Hey.

So, today was surprisingly nice! Except for Stat, but meh. Quiz in AP Stat today... it was the hardest thing we've ever taken in that class, by far... good thing it's an easy class. Totally caught me off guard... good thing I studied, but I'm still kinda nervous about that one. Anyways, then in AP US we had a presentation today... and it went very well, completely unrehearsed and I rememberd my info and only had to look at my notecard like twice, so that was nice :) Then we got back our test from a couple weeks ago (It was a DBQ test if that means anything to my fellow history AP'ers. It's basically a type of essay test... similar to the synthesis essay on the AP English Language and Comp exam), so since it was an essay-ish thing, I was not expecting high marks at ALL since she grades so hard on those and it was disappointing because on the previous test (a multiple choice test) I got a 92.5, which is the lowest possible A, so I had an A in the class.... and then I got my test back and wanted to scream in joy because it was a 93 :) The next highest grade I know of was an 89... so I was just a tad excited :P

Auditions were yestday... tomorrow morning they post a list of who gets a callback, and then callbacks are after school... kind of super nervous for that :/

Working on my final project for one of my art classes. I'm surprised to admit I'm actually having lots of fun. Fun! With a final! The world is ending...
Then again the final was really open-ended and lets us do anything we want, as long as it involves some form of thinking compositionally. So I'm drawing one of my roleplay characters. In front of a shattered mirror. That can also double as a pane of shattered glass, depending on how you look at it. Ohoho.
Currently wrestling with the coloring, 'cause I've been using Crayola colored pencils for far too long and because I don't have a very good grasp of color theory.

No school today because of snow, sweet. I don't really have much to do all day, but I'm glad that I had a pretty good school week. I was thinking of just playing my guitar all day or just browsing PVF of whatever I want. Anywho, cya later.

Hey.

So, heart pounding, I practically ran to the drama room this morning to check the callback list... and I got a callback :D :D They were afterschool today, and there were like 20 of us, and she said she's going to cast 4 boys and somewhere around 6-8 girls (it's actually written for 4 boys, 4 girls but there are like 30 parts in the play... there's a TON of doubling up, that's how it's supposed to be). If I haven't mentioned, the play is The Laramie Project. At first, I didn't like the way it was written... there isn't really a continuous plot, it's written in "moments" which are kind of like little interviews... but as we read it during callbacks I started to really like the format and see how powerful it was. So.... hopin' for the best. 15 of the 20 today were girls, so that's a good deal of competition for me... I get to learn tomorrow after school when she posts a list... again, super, super, super, super SUPER SUPER EXTREMELY NERVOUS!

Sorry I missed Random Week, but I had to study for my finals. I think I did pretty well on them. I got a 85 on my International Studies exam, and I think I did pretty well on my applied calc, life, and bio exams.

And yeah, it's great to be back home. I mean my home. I mean my house. I mean the physical place where I live. Not that I don't like you guys, but... GAH.

Wait...what? No school because of Snow? Ha! Where I live, even if we got 5 feet of snow, we wouldn't get a day off. (We have really good snow-plows around here) The only time we get a "Snow day" is when the tempature (with/without windchill) drops below Zero. [Meaning that, the people who walk to school could get frostbite.]

The only thing I was excited about with TRON was the soundtrack, which I've already bought. I'm a huge fan of Daft Punk, so it was a given. I may see the movie.

Hi! Sorry about all those forum errors today. It was a side effect of the process that should hopefully fix the problems we've been having on and off with the site going down for different people. That crashed table error that kept taking the forums down today at least should be fixed now.

Tron was cool. I predicted pretty much the whole plot fives minutes into it, but it was entertaining and the IMax + 3D was pretty awesome.

My brother's graduation was today. Of course, he's still got four years of chiropractic school to go so it's not like he's done yet, but he did get his Bachelors. Not much else is going on. There's a few days left on my Phoenix vacation and I'm still waiting to find out if I'll be moving here or Japan next month. Or maybe I should just go to Japan on vacation even if I don't get the job. Though that'd be a little expensive...

So, yesterday after school they posted the cast list for The Laramie Project. I basically spent all day stressing over it. There were 15 girls at callbacks yesterday, and 8 girls were gonna make it. So, after AP US, literally booked it from my class to the autitorium to check the list and I saw it was there and I was like "AHHHHH" and I ran up to it and then I saw names and I was like "AHHHH" and then of all names there I saw MY NAME and I was like "YESSSS!" and I did a little jump for joy and YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!

First rehearsal is next Tuesday :D

Kind of disappointed in myself for another matter, though. I misread the assignment schedule for my hockey games to ref, and, because of that, I will be unable to attend our Chrismas Pageant this year. The past two years, it has been snowed out and I was so looking forward to it this year. I was gonna be Artiban, the 4th wise man... I was him like 4 years ago, I believe, but he's my favorite. When I was a kid, I couldn't wait 'til I got older so I could be Artiban, or any wise man :P Ah well... guess I'll just have to wait another year.

I found $20 on the ground a few weeks ago, and I finally found out what I'd do with it. I went to the nearby shelter for victims of domestic violence, and donated every penny. Now I'm here in my study just looking for tabs to play on the guitar. Good day, so far! A bit boring, but I'm having a great Christmas break so far on the first day. Tron, eh? Good movie or not? I should give it a try sometime!
