Hi! I have a DSi so I can't play a Japanese copy of B&W. And, aside from that, I'm not sure how easy it would be for me to read. Actually, since it's a kids game it might have an option to play without kanji, which would make it doable. There's still so many words I don't know though...

Greetings!

Personally, I can't stand playing games in a language I can't read or understand... (minus Project DIVA, I still had fun with that). I believe the first time I tried that I was in 2nd or 1st grade? Well, I was a kid so it's understandable as to why I got bored...

Hi! I can read some Japanese, but text heavy games like RPGs are tough (and near impossible if there's a lot of kanji I don't know). But when it comes to playing games in a foreign language, it just depends on the game. Things like music games and platformers usually don't have a lot of story or anything so it's no big deal if you can't read the text or understand the voice acting.

Aloha, I must that I know what Josiah is talking about, since the beginning of the school year I have been taking Japanese, but I'm not fully capable of reading and writing Kanji, since there is so many variations of ways you can say things in it. Glad to be back though :)

Hi! Um Luke, if you expect to be fully able to read and write all the kanji after a few months of classes I've got some news for you. It takes Japanese school kids something like 9 years to learn all the kanji, and they're exposed to them every day. Unless you've got a photographic memory, learning all the kanji takes a very long time, especially if you're not living in Japan.

Cha!

There was this joke on Azumanga Daioh were one of the characters couldn't write all the letters for the word cafe in kanji and she was like, late teens. Doesn't it get confusing though? words have different meanings the way they are written, but are spoke phonetically the same. I know that is the case over here to, but you can tell the meaning of the word by the content in which it is spoken. is that easy to do in spoken Japanese?

HEY GUYS. GUESS WHAT I FOUND TODAY.

It's this!

...It kinda loses it's funny when I admit that I put them in there, but... They were nearby, anyway. And come on, I see that label, and what am I supposed to think?
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Words with the same sound but different meanings aren't really any more difficult in Japanese than any other language. It's more likely you'll mishear a word entirely since many Japanese people speak very quickly and quietly.

Moi!

Well, I finished my Social Studies test a while ago, and I've been trying to make time go by faster. I've drawn untill my hand cramped, I've gone on every single site that the school allows us on, and I've finished homework that isn't due untill next week, and I still have 15 more minutes to go....I just want to get this Earth Science test over with so I can go home...Blah...Ah well, time to go waste time by standing outside the testing room!

Hiya!

I'm gonna on be less and less active from here on out. So far this school year I've maintained a B average in my AP World History, and I really need to work on this next semester maintaining that B average. Plus, I made a ton a new friends the past few months, and it's really taking my time off PVF. And last, my band and all my bandmates. Yeah, this semester will be even busier than ever.

I'll come on for Mafia and stuff, tho. :P Hope you're having a blast at your new job in Japan, Josiah! :)

Moi,

Blah...little less then an hour untill my Math mid-term. After I finish it, I might go home and sleep or play 'Megaman: 15th anniversary collection' that I am borrowing from my god brothers...I've been sitting in the library studying, going on the sites we're allowed to be on, and reading some random books I found. I found out that it is very hard to purposely waste time. In fact, I think it's impossible, because you only 'waste' time when you're supposed to be doing something else, normally more important, so if you try to waste time, you're not wasting time, because that is normally the most important thing for you to be doing at that moment. Actually, I'm wasting time right now talking about this, because I'm not wasting time like I normally do....and now I have Collective Soul's song 'wasting time' stuck in my head. Great.

Cha!

That's the only good thing about full time employment, well apart from the money of course, is not having homework or exams. Working over time doesn't count because I still get paid to be there. I feel sorry for people that have a full time job (long hours) AND have to take work home with them, its like the two worst things from work and school...combined!

I'm playing Pokemon Snap on a N64 at the moment....man Prof Oak is pickie....

Hi! I need to leave work early tomorrow so I can get to the city ward and get my gaijin card which, for some reason, my company wants me to get before I get my work visa. That's opposite the way I did it last time, and seems like it'll mean an extra trip to the office but whatever. Unfortuantely, the city office is only open during working hours and even though it's my company that needs me to go and I won't be leaving until I've finished teaching all my classes for the day, I'm still going to get docked several hours worth of pay for leaving early. <.<

Well, that's a bloody rip off! BTW, what the heck is a gaijin card? I know Gaijin is a Japanese word meaning "non-Japanese", or "alien", but why the heck do you need a card saying that if you have a work visa?
