Re: Azuri
Zlli moved a little bit further and decided to put her hand down from her necklace. Her tail calmed down to where it was just moving slowly from side to side. She feared that they might attack, but decided they might not. She also had her sword in her pouch that could be pulled out in a second, and she knew how to fight. The ring inside there too was her armor, but she didn't want to use it for her travels. She also wanted to study other beings and how they lived.
Yet it also came to the fact that her race really wanted to kill everything and anyone in their way, but with demons being killed more and more, and the more powerful ones gone, there seemed to be no hope left. She would do her research, and go underground in the ocean to live her last days there. She was getting old, just because her skin was starting to fall off on her tail.
That was one sign that she was close to death. She hated to die, but guess that is what happens.
"Sorry, but please put your weapons away, I mean no harm to you if you mean no harm to me. Books have said demons are killers of death and destroy so many lives, creatures, and growth. Yet that was a long time ago. Now we seek information, and an understanding of ourselfs. Well, some of them still cling to the old ways and hate to leave that behind. While the rest of us want to see and experience things differently. I'll fight by your side if you wish, yet in my old age, I don't know when I will die."
Zlli took a hold of her tail and put it into the sunlight. As it hit the light, it didn't shine like the rest of her body did. It was dull in color and was turning gray. "I have just time to see this world for a short time, which means at least 100 years before I die. My strength is weak, but my powers are off the scales and are deadly as ever. Yet my sight and hearing isn't what it used to be."
She took a few seconds before she took a few more steps towards the group.

"Hmmm... you sound sincere. I'm not going to let my guard down though. The risk of death outweighs the need for decorum," Eclectric said neutrally.

Wodahny glanced at Gil and Elli, then looked at the half-demon. "Well, hopefully the tension's down. Zlli, you said your name was? Why don't you, ah..." She paused. "It'd be okay if she sat with us, right?" she asked the rest of the group. "Although I'd suggest keeping a bit of a distance from the angels. One of 'em looks on the verge of a heart attack."
"So she's friendly?" asked Kauka, already inching closer. "I can say hi?"
Wodahny facepalmed. "I suppose so." Kauka beamed and almost bounced up to Zlli, hand extended for a shake.
Iah remained perched on his rock, hands tucked back into his sleeves and quietly watching the others. "A hundred years is plenty," he told Zlli. "Some of us here won't be living that long. Enjoy what you have."
(Meh, not really the best of posts I can turn out, but I've got pretty much no idea what to do with anyone until Evrona comes back...)

((I'm really sorry I've had no time for this, guys... I really stink at getting stuff moving, and I have writer's block and stuff... plus, I just don't have the time to write out a post...
I'm sorry... for the sake of getting things moving along... I'm gonna suggest we skip ahead a bit. I'm trying to figure out a way for Gil to reconcile with Zilli and still be in character...
If no one objects, I'm probably gonna do a little "A few days later" thingamawhatsist soon...
Even so... gonna skip a bit of walking with Evrona and co....))
"Okay, so I believe they were thataway...." Evrona muttered under her breath. Suddenly, the stentch of smoke came to her. Well... if that doesn't smell like a demon, then I don't know what does, Evrona thought, slightly worried, but more curious than worried. As they continued back to where they had left the others, the smell increased until they finally reached the group, and, indeed! There was a... well, it looked like a girl, so Evrona supposed it to be, in truth, a half-demon.
With visibile surprise on her face, Evrona turned over to Gilantias and raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised you two aren't fighting right now. You're a pretty bad angel."
"Evrona? ...The half-demon means us no harm, I see no need for uncessecary bloodshed," Gil said with visible effort. "However, I make no promises about being polite to her."
"Well, whatever, have your issues and whatnot, I really don't give a damn." Evrona shrugged. "We got what we needed. But... you! Half-demon. You plan on hanging out with us. I'd say 'the more the merrier', but I'd be lying. I guess if you've got no where better to be, having someone to take pretty-boy over there down a notch and get his nose out of the air would be dandy. If you don't want to tag along, I guess we'll let you go off in peace... probably."

