Only a couple weeks till New Super Mario Brothers Wii! That and Assassin's Creed 2, which I probably wouldn't have preordered if it weren't for the bonus areas you can only get by preordering at Gamestop and getting the special edition. And AC Bloodlines, which I probably wouldn't have preordered if I wasn't preordering AC 2, and Bloodlines is the one that's supposed to fill in the story gaps between the two.

(lol wut double post) I'm in a bit of a bind right now. I have enough EB Games certificates left over from the holidays to get two games... Bioshock 2 is a must-have, but for the second game I'm split between Borderlands, Mass Effect 2, and Resident Evil 5. Any assistance in reaching a decision would be appreciated.

Sorry, none of those three interest me that much. Though I can point out that RE5 is going to be getting an upgraded rerelease in the not too distant future, so you may want to hold off on it for now.
I'm looking forward to Lunar Silver Star Harmony, Pokémon Heart Gold, Ace Attorney Miles Edgeworth, and, of course, Final Fantasy XIII.

My friend from back in Ontario and I (our friends called us the clones, because her and I are almost literally identical - look similar, act the same, like the same things, everything is the same - it's really nice 
) are planning on each getting one of Heart Gold and Soul Silver and battling wirelessly, should be fun!

I just noticed that Heart Gold, Lunar, Final Fantasy XIII, and God of War III all come out within a week or so of each other. 
That's gonna be one expensive week for me. Not to mention that FFXIII is probably all I'll be playing at that point so there's no telling when I'll get to the others.

So I complained about MangaGamer's price for Higurashi 1-4, but I stopped by to check release dates for Kai.
Meakashi is going to come out by the end of February, but JUST Meakashi. That's right, €20 for EACH book.
I'm going to wait for Matsuribayashi to come out before I buy anything of Kai. At least then, it'd include all four (hopefully, since that's how the Japanese version worked).

I just noticed that and I'm not happy about it either. Personally, I can live with the price for Higurashi 1-4. Yeah it's high...but only for the US. From what I know about game prices in Europe, it's really not that bad. And, since they're a European company and aren't particularily targeting a US audience (if they were, they'd have prices listed in dollars too), I'll let that slide. But yeah, €20 per arc is just ridiculous. I'm seriously hoping they'll listen to the complaints and rethink that.

Well what do you know, the new Sonic game actually looks promising. Here's hoping they don't screw it up.
And while on the subject of retro game revivals... Mega Man 10 lets you play as Protoman as part of the story, which is awesome. I just hope they give Mega Man his slide and Mega Buster (charged shot) back.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 comes out next month, and this time it's for the PC as well. I've already played the PS3 demo, and from what I've experienced it's much better than the first game.
