Now for your advice. Overall, you're pretty good at coming up with good ideas for retorts. However, some of them (your last two in particular) don't quite work with the insult, so you need to read the insults a little more carefully and make sure that your retort is worded correctly. You also need to watch your grammar, as you almost failed one retort because of it. When it comes to insults, yours aren't all that creative but they work and aren't overly wordy, which is good.

Hmm... You counter it and boast about your fighting skills, which is good. The only real problem is that trees can't move, therefor can't really take tap dancing lessons so the first part doesn't entirely work.

"My name is feared on every sea!"

"Is that why all the fish are scared of you? They fear pathetic sword skills."

The first part isn't bad, but would work better if you reworded it to something like, "Yeah, but only by the fish!" The second sentence is rather unneccessary and why would anyone fear pathetic sword skills anyway?

"How can you hope to win with a rusty old sword like that?"

[Metalheadz]

"At least it's more than capable of shattering your poor excuse for a stick."

That one is pretty good. You don't really need the "at least" part, but it works pretty well regardless.
