'Lo, peeps. My parents are divorced, and tomorrow I'm opening gifts my family on my Mom's side. The reason I am opening gifts so early is because my Mom and my stepfather are going to be spending most of the Christmas break in Las Vegas. Without me or any of their children. Normally I would complain about this, but the thought of being in Las Vegas during Christmas doesn't really appeal to me. Plus it means I get to spend lots of time with my Dad. Doei.

Greetings!

So after I finished volunteering, I went home and onto the computer, of course. I started scrolling through my old pictures that I posted on dA. And... wow.... I've got to say.... "What?! I used to be THAT bad at coloring?" I'm proud in myself now.

Hi! Yeah, looking at old artwork is generally rather shocking. I was pretty proud of my final project for my first figure drawing class but when I went back and looked at it after finishing my second figuring drawing class...ugh so many thing were wrong...

....No one is posting in RPs. Seriously.

My life has been mainly uneventful. I was standing outside for four hours on Friday as part of a live nativity scene. In the cold. 2 hours yesterday. On Friday, I got to hang out with the girl I like, so it was more enjoyable. Other than that, nothing eventful until Saturday. Go Christmas! And Decemberween!

Hey.

My life is ridiculously busy. Ahh. Ah. AHHHHH.

AP US test on Tues. Only read 3/4 chapters for that. Each chapter takes at least two hours to read. AP Physics B test on Wed on electricity and NO ONE IN CLASS UNDERSTANDS IT IT MAKES NO SENSE AHHHHH! In chem, we were warned about possible pop quizzes this week. Also, my friend wants me to sponsor him for Mr. *insert name of my high school here* and I'm like "AHHHH" because he had suggested like a YEAR ago that I would sponsor him but that was when I was on better terms with him and he was like "So, you're my sponsor?" and I think it would be fun but I'm really not sure if I wanna sponsor HIM but he just kind of decided that I am with or without my consent so WHOO! And I've also got jazz band tomorrow after a Mr. *HS* brainstorming sesh with him, and homework, and studying for that AP US test. Then first rehearsal for The Laramie Project on Tues (SO PUMPED) and studying like crazy for Physics and getting a Christmas present for my dad and making more Christmas presents for my friends and then Wednesday and TV club party and get those presents finished and then Thursday stay after for show choir band practice then go home practice piano for Christmas Eve service on Friday because the Trans Siberian Orchestra version of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is WAY HARDER THAN IT SHOULD BE and I just can't seem to get it for some reason AND THEN IT'S CHRISTMAS AND I GET TO TAKE A CHILL PILL THANK GOD

But until then... goodbye, life!

Hi! More confusion with the job stuff. See, the school board for that one Japan job is taking their sweet time getting back to the company on whether or not they want me (or any English teacher for that matter) for the rest of the semester. So, while I could go to Japan, there's no guarentee I'd have that job when I got there. There's another position I could have as a back up (or maybe just take outright) which is actually closer to Tokyo. Only problems are that decent housing is more difficult to find in the area and it's not a full time position. On the plus side, I'd have a lot more free time. On the down side, I'd only make about the equivalent of 2 months salary instead of 3 (though I'd probably have enough free time to find some part time work if I wanted). Plus, I'd need to be in Japan in like two weeks from now which isn't a whole lot of time to prepare or find a reasonably priced flight.

My dad also suggested I look into a game testing place they have here in Phoenix since I know a guy who is working there. He isn't sure if they're hiring, but gave me the contact info for the guy I'd need to talk to. While I do like Phoenix, game testing isn't that great of a job. It's technically industry experience, but very low level, and the place here just tests (the games are actually made elsewhere in the country) which means getting promoted up to designer isn't all that easy. Moving to Phoenix, however, would be a whole lot easier than Japan but who knows when I'd be able to go to Japan again and I'd only have to commit for three months. Though I would miss GDC...

Either way I need to figure things out soon. Ugh...

Hey.

It's snowing. Life is good right now :)

(Well, not really, but we try and let the little things make us happy!)

Hi! I made it back to CO. I doin't know for sure quite yet but it's looking extremely likely that I'll be headed to Japan shortly after new years. I should know for sure in a day or two. Maybe tonight if I'm lucky. Got some stuff to catch up on now that I'm home so I'll need to save the forum stuff for tomorrow morning though.

Cha!

God, we have like 5 foot of snow here on Friday last week and there is still major road, train and airport delays....England is such a laughing stock when you look at Russia and Alaska with like triple the amount.

It isn't like we didn't know it was coming either, we had terrible snow last year.

it is a bit odd that we got it in November and December though. it's normally here like February and never this heavy.

Word to the wise Josiah, I don't know how your flights would work for Japan, but avoid English airports like the plague for now. I hear a lot of the rest of Europe has been hit hard as well, but because of the Uk's position, we get hit with it first.

I hear Scotland is the worst hit. City Link and DPD just refused to take anything there since last week. I also hear there is a terrible back log of parcels. Tones of presents held up to....I feel sorry for the people that aren't going to get them in time.

Snow is pretty but a bloody nightmare.

Merry Christmas!

Hi! If you haven't seen my latest PV news post yet, I'm going to Japan (barring some big diaster or amazing job offer taking place in the next week or so). More details to come in Friday's news post, but I'm planning to take advantage of the fact that the contract only goes through March and return to the US sometime in April (after a bit of after job touring, of course). I like Japan, sure, but I like the US too and I really want to get a job in something game related if at all possible. I suppose I might change my mind, but that's the current plan.

Thanks for the warning, Shauni. Fortunately though, the US has plenty of direct flights to Japan so I should have no trouble avoiding Europe entirely.

Hi! We're back!!! We might have lost a few posts somewhere but everything is up and running again. And, if we're lucky, we won't have those connection errors anymore. Merry last few hours of Christmas!

Also, anyone who likes Zelda should check out Brawl in the Family's 300th comic.

Greetings from down under and a Merry Christmas.

Yay We're Back ^_^.

It's been raining here... constantly, all day. I finally Have PMD Explorers of the Sky. About time I got it since it's been out for ages. Currently runing around as an Eevee with a Pilup.

Also, I kicked my tose this morning on the side table. It my little toe, it was all swollen and sore and hurts to put pressure on it.
So what do I do. I stub it on a chair leg at my grandads.
I now have a very sore, very swollen little toe with lovely purple bruises all over the sides. No it's not broken, I can move it. It just hurts.

Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!

Gee, the forum's been down for quite a while. It's really good to be back. Hope everyone got what they wanted and had a great time with friends and family. Ta ta.
