Sorry it's early, but Wednesday's are bad for me. As in one 8-10AM lab to another 5-7 PM lab with four classes in between, and meetings until 11 o'clock bad.
Anyway, this week I'm plugging a newish, foreign webcomic, Life Ain't No Pony Farm. Just 'cause... Also because most of my other remaining comics are either really strange, or unfit for this club for one reason or another.
So, it's an autobiography about a webcomic artist who lives in an apartment with a talking elephant named Ngume, a talking shroom named El Fungo, and a pony named Buttercup. Completely based on fact, in case you doubted that.
Style: Random. It's not a plot driven webcomic, but it does have its story arcs. For instance, the haircut arc, which started here, is probably the longest arc in the strip thus far.
Art: Yep. There's art.
Other stuff: Mild adult themes.
As for favorites, I'm going to have to say this one because it reminds me of my friends. And this is how most people I know work. This set of guest strips explains what is wrong with the main character. Also, you'd think he'd notice this sooner...
Her impression of PETA is rather accurate.

Re: Life Ain't No Pony Farm
This comic seems to be one of those I can read when I have nothing better to do.
I like it.

Re: Life Ain't No Pony Farm
I can't say that the basic setup (main character living with weird talking animals) is very unique, but Pony Farm at least manages to avoid most of the horrible cliches that usually turn up in those types of comics. For example, none of the animals was a crazy violent sciopath, that was a nice change. I mean seriously, just cause Sluggy Freelance has Bunbun doesn't mean that every comic with cute talking animals has to make one of them super violent. The art wasn't bad either and the occasional real life based strips were fairly clever. That said though, I probably won't keep reading Pony Farm. There wasn't anything I really disliked about it, I just personally never found it all that funny either. And, without a deep plot or extremely likable characters (the characters aren't bad, just not amazing either), there really wasn't much to hook me.
Re: Life Ain't No Pony Farm
I think it's a pretty cute, lighthearted comic. While there's not a deep storyline to grab you, it's a good way to spend some time when you're bored, like Aura said. The clean and simple art style fits the mood of the comic perfectly.
Wonder where she got the idea to have a toadstool, elephant, and pony as her roommates? By the way, the fact that the pony is an experienced criminal cracks me up. He just looks so cute in that burglar outfit.

Don't have the time to write much of a response, but, overall, I liked it. Yeah, it's not an entirely original setup, but it does avoid most of the cliches that have come about, which is a nice thing. Some translation errors here and there, but overall it's fine, and the art is very good.
