...It doesn't have limbs visible because its not using them, they wouldn't do it much good in the ocean...
Nyandimar slapped himself in the head and said something to the effect of, "D'oh." A world of shapeshifters, he had forgotten where he was for a minute. Magic in this world must have found an outlet in the biologies of the species here, since there was an apparent lack of magic-users to dispel it in the typical ways. Without removing his hand from his forehead, he elaborated on his previous outcry:
"Sharks where I come from don't even have lungs- Moving on! What do we plan to do with the food-web wrecker?"

Like several of the others, Vegier opted to walk. It wasn't that he wanted to, especially since the heat would become unbearable later in the day, but he had no experience riding animals. He didn't want to admit it out loud, but the thought of riding another creature absolutely terrified him.
The Arc stopped short as soon as the group had reached the ocean, staring at the ripples caused by the shark as it splashed back into the water.
"Well, uh..." He cleared this rather dry throat. "Are these 'sharks', as you call them, really a cause for an alarm? Maybe the one yesterday was out of the ordinary, but this one seems to just be feeding. I don't think there's any reason to act yet."
He paused for a few seconds before tentatively continuing, with uncertainty in his voice, "Unless it's abnormal for sharks to eat...?"
It seemed like a ridiculous idea, but in a world so different from his own, Vegier wasn't quite ready to dismiss any explanations so readily.

They don't have...oh! So they only stay in the water where you're from. Sira said. Oh, that explains a lot, then.

Sira turned her head to face Vegier. No, its not weird for them to eat, but it is odd for them to be this close to shore. Usually they stay much farther out. Sorry, I should have been clearer when I spoke. I was talking to myself at first, but I should have specified.

She looked out at the ocean. The last of the ripples from the shark's splash had faded. As for what we're going to do about it, I plan to get a closer look. I want to see if there is more than just one out there.

Despite her lack of riding ability, Eskay decided to take the camel. There was no way she was walking through the desert again, and, anyway, how hard to could riding be?

Upon reaching their destination, Eskay was delighted to see the water. Water made things not as dreadfully hot. Eskay would have run over to the water and spashed herself with the stuff had not the shark leapt from the water, startling her. Awww... stupid shark... way to ruin the water for me... she thought sadly.

A pair of icy eyes turned to Haruki. "So..." began the owner of the eyes slowly, "We know less about this Mr. Bridganign than we did before."

"Er, well, that's not entierly what I said," Haruki said, un-characteristically shuffling his feet around. Those eyes always unnerved him, especially when they were directed at him.

"You said," continued the man, his voice still cool and calm, "That you have not gained much information on this man. By now, I suspect we should know more. Therefore, your efforts have been wasteful, and we now know less than we should, or less than we did." Absent-mindedly, he fingered the red crystals on his scepter. "You better step up your game, Haruki." A pause. "You are dismissed. Get out of my sight."

Haruki wasted no time in exiting the room. The man with the scepter reached into a drawer and pulled out a small bowl. He filled it with a pitcher of water, then reached into another drawer and took our a small vial. From it, he took a white hair. Delacately, he dropped it into the basin. It shimmered as it created ripples in the water, and then vanished. The surface of the water changed, and now depicted a scene. A young elf girl with long brown hair and a white coat came into view. She was standing beside a camel, in a desert and nearby her there were several other figures that were difficult to make out...

Marina was silent after Seraphina and the other one disappeared, she followed everyone to the beach and sad nothing as the shark leaped on land and back into the water. Then she smelled a new scent, it wasn't coming from the sea or from her fellow knights, she couldn't quite figure out where it came from. The scent was like a burning, acrid scent, as she sniffed the air, she became alarmed and her animal instincts were screaming danger. Something is coming, something bad is coming.

Haddix continued along with everyone.

"Um... I can't swim.... I'm good with bath's and shallow ater, but my species.... Uh....I'll just make sand castles or something..."

(When do we go to a new world? I have a basic storyline worked out for mine when we do go there, but I don't mind where we go.)

(Well, seeing as Sira seems to have just started her story arc plot thing, and considering how roleplay activity is pretty low on average, I'd say we'll still be in her world for a while. Is that a problem?)

