Pebble Version Mad Libs!

Post by Silver »

I always liked these things. Anyone else know them? They were fun and they're semi-grammar related. And it's something we can easily do over the Internet! So here's how this game works. I'm going to take some chunk of text, replace certain words with blanks, and tell you what kind of words are missing. You're going to post one word at a time to fill these blanks, and then I'll share the whole thing with you. So, for example, I would post:
Noun
Adjective
Verb

And then you guys would be like:
Person A - "Liger."
Person B - "Inflatable!"
Person C (or A again, maybe) - "Flop." (Special thanks to Colly for the word contributions)

And then I would post:

"Pidgeot is so much better than Liger! It's stronger, cooler, and so inflatable! Everyone should flop Pidgeot just like I do."

Hopefully, you all know your parts of speech, so pay attention to what the person before you posts, huh? The list of words we need will be in this first post, and I'll add in the words as they're posted as often as I can. Also, I'll post the first few stories, but we can take turns later on, like being narrator in mafia. Ideally, we'll get a combination of genuine madlibs from the books, totally made up stories, and text taken from elsewhere with blanks thrown in. You know, keep everyone on their tows. Anyways, all that aside, these are the kinds of words I need right now:

Noun - Lemon
Adverb - Succinctly
Noun - Castle
Plural Noun - Fish
Adjective - Miniscule
Celebrity - Bieber
Plural Noun - Octopi
Noun - Chip
Adjective - Infuriating
Noun
Noun
Place
Adjective

Noun
Vern
Place
Noun
Adjective
Verb ending in "ing"
Verb
Part of Body
Adjective
Silly Word

Verb ending in "ed"

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Galumph and Sphygmomanometer to start off with.

One word at a time, yeah? I'll accept Galumph as a verb, but Spygoatmeter is rejected.

And now for the finished product!

Pebble Version

Brendan: I can't believe mom is making me galumph all the way to Hoenn in the back of the moving truck... Bet she just wanted the Gameboy to herself on the Kyoto ride... Oh well, I suppose it could be mushy.
Radio: And we now return to the top ten lame song countdown here on KSUK!
Brendan: Just decimate me now...
Driver: Driving an antelope with my cement on!
Brendan: Does he have to acquiesce along? I'm beginning to think that this driver is a couple fries short of a Toothsome meal...
Driver: PLATYPUS!!!
Brendan: Well, that erupts that question...

I find it pretty funny that you guys got two of those words pretty close to the original... if you count "country" and "lame" as the same, anyway. On to the next one!
