Yeah, I've seen the commercials and stuff for it. Astro Boy was a cool anime for one of the older and original animes, but I'm a bit nervous about the upcoming movie.
I say it will be the ONLY GOOD anime-made movie ever. It doesn't look too shabby by looking at it. But I know it will be better than DB: Evolution.

What do you mean by the only anime made movie ever? There's tons of animated anime movies and quite a lot of live action anime based movies as well (DB Evolution, Death Note, and Nana, just to name a few).

Lot of the animated ones are pretty good and some of the live action aren't bad either. Might be he only good American made anime movie though, seeing as it only has DB Evolution to compete against, it could be pretty bad and still win.

It looks like they changed the story and the characters a little, but otherwise it looks like it might be good.

I saw it on the weekend, finally got around to seeing it. ^_^
Anyway, since I'm not sure on what the original story was, so I can't say how much was changed. But I was still very good, All the characters I new (Tenma, Astro and "Dr Elefun) were pretty good character-wise.
I ended up spending half the movie trying to work out who Hameggs voice actor was, turned out that he voice actor is Nathan Lane, also knows as Timon from the Lion King... I can't believe I had to look it up to work it out considering I'm obsessed with the Lion King -_-.
Also it completely Pawns Dragonball Evolution.
But yeah, I really did enjoy it, so did Fiancee, he said it was better then her thought it'd be.

Love that movie.
Anyway, truth be told, all I've seen of Astro Boy was a few occasional commercials back when Toonami was still around. But it seems like it might be good, looks well made.
