Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Good to know that there's a translation for Tsubasa. I'll have to get it next time I see it. Wish MangaGamer would pick up the Higurashi fan disk though... But yeah, I haven't played Umineko 1-4 yet. Trying to decide what to play next between it, Kira Kira, Tears to Tiara, and Urawaimono. I figure by the time I get through all of those the patches for Atraxia and some of those Key games will be done. And I just found out that there are complete patches for a couple of other Key games already finished (ones I haven't bought yet, of course).
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Clannad will always stay frozen where it is. Always.
I can easily point you to the direction of the translation leak however.
Air will never get a translation project. Air has always been on and off, but nobody really wants to commit their time to it.
In a year or so, Little Busters' patch should be out 100%. I'm eagerly awaiting that one.
As for the other Key games that have patches, I can only name a few. Under Key: Kanon and Planetarian (really short read, but still great). Under Tactics: ONE and Moon.
Fate/Hallow Ataraxia is making decent progress. Though, it will probably take a year or so for it to release 100%.
As for which VN to start, unfortunately, I have not read any of them. Utawarerumono was kind of ignored here but only because of its bad translation release time, so I know nothing of that one. Tears to Tiara and Kira Kira both get great reviews. I'd be stuck in this choice too...
EDIT: Also introducing the fully updated VN recommendation list:

Opinions will vary.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi!
Actually, the Clannad patch started up again and it looks like they might be on track to finish it in the not too distant future. I did find the leaked version though and, if the "official" patch isn't done by the time I get caught up on other visual novels I'll go ahead and grab it.
Air is looking iffy, yeah.
I've already played Kanon.
I'll be getting Plantetarian and One at some point (I didn't initially know they were patched and I'm out of money at the moment).
Atraxia, Little Busters (which I should also get once I have money again), and (maybe) Tomoyo After (which I may also pick up) seem to be on track to finish eventually. Gotta wonder how long it'll take though.
Thanks for that image, BTW. I didn't realize Chaos Head had a patch, now I'll need to get it too (if only to find out what the heck was going on in the anime)... As for some of the other games on that list: Manga Gamer has Shuffle and liscensed ef, which I'll pick up sooner or later (along with Soul Link, Da Capo, and the upcoming Koihime Musuo). Tsukihime is on my absolute must buy list (since I REALLY loved Fate) but I've yet to find a copy (though it took my a while to figure out how the stores organized their doujin game sections so I might have missed it before). I have a feeling that JList has Family Project, but I could be wrong. 999 got or is about to get a US release on the DS. As for the rest, I'm not familiar with most of them but will keep them in mind for the future (far in the future when I finish the stuff I've got).
But yeah, as soon as I find the time I'm going to start something... I'm thinking I'll wait a little longer on Umineko just caught the the whole thing should be patched in a few months and then I can play them all in a row. So I'll probably do either Tears to Tiara or Kira Kira...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Chaos Head has a patch, but there is one problem... It's a pain to get.
Jast kind of licenced all Nitro+ games, so all fan translations were halted and removed, including Chaos Head and Saya no Uta. What hurts even more is that Jast shows no plans to work on either of them. Kind of my number one reason I hate Jast, and why I only bought one VN from them (Yume Miru Kusuri, before they pulled the Nitro+ licence).
Funny enough, before MangaGamer got ef, a fan translation completely finished that as well. Which is why MangaGamer is using that translation with minor editing.
...Which is what Jast should do with Saya no Uta and Chaos Head...
Didn't know that Clannad started up again, I completely gave up on that one. Cool to see that it might finally be finished.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I was about to say that I'd never heard of Jast. But then I looked up their site and noticed that their catalogue is identical to JList's, so I guess it's more or less the same guys. They do have a couple interesting titles there, and their prices are much better than MangaGamer's, but they focus almost exclusively on the more sex driven games so...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Finals/Midterms this week. Ah. Ah. Ah. AH.
Most finals I've ever had... 3 AP midterms (AH) (not to mention a unit test in APUSH tomorrow... Thurs being the first day of finals), a chem final, a gym final (technically... it's like, name everyone in the class, tho) and then a Spanish final project... that's 6, counting gym, and the most I've had before is 4. And those usually had some easy ones mixed in. NOT THIS TIME WHEEEEEEEEEEE.
So Spanish project is a video and we've finished filming so I'm editing like CRAZY 'cos it's due Thurs and I have to factor in the time it takes to burn two DVD's so I'm kind of like AHHHHH and kind of FREAKING OUT but ahhhh calm down calm down AHHHH WHYY WOULD SHE PUT A UNIT TEST THE FREAKING DAY BEFORE THE MIDTERM FOR APUSH!? That midterm is gonna be ABSURD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
And that's why I haven't been around as much... and why I probably won't continue to be around much.