Azriel rolled his eyes at Haddix. "Look, Vegier and I have wings. Marina's element is fire. Obviously not everyone here is well-suited for aquatic survival, but you don't see us complaining." He got off his camel. "So, Sira, any clue on how to get a closer look at those...shark things? I wouldn't want to overburden Marley by having him act as transport for all of us, and I would prefer not having to swim there." He shuddered. "In any case, I don't think swimming with those shark things would be safe." After a moment, he added, "And I'm not good at swimming, either."

[Siranae]

Sira turned to Azriel and gave a small smile. Of course, I wouldn't want to endanger any of you. But you shouldn't worry. Sharks, though extremely powerful, are not aggressive my nature. Normally, they only attack when provoked. I personally have swam with them. Well, not without reason, it is kind of inevitable when you're spearfishing. She raised her spear a little, then let it fall to the ground to draw attention to it. So I'd be willing to swim out there myself. I'm a fast swimmer and I'm more than sure I could evade one should it strike. She looked out over the water again, thinking. Though, I suppose it would be better if I wasn't out there alone, in case there are any of these strangely acting sharks out there. Azriel, could you, or maybe a few other winged Saber Knights, watch out from above?

"Guess I can't really help out then," Vegier muttered gloomily, feeling somewhat useless. "I still don't know how to get my wings back." He glanced around, half-hoping that some of the other wingless Saber Knights didn't know how to swim as well. He quickly squashed the feeling down; this was no time to feel pity for himself.
"Well, assuming you and a couple of the others do head out there," he continued in what he hoped was a stronger voice, "what can the rest of us do?"

"I may be able to help you there," Nyandimar chimed in. "I may not be the best arcane caster, but I sure as heck can get some of us out over the water." He pulled out a vial of silvery liquid and tapped one side with the index finger of the hand he was holding with. "Couldn't hurt to have an extra few pair of eyes over the water, could it?"

Marina Changed into griffin form when Sira asked about help from the winged members of the team.
I'll be happy to help Sira.She then looked at Nyandimar and glared when he mentioned he was an arcane caster.
No thanks, my stepmother uses arcane magic, as a result, I was used as were-bait and ended up with a dual curse.

"My condolences, but I am not your step-mother," Nyandimar replied. "And I sure hope it stays that way. I look terrible in a dress. Besides, you have wings of your own, some of us don't and can't outswim a shark." He glanced at Vegier.

That would be great, Nyandimar. Sira said. But before she could say anything else Marina turned into a griffin right before her eyes. Sira jumped back, shocked by Marina's sudden transformation. But soon she composed herself.

Sira smiled and gave a small huff of amusement, then quickly stopped herself. The joke was funny, but she didn't want to make Marina feel bad.

She addressed Marina. I'm sorry for jumping back. I just didn't know you could shapeshift. Well, I remember you saying you could, but...I wasn't sure what exactly you shapeshifted into. She then began to remove the articles of clothing she wouldn't need, leaving her with a rashguard and shorts of the same material (as well as the bathing suit underneath). But yes, it would be great if you could accompany me from the air. The rest of you can wait here, if that's alright. The sharks here don't normally attack unprovoked, but with what's been going on I wouldn't want to take the chance with any of you.

She walked to the shoreline, close enough so that the water rushed over her feet. She looked down and gave a wide smile.
It never gets old.
She turned to the group, and held up her right hand. Well, see ya. And with that, she ran and dove into the water. As she swam, her feet remained close together, and soon merged into a gray tail. She swam towards where the shark had been seen, keeping the back of her head above the water so Nyandimar, Marina, and anyone else willing to accompany them, could follow her.

Sini'Kai hadn't managed to get any sleep the night before, and this fact combined with the heat were beginning to make him a bit delirious. He would never admit this of course, especially not to his new friend. Had Kai been feeling less exhausted he may have recollected that cats normally don't float in the air, speak in Indian accents or have heads several times larger than their body, but in his current euphoric state Kai was willing to give gravity the benefit of the doubt. Needless to say, Kai was less than pleased when his new feline companion began to drift out over the ocean. With the power of magic, it was a simple matter to freeze the water under his own feet, allowing him to simply walk out into the sea.

Sira was in the water, Marina was a griffin, and Sini'kai was half dream walking out onto the lake, there was no time to lose.
Nyandimar uncorked the vial, and tipped it until one drop fell out. "Tensri Volatilis Orbis." The drop flattened out into a 3 foot diameter dish, hovering 3 feet above the ground. Grinning like a mad man, he hopped on like a skateboard, and started hovering around a bit.
"Anyone else want one, I got a couple left."