Re: Azuri
Gareth had a look that was as cold as death. One could only wonder what was going through his mind until he spoke. "A demon has haunted me... for far too long. An incubus raped and murdered my wife, then killed my daughter. It lingered only long enough for me to discover who, no... what had done this. It vanished before my eyes as I attacked it. I don't want to hear any crap about demons changing, because they don't change. You're not the one, but you may be his sister. It is only my oath of honor that has stayed my blade. Leave now; don't let me see you again or I will be the last thing you ever see."
Re: Azuri
Zlli look at the person that spoke. "The only people that can do that are the oldest of the demons. I have no family but a son and he isn't able to transform into an Incubus. On guessing how much time I have, I could live for another 10 years or more. I just don't know when, but I don't want to be stuck in a cave all my life and not know what is out here. But like I said earlier, its only the demon that can transform into it and they have to be very old. And I can't remember how many can do that, but its not a lot. And it is with only the oldest ones that can. They are stuck to their old ways and don't care for life at all. I can't transform. I had no brothers while I grew up and my father died 400 years ago. I'm sorry for your lose, but you need to see what is in peoples hearts and forgive them for what they have done. I know it is hard. Yet if you want me to change form into my Black Undead Dragon, I will, but that requires more strength wasted."
Zlli stopped where she was at and put her hand into the pouch, she had to find the potion she drinked once a day to keep her vision and hearing from getting worse. After she found it, she lifted it up to her mouth and dranked it. "It's a potion to keep my hearing and sight from getting worse than what they are. I have to drink it once a day too."
"And what are you?" She asked as the female came bouncing up to her.

"Respect my wishes and leave me be. Go learn somewhere else. I slew the Dragon of Destruction. I vanquished an Ifrit, a Falak, Harpies... many things considerably stronger than you could be. Don't attempt to make threats. Leave and you can spend the last years of your life learning." Gareth leaned his head left and right, making his neck crackle.

Re: Azuri
"I'm a mermaid," Kauka informed Zlli. "This is my first time away from home, and I'm already meeting so many people! It's wonderful." She smiled and, since the half-demon hadn't moved to do so, reached out carefully and shook her free hand. "Nice to meet you, Miss Zlli."
Meanwhile, Wodahny seemed on the verge of punching something. She suppressed the urge, slowly. Then she walked over to Gareth. "Look here," she demanded, moving her cloak away from her right arm. Using her left hand, she tugged her right sleeve up, revealing a wrapped stump. "I was originally right-handed. I was well on my way to becoming a knight. That's considered a fairly high rank where I come from. Then we got into a battle with a group of demons, and one of them took my arm off, right here, above the elbow." She glared at the other human. "Can you imagine how hard it was relearning to do everything with my left hand? Everything, from when I was born up 'til that moment on the battlefield. And it was because of a demon. But I'm not blaming her for it."
Kauka watched them, orange eyes wide. She bit her lower lip, distressed. "Oh, please, no threats," she pleaded. "Miss Zlli already said she doesn't want to fight."
Iah sighed and slid down from his rock, his wings making gentle rustling sounds. "I do not completely disagree with Gareth," he admitted. "It is a cruel world we are living in, and members of every race have committed atrocities at some time or another. It is good to be on the guard. However," he continued, glancing briefly at Gareth, "barring everything else, as strongly as you may feel against the newest addition to the clearing, it is not your wishes she has to abide by. Evrona is currently the leader of this group, so she has the final say on who remains and who leaves." He paused and shrugged. "Although from her actions up to this point, she would not appear to mind if everyone left."
(Kauka's using "Miss" because she apparently missed the fact that Zlli has a son. Or maybe the difference between Ms. and Mrs. totally flies over her head and she addresses anyone female that looks youthful with "Miss." Point being, it's not a mistake that she's using that word.)

