Gah! The week I start to get busy I have to post a comic! I’m so sorry everyone.
I’ve been having the same problem as Poik, as in I’m having difficulty finding comics that aren’t already up here, or are appropriate for everyone.
But, I did find a comic that I’m sure a few of you have seen before (some strips have been posted in the Random Image Fight thread) but it has yet to be discussed. This comic is Awkward Zombie by Katie Tiedrich.
The comic consists of mostly one shot gags revolving around videogames, such asSuper Smash Bros, Pokemon, and World of Warcraft. There are a few related comics strung here and there, and recurring characters (such as Marth and Roy). The drawing style is simplistic and cartoony, and relies much on facial expressions, which are very…exaggerated at times.
A few comics also will go into the life of the author herself, surviving college, video game dilemmas, etc.
Some strips that I liked are this, this, and this.

Re: Awkward Zombie
Actually, Awkward Zombie did get done in the club a while back, but the member list has changed a bit since then so there's no real harm in a repeat.
Anyway, I like AZ a lot. It's one of the funnier video game commentary type comics I've read and the art is generally pretty good. Favorite strips include most of the Pokémon ones like these two.

...
...How did I miss that?!
I guess that's what I get for posting so late (agh, now that makes this a double offense). Really, it was right there, at the bottom of the page!
I'm really sorry guys.

Re: Awkward Zombie
That said, I haven't been following it lately, so I'll probably use this opportunity to read the newer comics and post again later. But those were my thoughts the first time around anyway.Silver wrote:Ah, Awkward Zombie... Hail-NekoYasha fequently makes it to the front page of DeviantART, so I've seen most of these comic before. I don't know much about the Legend of Zelda, though, so I haven't read through the whole archive... But I certainly appreciate the Pokemon-based comics.
I've always like the art style. It's... well, ok, it's weird, but that doesn't make it bad.
Aside from the Pokemon comics, I've always been rather fond of this one. Poor Luigi always gets the short end of the stick.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Awkward Zombie
Loooooove this comic, been keeping up with it for quite some time.
Some of my favorites, though, would have to be this, this, and also today's comic was very nice as well.
Aweeeesome comic of win.

Re: Awkward Zombie
Thoughts after reading newer pages:
THIS. Just...this. It's... it's so true... As soon as HG/SS was out, I looked forward to class every Tuesday and Friday because I know a guy that has two Pokewalkers and has a class at the same time as me... It's surprising how many people I see walking around with them. Coincidentally, I can't wait for Otakon just because I know a ton of people will have them...
