Small PKMN

Post by Pikachu127 »

I'm not joking. So many PKMN are small, and I'm not talking about Pichu. I'm talkin' POWERFUL PKMN. Salamence? Pretty short. Groudon? Same height as Arbok. DISTURBING.

Also, keep in mind that Salamence is on all fours, is the same height as the player character, but weighs over 200lbs. If not that tall, its still massive.
While Arbok and Groudon are the same height (which I actually didn't notice before), I'd assume that this is only if Arbok is stretched up to its tallest. Also, 11 feet is still really tall...

According to the Pokedex, Salamence has a mass of 226lbs... the same as an adult male human. I don't know about you, but that's is not nearly as much as I would expect from a big-ass frickin' dragon.

... Does everybody hate me or what?! '_- Metagross is about 5' 3'', but it's half a ton. So, this topic was a misnomer. The PKMN aren't SMALL, they're just short. :-(

No one hates you, but that doesn't mean we all have to agree with your either.

For an animal, five or six feet tall isn't short by any means. When you think about it, there's only a handful of animals that tend to be taller than an adult human so the fact that most pokémon aren't huge shouldn't be surprising. As for Salamenace, keep in mind that flying animals tend to have hollow bones in order to reduce their weight and make it easier for them to fly. I suspect Salamenace is similar.

Keep in mind, I didn't say you have to agree with me... But I do agree with you (2nd part)...

Small and powerful pokemon? Many. Small and legendary, also around...
For example:
-Mew: pretty small, but also a legendary.
-Celebi: same reason as mew.
-Jirachi: same as the first two.
-Shaymin: Do I really need to say it?
(I wonder if there will be a small legendary for the 5th generation....hmmm)

But also remeber, "There can also be power in cuteness." (trust me, it is very easy to paralyze people these days by showing them a cute pokemon... <.< )
Examples:
-Pichu
-Cleffa
-Togepi
-Igglybuff
-Lotad
-Eevee
-Ditto?....yep.

And I could go on....but I'd have a pretty long list then....

Short pokemon that are powerful...also, many of them. (I'd rather not make a list though)

Two things; One, there is a "Mew" class legendary, dunno what it's called...

Two, this topic was intended to be about, ah, final evolutions/"large" legendaries... But I do agree with you. There IS power in small PKMN.

Pokemon such as Linoone and Furret are made of epic cuteness, but if you know what to teach it and EV it correctly, it can sweep an entire team of heavy but not that strong Pokemon.

However, I, my dear sir, did not, and I dearly thank Metalheadz of informing me of this. This thread, contrary to your beliefs, isn't just about you.
