we'll see what happens (how much student interest the game program gets, whether or not the school likes me, how I like the job and area, etc).

So my friend has started this thing where he talks about this restaurant that sells sandwiches. He mentions it in casual conversation occasionally. The only thing is that this restaurant doesn't exist. When my sis's roommate came down for a few days to see her boyfriend and my sis, the mentionings increased and the boyfriend even joined in on it. My sis began to get a little irritated by them because she didn't believe them for the most part, but still couldn't tell if they were joking.

So I made a website for the store. And a facebook page.

She believed it. :D The disappointing thing though is that my friend showed it to her when I wasn't around, so I didn't get to see her reaction. And he told her it was fake shortly after so I didn't get to see her reaction to that either. It was still pretty funny.

It was kind of funny how much I put into it. I mean, I made short bios for the two managers, a history, I photoshopped the restaurant's name on a picture of a small restaurant, created a menu, listed store hours, even included a location and contact information. For the phone number I found a real restaurant that had a similar name, so if someone called it they'd think that it was the fake restaurant. Not only that, but I don't like to pull tricks on people. Welp, guess it was just an all around weird thing for me. My other sister said I was like Andy Dufresne or something :P.
