Azriel tapped a finger against the arm of his chair, thinking. "Is it possible to communicate with the sharks?" he asked. "I would suggest traveling to their home area and discussing these developments with them. The way you described them, Sira, they seem to be victims of an outside force rather than aggressors. Perhaps if we found out what's happening to them, we could help...I don't know. Return the situation to normal." He nodded at Epifanio and Nyandimar. "Always nice to meet other fellow Saber Knights. I'm Azriel, from Asgard."

"Let me go! I have rights!"

"I do not choose to invoke that right."
"That means shut up!"

It had not been a good day for Sini'Kai. Good days don't usually begin with getting snatched by a blue dragon. That had been the strange bit: it had been a dragon that had kidnapped him. These days everyone and their mother knew that the Blue Dragonflight had a grudge against spellcasters, but they typically employed magehunters: spellcasters that had joined the Blue Dragonflight in exchange for power, or half-dragon half-humanoid dragonspawn. Kai had dealt with magehunters before, but the Malygos only sent his own Dragons after mages in exceptional cases. The dragon had taken him to the island of Coldarra, where a pair of dragonspawn now half-led, half-dragged Kai through the frozen caves underneath The Nexus.

Presently they entered a large chamber, and Sini'Kai was shoved forward by his captors. Kai then looked up into the eyes of Malygos the Spellweaver and made a terrified, strangled noise from somewhere in the back of his throat.

"Greetings, Dawnwalker"

Kai's mind raced. Having a Dragons Aspect adress you by name was either a very, very good thing, or a very, very bad thing.

"I expect you are wondering why you're here," rumbled Malygos, "The answer lies in front of you."

Kai looked down. Placed on the floor in front of him was an ornate scepter. Terror turned to confusion.

"Allow me to explain, Dawnwalker. Around the various dimensions, each diety has their own Saber Knight, in order to keep peace throughout the universe or some rubbish. Personally, I couldn't care less about the fate of any world but this one, but each of the other Dragonflights has named their champion, and I will not be shown up by the other Aspects in this time of war!" Malygos nodded towards the sceptre. "This is the Mage Sceptre, Sabre of the Blue Dragonflight and one of the world's most powerful magical artifacts. You must take it," the Aspect paused dramatically, "And become a Saber Knight!"

"But why me?!?" Kai blurted out, "Why couldn't you send one of your own brood, or one of your bloody mage hunters? Why bother kidnapping me?"

"The Mage Sceptre can only be weilded by a... Specific type of person. You were... requested, Dawnwalker."

Sini'Kai stared at the Sceptre as if it would give him some kind of hideous disease as soon as he picked it up. "And if I refuse?"

Malygos chuckled evilly. "I'll let you work that out yourself."

Kai nodded miserably, and began to solemnly regret taking wizardry as a career option. Taking a deep breath, he reached out and gripped the Sceptre.

The world dropped out around Sini'Kai.

((There. Now hopefully Kai should end up in the same area currently occupied by everyone else.))

Marina looked at the two knights before her, ever since she arrived in the desert, she'd been drifting in and out of of focus.
I'm Marina, I came from a world called Fanterra, and I am the saber knight of Fire, under Epona. I'm also a weregriffin, so if either of you betray us, I'll rip you to shreds. she then heard something and looked upward, seeing what seemed to be a figure falling. What is that?

((Aura, I believe that our characters are inside Sira's house, so unless Sini'Kai (I'm assuming that's who you were referring to in your last post) is falling from her ceiling...))
“Ra? Apollo?” Vegier muttered to himself, looking even more confused. He had never even heard of this god. Then again, considering how his race viewed the gods as simply myths, that wasn’t too surprising. He shook his head slightly, as if to clear his thoughts, before clearing his throat and leaning toward Marina.
“Marina, I don’t think it would hurt to show a bit of respect,” he suggested in a low tone, as if he didn’t want to be overheard. “I don’t think threatening others is a good way to gain allies, and judging from what we faced before, it seems that we’ll need all the help we can get.” He sat back once more, inclining his head toward Epifanio and Nyandimar in a small bow.
“Uh…I’m Vegier, Arc from Riviera,” he announced, following Azriel and Marina’s lead. “Forgive me for cutting these introductions short, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea what we’re doing here. Judging by how many of us there are, I would guess that this world’s problems are rather serious.” He fell silent for a brief moment, then hastily added, “Of course, I could be wrong. I’m new to this whole Saber Knight job.”

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Azriel," Nyandimar greeted.

"And it's a pleasure meeting you too, Marina." Nyandimar turned to a saber knight sitting next to him. "Is she always this pleasant?"

"You have a point, Vegier," Nyandimar repied. "Although, Th'Guy didn't send me here. In fact I haven't heard from him in a little while."

sorry Vegier, Marina said, Its just that seeing that shark corpse brought back some pretty painful memories and it put me on edge a bit.

Sira gave a nod toward Vegier with a faint smile. She tried to appear welcoming, but it was clear that she was worried.It's nice to meet a friend of Azriel's, Vegier. She said. And that's actually what I was worrying about. What you said. I really hope my world isn't in great danger, but with the presence of such a number of Saber Knights, I just don't know. She looked out towards the door. I just hope that whatever it is, it'll be over by the Life Festival.