"Silence. She's not my leader. Just looking at a demon makes auld lang syne flash before my eyes and torment me. It is for mercy that I haven't killed this demon. If I have to hang around a demon, I will kill her for me and my family.
(Btw, Auld lang syne translates to roughly 'long long ago.' Gareth made a reference to a song called 'Auld Lang Syne.')

Re: Azuri
(I would be posting this in the OOC thread, but seeing as you apparently didn't realize it exists, I post here instead.
1. We do have an OOC thread for a reason, and that's where you should have posted your profile, not here.
2. Your character's abilities don't specify whether she's using Aircrafting, magic, or both. That's kinda important.
3. I believe you meant "kimono" rather than "kemono." "Kimono" is an article of clothing. "Kemono" means wild beast. I'm sure your character doesn't want to be wearing a wild beast.
I'll leave off my other points 'cause that's just me being nitpicky over random details that won't matter to anyone. From now on, please check the OOC thread for posts regarding joining a roleplay after it's already started.)
Kauka was becoming visibly upset. She sidled between Zlli and Gareth, as though trying to protect her new 'friend.' "I don't know why you're being so mean," she told Gareth, somewhat accusingly. "You were all ready to accept her until just a moment ago."
Iah raised an eyebrow. "Very well. If your reaction to demons--half-demons, even--is that strong, I suggest you leave. No one else is as vehemently against her presence. Even my fellow angel Gilantias has acquiesced to not harm her, and the animosity between our races has been long and bitter. I regret what you have had to go through, and if you ever come across the culprit demon, may your vengeance be swift. However, Zlli has no connection to the crime aside from happening to be of the same race. That is no reason to condemn her to death." Wodahny offered no further comment, leaning instead against a tree and glowering. From her expression, her thoughts had turned inward and she wasn't quite aware of the conversation anymore.
(I feel kind of bad, since all three of my characters seem to be arguing against Gareth...that wasn't really intentional. :/ Their personal philosophies just happen to point in the same direction in this instance.)

Re: Azuri
"I can see that the travelers no longer require my protection." Gareth walked over to his horse and mounted it. "Hya, ha ah!" Gareth bellowed as he spurred his steed, triggering it to rear up and then gallop off. It wore off... That man told me the spell would never wear off... I remember it now.
Re: Azuri
And so he left... Mano'kai thought as she turned, watching Gareth ride away. Hm...rude man. She then stepped out from behind Evrona, in order to get a better look at the half-demon that had caused him so much discomfort. She wasn't afraid of the demon, she couldn't understand Gareth's logic. It would be like hating all mermaids after one kills your family. Or humans or dwarves. Getting confused, she turned her mind back towards the half-demon in front of her. Mano'kai casually shrugged her shoulders, an unconcerned look on her face. I wouldn't mind if you decided to stay. she said. She had never seen a half-demon before, or even a whole one. Traveling with one she believed would be an interesting experience.

"Well, no one needs your chivalry anyway!" Evrona called after the retreating figure of Gareth. "Half demon lady, I dunno what you wanna do, but I really don't give a damn, honestly. I'm going to bed."
"I think I'll go to sleep... over here... and sleep with one eye open," Gilantias said, muttering the last comment under his breath. Arielli follwed close behind, not wanting to be seperated from her protector amongst all of these frightening people.
((Alright... if no one minds, my next post will skip ahead a few days.))

(/revive)
Wodahny watched Gareth leave, lips pursed. She muttered a few highly unflattering comments under her breath, most of them dealing with his mule-headed obstinacy, then sat down at the base of the tree she was standing near. The mercenary wrapped herself in her cloak, drew her knees up to her chest, and glared into the distance for several minutes. After a while, she nodded off, her chin tucked against her body as she slept.
Kauka looked around her, clearly not sure what to do. She glanced at Iah hopefully. The angel gazed back, then spread his wings. With a few flaps, he vanished from sight among the canopy. Rustling noises came from the leaves above as his movements disturbed them, then silence fell once more. Kauka, left alone on the ground, sighed. She clambered onto the rock Iah had been sitting on and curled up on it, lying on her side.
