Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
I read the first two Twilight books and got too bored to continue. I don't get bored haflway through a series. I can't think of another example where I didn't read more than one book in a series, and then not finish it.
So there you go.
Just saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at a nearby theatre and it was SOOOOO GOOOOOOD! The theatre closed down over a year ago because they ran out of budget (and I cried, I was sooo sad) and then it RE-OPENED and I danced with joy and this is their first show for their new season and they did FANTASTIC. It was HILARIOUS... even though I've listened to the songs a million times, I haven't seen the show in like 9 or so years, and I'd forgotten how brilliant the show is. I was so wonderfully glad we went to see it.
SO band camp is next week AWESOME.

Hey! I don't necessarily hate Twilight (an ex a couple years ago made me read the whole thing), it's just a really poorly built story. It's like someone took a random vampire fanfic off the internet and gave it a publishing license.
And Saber, that's awesome! Be very careful though, I'm an extreme alt-aholic (I make lots of new characters just because it's fun) and can lose myself for hours while I make new guys in D&D, Anima, and all the rest
I bought a tarot deck! My friend from Ontario took my fortune using hers and it was creepily accurate (she used the past-present-future spread which apparently is the common one). It's all awesome looking and made of good quality cards!

Goedemorgen! As of yesterday afternoon Doodleshark now has his Ontario beginner's license! And it only took me... eleven months after I turned 16. Better late than never, I guess... But the point is that I can now drive! Excitement!

Hi! Having some computer problems today. Fortunately, it's nothing too serious, just some glitches with my media player library. Also, it seems I'm going to Steamboat Spring (a mountain town a couple hours from here) for part of next week with my parents. Not entirely sure what the point is, since I'll still have to spend most of the time working on my computer, but I guess I can take a break to hike or swim here and there. My internet access should not be affected.

Hah! I had gone to private school my entire life. Ninth grade was my first time ever. Is it different? Yeah, kind of. But it's a lot easier, trust me. They pretty much assume everyone is a moron, so if you're not, you'll breeze through. Biggest difference though was that you actually got to choose your friends. Private schools were smaller, so you were pretty much stuck with the people there no matter what. In public school, you don't have to get along with everyone. You can find people that actually have similar interests.Winters Rage wrote:Hi!

You know, like how I found Colly.
In other news... yay 12 hour shift! Ok, 11 and a half, but still. I opened, so I was there at 5:30, and Rich had apparently scheduled one less person than he thought he did for later in the day so... I stayed until 5 to cover for it. Fun...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! I'm in Steamboat Springs with my parents. They're here to hike and stuff. I'm here to keep working on my textbook, and maybe get a little hiking and swimming in here and there. I also have some kinda cool news, but I'm going to wait a few days until everything is official before I announce it.

Hey.
Pshhhh, been public schooled all my life, is not too bad. Just gotta find a good crowd and stay away from the bad ones. Survival skills!
Sooooooo today I found the Ancient Language from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn as a font... I quickly downloaded it and have it now so that I can use it in MS Word/Paint/etc. And, of course, now that that I figured out how to download fonts, I had to get more! Wasted about an hour of my life downloading fonts.... but now I have a bunch of really cool ones and my menus and windows and etc. are currently set to use the font they use in Paper Mario because I like that font and GAH ONCE I START SOMETHING, BE IT EVEN FONTS, I GET ADDICTED.
So now my computer makes Legend of Zelda sound effects when it does stuff, has Legend of Zelda cursors, and Paper Mario font.... should change the cursors to be FE, or something....
AND today we (my dad and I) found an AWESOME store that sells all sorts of D&D stuff and we bought pretty little figurines because they were pretty and I have a weakness for awesome stuff like that and they had so many but we bought so few but I bought my own set of dice that is awesome and black and red with gold letters and this sentence is way past the length of run-on!
BAND CAMP STARTS TOMORRROW WHUT WHUT

Hi! The air conditioning in this hotel room is definately a bit too high. But, seeing as it's turned off at the moment, there's nothing else I can really do about that. Maybe I'll take a break from writing and sneak off to the hot tub later...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi!
The first day of school was today. It was great, though not amazing. Sadly, two of my friends have changed a lot since school ended 3 months ago, and they don't seem to care much about me anymore. But the good news is, I got to see plenty of my new friends and some of them changed actually for the better. My classes are awesome so far, with the exception of my one AP course which will take a lot out of me. Meh, hopefully I'll get by the year through them. If anybody has experience with AP classes, though, advice would be very appreciated. Other than that, my sprite comic has been delayed in production due to my lack of zest... What I need to do is find some sort of inspiration, and hopefully reading some more sprite comics will build up my motivation.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
MH, what AP class is it?
SO first day of band camp was today... and the band director pulled aside me, my two friends (both in brass, both assistant drum majors, both juniors-to-be) and another junior in brass (AKA, all the returning brass members). I figured that he was gonna talk to us about how our section doubled (IT'S TRUE WE HAVE 10 BRASS MEMBERS THIS YEAR 2 NEW TRUMPETS AND 4 NEW TROMBONES OMG IT'S CRAZY), but then he mentioned how he wanted to have 3 assistant drum majors (like last year and the year before, and preceding years, or so I figure), and he had been thinking about the 3rd, and then he looked at me and my not-assistant-drum-major-friend and was like "I wanted to make one of you the assitant drum major and the other section leader, and it was a flip of the coin to decide, but then I realized we needed a female demographic, so... Saber, you're the 3rd assistant drum major."
So, basically, I'm an assistant drum major now. Awesome. I get to run warm ups and buy the present for our director at the end of the year and basically have no other powers... and put it on my resume. SCORE.
And, all assitant drum majors are juniors (which is really, really weird... they're almost always seniors) AND in brass.... brass is kind of a winner, like always. Ha. (Yes, that was directed at you, woodwinds of PV :P )
GOD I'M GONNA BE A JUNIOR EW UPPERCLASSMEN

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Congrats, Saber!
So you need zest, huh Metal? I recommend lemon zest. It's a little expensive, but goes great in muffins and cakes.
My dad got in a biking accident yesterday thanks to a combination of a rather dumb person who wouldn't get out of his way and a mix up as to which break was which. He's pretty banged up but fortunately it doesn't seem to be anything too serious.
Since I have a bunch of spending money for the first time in a while, I decided to pick up an itunes Japan card can get some MP3s, something I did once before. It's been a while though, so I kinda forgot how annoying it could be. For starters, I'm not a fan of Apple in general but Amazon Japan unfortunately doesn't have a MP3 store. First off, their search engine (while better than many) could use a bit of work. Though I did (finally) find MeiQ, which I hadn't been able to last time. Some song and artist names turn up a zillion unrelated results though. Lot of songs I couldn't find though. A few might be because of the search engine, but most are Sony's fault. See, Sony has its own Japanese MP3 store (Mora) so everything produced by Sony Music (which is quite a lot) isn't available in itunes. I'd get a card for Sony's store, except I can't find anywhere online that sells them. Then, of course, there's the hassle of getting the music out of itunes (which I don't use) and into my Windows Media Player library. Problem is, itunes Japan still uses DRM on most songs so I can't just convert them to MP3, I need to burn them to a disc and then rip the disc into a new format. I was hoping to save a CD and fake the whole thing, but despite having two programs that can give me virtual DVD drives, I can't since they can't make virtual writer drives. Oh well, at least I got some good music like the new Haruhi themes and the first ending theme to Gundam Seed...
