Marluxia, you can be as mad as you want, but please either don't swear on the forums or at least asterisk out the appropriate words. There is a word filter on the forums but, as you have to enter all the banned words manually and I only spent about five minutes setting it up, it's not very robust.

I've got no problems with the cold or snow outside, I just wish my parents would keep it a bit warmer inside. I mean seriously, they've got the upstairs thermostat set to 68... I didn't even set my air conditioner in Phoenix anywhere near that low... I've been bumping it up to the low 70's, but it's got some complicated scheduling thing so I have to change it like every other day. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to set it all back before they return. May dad really doesn't like people messing with it. But he's not the one who's been sitting here day after day working on stuff.
Yeah I got crazy but I seriously am thinking about moving to Arizona(relatives there) so I don't have to ever see another snowflake again.

Hey.

USA women's hockey team lost :( *shakes fist at Canadians* We'll get you next time!

God. Freakin' Nor'Easter here... why couldn't it be 10 degrees colder? Then this would all be glorious snow and not the craziest rainstorm in a long time! Man, 2 or 3 years ago we had such bad rain there was FLOODING and we got days off of school... currently, there are flash flood warnings, and I'm pretty sure the river not too far from my house is gonna overflow... the rain is going SIDEWAYS. I was out there for 10 seconds after hockey. I got soaked. It has been raining for two days straight... and it's still pouring! And wicked windy! WHERE IS THE FREKAIN' SNOW!? This is February! Not April! CRAZY NEW ENGLAND WEATHER! The weather is messed up this year... I hope we don't have school tomorrow. I was talking to like 5 people online and they dropped off one by one as they lost power... I hope I'm not next *gulp* That wind out there is craaaaaaaazy.... it's really freakin' me out. And the rain. Pouring. River's gonna overflow... flooding! AAAAH!

Well, guess I'll just have to see how things are tomorrow.... we didn't get a single freakin' snow day this year, seniors are pissed, maybe we'll get a flood day. The weather's been crazy enough.

So, yeah, next hockey playoff game for my team... againt a team who hasn't lost a game in about 3 years. Yeah. Us winning? Chances are slim. But it'd be awesome if we do! :D

Hi! The congregation Purim party is tomorrow so I'll be spending a good chunk of the day cooking in preperation. First off, I have to make challah (a braided bread) since we always have it on Saturdays and my mom isn't around to make it. Then, it's time to make hamantaschen (triangle shaped cookies with some sort of filling that are a traditional Purim food). I have a tendency to experiment and create a different (often rather unique) type of hamantachen each year instead of just going with the usual jelly filled ones. This year, I'm adapting shu (or chu, depending who you ask), which can best be described as Japanese cream puffs.

Fair warning Marluxia, there are parts of Arizona that get quite a lot of snow. Sure Phoenix stays fairly warm throughout the winter, but Flagstaff is only two hours away and its got a ski resort.

Hey.

Here was the beginning of my day:

6:30 Dad: "WAKE UP SABER!!!!"
Me: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH SCHOOL!"

6:35 Me: "Grumble grumble.... *tumbles out of bed*... grumble grumble"

6:40 Me: "Oh shoot, spirit day today, gotta get ready. Spent 20 minutes gathering stuff last night when I could've been sleeping!"

6:45 Me: "Shoot where are the stupid gloves... need to get facepaint on for the spirit day! And where's my Monopoly money?!"

6:50 Mom (on the phone): "Uh huh... ooooh, I didn't know that! Oh, okay! *hangs up* SABER!"
Me: "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"
Mom: "NO SCHOOL!"
Me: "WTF!?!? Why the hell are they cancelling so late!?!!?!?! It's freakin' 6:50!!! WHAT THE HECK!? THEY CANCELED SCHOOL!?!? THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO TELL US AROUND 5:30, NOT THIS LATE I COULD HAVE BEEN SLEEPING INSTEAD I'M SEARCHING FOR STUPID GLOVES AGGGGGGHHH!"

And then I tried to go back to sleep, but nothing happened. That was my lovely morning. If anyone cares, the spirit day was cops and robbers, and I was actually looking forward to it, for once. Most spirit days I can't do anything for because I don't own the right stuff to dress up with, but this time I did, so I was excited. Also, it was going to be like a game: the uperclassmen were the cops and sophomores and freshies were robbers. The upperclassmen were going to try and tag us during the day... I would have been caught last block 'cos one of the juniors on the hockey team is in my gym class.

But, yeah, 4 schools in town apparently don't have power. Along with half my friends. I do, though :D Bunch of trees knocked over by wind, the nearby river is wicked overflowed... town's a mess.

And, we're playing St. Mary's tomorrow for the next tournament game. We're screwed. They haven't lost a single game in 3 years.
May the Triforce be with you.