Hi! Nice to hear from someone, the forums have been pretty dead lately. Not that I've been all that active either... Should have more time next week once. A nine hour work day with an hour commute doesn't leave a ton of time afterwards and I've still got traveling planning to do. Should have more time next week though

Moi!
Haven't been active for a while, since I've been sick with a nasty cold. I'm feeling better now though...kinda...well enough to go to school and not complain to much.
I have had an awsome day so far. I found a rubber mouse and have been scaring people with it. It's very much fun~
Hey, guess what? I have Mid-terms next week! My first mid-terms ever! Ah-HaHaHahahaha...ha...wahh...to much studying to do. On Tuesday, I have my Social Studies and Earth Science mid-terms, then on Wednesday, I have Math, then on Thursday is Germen. Whoop-de-doo.
Ehh...that's all I can think of. other then it's been getting warmer around here....odd...
EDIT: Hey!, just got back from the dentist, and I got the news that soon, I'll be getting my 1, 16, 17, and 32 surgically removed. (that is, my wisdom teeth that haven't come up yet.) Goodie goodie...
Also, I have come to a conclusion: I watch to many shows about deadly diseases. Plus having a mom who's a nurse with lots of medical books, It can lead to some very odd self-diagnosies. It makes me feel a bit paranoid...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Greetings.
I haven't been active due to massive studying and whatnot (plus procrastination) *ahem*.
So, 'tis the time of the Marking Period when we get pummeled with work, and tests. Considering the fact that Quarterly Tests are coming up soon, I need to study hard in Science if I want the grade that I'm aiming for. Plus, I need to practice on my Explanatory Essays in English, PLUS, improve my handwriting! *looks at handwriting next to student who sits by me* AAAGGGHHH! IT'S A MEESSSSS!!! *orz*
So the other day (yesterday?) it finally rained! YESSS!!!!! I won't have to deal with this awful snow anymore! *slips on ice* But then.... there's that. But, temperatures are getting warmer! Yay! But they'll probably drop again! Dang! But March is in a few months! Yay!
Can't say much else. See ya!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Speaking of writing, some of the kids in my English classes can write print a lot neater than I can... Though I can actually understand it, so that's a plus. Anyway, I got a whole lot of potential day trips planned. Now I just need to work on my over night trip and my trip during my big break at the end of Feb and beginning of Mar. Also trying to figure out a good time for King of the Forums this year...
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Cha!
King of the forums? Man, we just did week of randomness! All these cool forum activities!
man, I'm having a BAD week. Spent most of Tuesday vomiting due to dodgy grapes
, hit a bollard on Wednesday and destroyed my back passenger door
. Today hasn't been to bad except for the Silent Hill style fog making me nearly hit another car. Her's was grey and so was mine, I don't think we saw each other until it was nearly to late...
The only good thing that is going on is the Aqua Aerobics classes I've started going to and the fact I suddenly own a Sega Dream cast and a Nintendo 64
. I got my Dreamcast with 2 remotes and a memory card for £10 from gamestation and a N64 console only (no games or control pads) from a boot sale mixed in with a Sega Megadrive (no control pads or power, I don't think it works but the little power light comes on but it makes terrible noises from the speaker port) and a PSOne slim (plugged it in and it shorted out) and a box of accessories for PSOne, which seem to work. I got all the for £10! I though the Nintendo was a dud to when it didn't show a picture, but I didn't know it didn't have a load in screen. When I booted it up with a game is came on! Now I'm just waiting for a controller and I can FINALLY play pokemon snap nearly 10 years after it come out!
Speaking of Pokemon, Black and White have a confirmed release date of 4th march in the Uk! Been playing the Japanese one with little to no understanding of the plot but still really enjoyed it
. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the English version!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Oh, then one day, well, my father had this fabulous library in the back of the house, and when I was about eleven, I guess, I found this medical textbook. It had pictures of the male and female anatomy. Well, I thought that was pretty interesting. I used to read that book a lot!PoisonWing14 wrote:It can lead to some very odd self-diagnosies. Were you interested in medicine, or just the pictures?
Well, no, I...
[Insert singing with lots of overlap here]
And from the book I diagnosed my own appendicitis.
Next day I went to the doctor down the block,
Sure enough, acute appendicitis!
They rushed me right to the hospital
Well, I figured this book would cover everything
The rest of my life!
And then when I turned thirteen, I had my first - wet dream. Well, I went right to the medical journal. Milky discharge...milky discharge, milky discharge
Gonorrhea!
I was in shock.
Gonorrhea!
Before I'd even started. I was terrified. I couldn't tell my mother I had
Gonorrhea!
-A Chorus Line
Yeah. That's what popped into my head when I read that :P I knew the kid who played that part when we did it at the high school.... freakin' hilarious.
Anywho, just got through my AP US final today, and turned in my Spanish IV project without a hitch! I actually think I did pretty well on my APUSH exam, but it was wicked hard :/ I already know I got two wrong, just gotta hope I don't get anymore wrong :P
Tomorrow is AP Stat (which I have BARELY begun to study for... awesome) and Chem (which I've heard is impossible from many people, and then one guy said it was easy). Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
May the Triforce be with you.

Nice Saber. >w< You actually made me go to my mom's Merck Manual and look up Gonorrhea. Yuck....
Gah, next week, starting Tuesday, I start my mid terms. I'm perfectly fine with E. science and German, but a bit worried about Social studies and Algebra. (Kind of weird that I don't have an English mid-term...well, I'm actually happy about it~)
And, then after mid-terms, in gym, we start our dreaded swimming unit! Woo... (I love swimming, just not with other people.)

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! It's finally the weekend, yay! Not sure what I'll be doing on Sunday yet, but I'm got plenty of potential day trips all planned out that I can choose from.
Looks like spring is going to be tough from a gaming standpoint though. My copies of Re:Coded and LBP2 are sitting in the US right now (and, unless I decide to remain in Japan past April, will probably stay there till I get back) and Pokémon B&W, Dissida Duodecim, and the 3DS are all coming out before I'll be back in the US (once again assuming my plans don't change). And I that's not even mentioning Ghost Trick and 999, which I really want to get... Where am I going to find the time and money?

You should buy Black and White while you are over there. You can read Japanese right? The game is awesome. I cant read the text but I'm still having fun with it. It will also work on any original DS as well, but apparently DSi is region restricted.
