Ok.... So my favorite pokemon of all time is Blaziken. Because I was deprived of video games til I was 12 and a fire fighting pokemon that looks like a super hero is awesome when your 12. Anyone who wants to pull that "Its a stupid chicken" line is free to fight my evd (but not ivd) blaziken any time. Anyhow, apparently he gets a new ability in black and white, although I do not exactly understand how. Which I am totally cool with, because it is speed boost, and the last thing anyone wants is my blaziken faster. But, in my favorite list, up at the top is scizor. And as seen in this link http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... ability%29 Scizor will get a new, and utterly useless to me, ability. I like my technician. I like it more than any other ability in the game. So someone please tell me the hidden abilities are optional.

Yeah, they're optional. How it works is, they all have their same standard abilities that they had up through fourth gen normally, but if you catch them in the "Dream World" (it's an online thing), they have the new ability. So, if you want the new ability, hunt for them in the Dream World; if you don't... I believe it's been said that we'll be able to import Pokemon from D/P/P and HG/SS. So you could get them through that. I honestly don't know how many old Pokemon will be catchable in-game without use of the Dream World...

Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."

Yeah, that's gonna be a tough one. But the good thing is that they're giving value to Magikarp now.
I heard that it's going to be a gift pokemon. which means unobtainable in the wild like in the previous games.
so no more fishing in lakes and rivers going though endless waves of Magikarp just for a fish better than it.
It's going to be great owning people with a rare Gyarados.

Aw, but endless magikarp are actually pretty convenient when you need a bunch of junk pokémon trade between games (I use them when trading my old pokémon to a version).

...I never though that's how they could be of use. I just went straight to the "run" button if I ever fished one. I honestly never found them worth my time until I found out that it was stopping me from 100 percenting my pokedex. I actually think that I'm going to miss those old nuisances.

Okay, so who's on Dream World.

I'm CollyChan on it. Friend me if you find me. I've obtained a Grepa Berry and will share it once I grow some. I'm seeking the other EV reducing berries as well.

I'm MugiwaraSilver, and I don't have any EV reducing berries to offer, though I've collected most everything else...

But yeah, the thing that really sucks about the Dream World is the friend system. You need to trade with people, or else it's completely impossible to get all berries, but you can't search for people at all. The people that you find are totally random... So I've been unable to find Colly so far. Which sucks. Also, you can grow berries in the Dream World and transfer them to your game, but you can't transfer berries from game to Dream World... Which is why you need to trade to collect them.

Question. Is there any point in using EV reducing berries on Level 100 Pokémon or would that be a waste since they can't level up? I know that way back in R/B, pokémons' stats could still be increased a bit after they hit level 100 since they were recalculated every time you stored them in the PC, but I don't know if the newer games work that way.

Nope, once you have a Pokemon at level 100, there's no point in changing their EVs, since EV stat increases happen through level-up.

WROOOOOOOONG!
In 5th Gen, EV calculation is now separate from experience gain, which means that it is possible to EV train level 100 pokémons.

Wait, really? Pics or it didn't happen.

Er... I guess that's cool and all, but now I have to wonder... if I EV train a level 100 Pokemon (like, say, that Arceus they gave out) in a fourth gen game, then transfer it to B/W... would it magically gain EVs somehow? That would be kinda weird...