Heso! Me and Colly were out at Sonic (stupid lousy paychecks, that's all I can afford), minding our own nerdy business, when I heard this song playing on "Sonic Radio". And yes, we did start singing along. Because we just win like that.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Sorry to hear that Saber, I remember the spirit day stuff in my high school was usually pretty entertaining - not that I participated all that often

That's pretty awesome Silver. My roommate loves to rickroll his girlfriend and I at any time he gets - he has it on his mp3 player for when we're on the bus, on his computer when we're at home, and he even learned how to play it on the guitar specifically so he can stand outside the washroom and play it while we can't get him :drop: It's all in good fun but now it's really stuck in my head.

Nine Inch Nails makes everything better. Rick Astley is no exception.

Tomorrow is the men's Olympic hockey finals, and it's Canada vs USA; a rematch of the '02 Olympic final. Also, Canada now leads all countries at the 2010 Olympic Games in gold medals. Jubilations!

Hi! It's Purim! Ok, actually Purim is tomorrow but my congregation is celebrating it today since we're all meeting today anyway. My shu style Hamantaschen turned out pretty well as did the overly large challah I made (that thing has to be at least 10" x 18" x 6"). It filled the entire baking pan when I took it out of the oven. I'll probably be eating left over challah all week... Anyway, we may also give my Whose Line style Purim "play" a try. My expectations are rather low (I don't have a lot of confidence in the adlibbing abilities of most of the potential cast members), but you know never. I'm probably going to have someone videoing it (for my mom, mostly) and, in the off chance that it actually turns out good, I might throw it on Youtube.

Also, a reminder. King of the Forms starts Monday! Hopefully that'll get things a bit more active around here.

I just found out that baseball and softball were dropped from the Summer Olympics, and that both golf and rugby sevens will be part of the programme starting in 2016. Thoughts?

Hi! Seriously? If you ask me, that doesn't make much sense. I mean, why drop them? I don't have any particular complaint against adding rugby, but golf? Doesn't it have enough tournaments already?

Golf? Seriously? I'm not really sure that's the best idea. It's going to be really long, and really boring. As for rugby, I definitely see that as a good thing It's lot more exciting than American football.

Hey. Did you know that today has been the first full week of school for me since the beginning of 2010? Between snow, ice, holidays, and college visits, I'm surprised I made up all my work. I'm really hoping that it won't be the same at UTK, or any college I go to. Also, I have a quick question for Josiah. When I write my thesis for my Masters(if I even have to), can I put a satirical edge on it, a la Swift?

Hi! To answer Gar's question... That entirely depends on your thesis comittee (the professors that review and approve your thesis). Mine, for example, didn't mind that I put a snarky comment about the APA in the acknowledgements section. But an entire satirical thesis could be tough to get approved. That and it would probably be a pain in the neck to write in APA. Actually, there's no probably there. EVERYTHING is a pain in the neck to write in APA.

Bwa??!?! Fwababaha?!?!? WHAT?!?!?!?! NO SOFTBALL!?!?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!?!!?

But.... grr... ah... no! They can't do that!!! WHY ARE THEY DOING THAT?! That was like... my favorite thing to watch in the summer olympics!! It's my favorite sport! Why would they do that!?

Well... this irritates me. I've got nothing against golf and rugby, I like 'em both, actually, but IF THEY TAKE AWAY MY SOFTBALL THEY SHALL BE PUNISHED!

And, I had to go dress shoping yesterday. For a dress. To wear to a Bat Mitzvah. The last time I wore a dress was more like a robe... princess outfit for Halloween to see everyone's funny reactions to me in a dress. Time before that... 7th grade, for a play. Time before that.... probably some time in 5th grade. So, the last time I've worn a dress for any formal occasion... yeah... been at least 5 years. Whoo... I hate dresses because I looks like a fool in zhem~ Oh well, though...

Answering Saber Knights question, apparently baseball was dropped because the Olympic Committee were upset that the MLB wouldn't suspend its season for the Olympic Games, and softball was dropped because they were tired of it being dominated by the Americans. Another factor was that the unpredictable length of baseball and softball games could screw up the scheduling. I'll agree that golf is as boring as watching paint dry, but I guess it had an edge in that it has been an Olympic sport before, and honestly, what else would they put in there? Rugby will be awesome, and I'm not at all sad to see baseball and softball go since personally I find them almost as boring as golf. Actually, now that I think about it, I would like to see lacrosse at the Olympics, but I guess it would have the same problem in that it would be dominated by one or two teams (specifically USA and Canada).

Anyways, regarding Olympic news, the MEN'S HOCKEY FINALS WILL BE THIS AFTERNOON!!!!!!17!1 And even better, it's Canada vs USA, a rematch of Salt Lake City! Aplodey excitement!

And has anyone else noticed that Gar still has "Chicago for 2016" in his signature even though the 2016 Olympics have already been awarded to Rio de Janeiro?

Hi! Today is a day of getting assorted random tasks done and playing video games. As such, it's a good day.

In other news...I don't have much other news, other than that King of the Forums starts tomorrow.