"Life Festival?" Nyandimar asked. "You'll have to excuse me, I'm not from around these parts. What and when is this Life Festival?"

Sira looked over at Nyandimar. Oh! Yes, sorry. The Life Festival, also known as Waffa El-Nil, is a two-week long celebration, starting August 15th, for the flooding of the Nile. The river expands over its usual banks and extends into our towns and cities, its waters carrying silt that, when the water receedes, is left behind and leaves the area richly fertilized for growing crops. Here, the Nile is our lifeline. We owe our very existence to it. So during the Life Festival, we celebrate the river and all the gifts it has bestowed on us.
She looked up at the ceiling. As you may have noticed, almost all of the buildings in town have two stories. During the flooding period, we live solely in our second floors. Due to our aquatic forms, we can still go about our daily lives. Sudden realization took Sira by surprise, and she stopped for a second. When she continued, she had an almost apologetic look on her face. Um, that might be a problem for you all, though.

Azriel glanced around at their group of Saber Knights. An Olympian, a were-griffin, a Grim Angel, a wingless Arc, an elf, and three outwardly human-looking beings. None of which looked like they secretly had underwater survival abilities. "Yes," he agreed. "I'd say we'd have quite the problem. I should think we wouldn't all fit on your upper floors." He paused. "Well, if the trouble does clear up before then, we may well find ourselves whisked off to another dimension instead of trying to find a solution, so I wouldn't worry about that right now. We should do something about those shark things, however. So far, it seems to be a good idea to investigate oddities in the dimensions we land in. Usually something turns up that tells us what to do next." He nodded at Epifanio. "Unless you have other ideas? I take it you're as familiar with this dimension as Sira here is. Perhaps more so, due to being a senior Saber Knight."

Sini'Kai lay in the sand with a splitting headache, a brutal reminder of how staring at the space between dimensions can be bad for your health as well as your sanity. He opened his eyes and immediately regretted it as the blazing sunlight sent fresh waves of pain through his skull.

Kai groaned and stood up. As he did he noticed that his hand was still involuntarily gripping the Mage Sceptre. The blood elf glared at the artifact before dropping it in the sand and kicking it a few times. This didn't really accomplish anything, but it did make him feel slightly better.

Sini'Kai took in his surroundings, noticing that he had entered the universe a few yards from the banks of a rapidly flowing river. Kai picked up the sceptre again. If he tossed the sceptre in the river, with any luck the current would carry it out into the ocean and he would never see the bloody thing again-

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Kai looked sideways at the flickering astral projection of Malygos the Spellweaver and laughed. "Oh, really? What exactly is stopping me, Mr. currently-in-another-dimension?"

"Your saber radiates magic," The Aspect rumbled. "The majority of worlds do not contain sources of magic such as the Sunwell on Azeroth. If the sceptre leaves your possesion, then you will succumb to your species' addiction to magic and eventually die." The image of Malygos gave a final, wicked grin as it faded into nothingness.

Sini'Kai gazed despairingly at the patch of sand where the astral projection had stood. "Should've guessed something like that would keep me from tossing the bloody thing." He muttered to himself, sitting down beside the river. His mind wandered back to the details of his capture; had Malygos ordered his dragons to snatch some unlucky blood elf at random? Kai shook his head; no, no, that didn't make sense because Malygos had adressed him by name. Kai was so deep in thought that he didn't notice the crocodile directly behind him.

While the other knights were debating what to do, Marina looked out the window of the building and saw Epona motioning to her.Marina, Knowing this would somehow be importanat went outside while Azriel was talking to chat with her goddess.
What is it Epona? Marina asked.
"Oh, I just wanted you to come out of the house so I csan show you that." she said pointin in the direction of the River, Marina looked and saw a figure with a crocodile behind them. Marina, cursing under her breath, transformed into her griffin form and used her wings and flew toward the river and get to the being before the crocodile could kill him. When she got there she scroared and kicked the beast into the water.

The crocodile shuffled its feet uncertainly. This was the first time it or any crocodile on this world had encountered any form of magical energy. The signals from the creature's tiny brain were interfering with its natural instinct to bite anything that moved.

Sini'Kai turned his head to stare at the crocodile. "Well? What's your problem, then?"

The crocodile growled, but its heart wasn't in it. Confused by the energy radiating off of the Mage Sceptre, it backed away slowly.

"That's what I thought." Kai's head swiveled back to the river. There was something about deserts that he found calming. Probably the sense of isolation or the sound of nothing but the wind whipping over the dunes and something flying towards him-

Kai's ear twitched. He jumped to his feet and turned around just in time to see a blur of feathers collide with the crocodile.

“A…flood?” Vegier didn’t look too pleased with the thought, especially since he had never even learned how to swim. “That’s not happening anytime soon, is it?” He tried his best not too sound too pleading, but the thought of being surrounded by water made his rather nervous. As he spoke, he was suddenly aware that the group was missing a member.
“Where did Marina go?” the Arc asked, blinking in confusion.
