If you want to work on drawing human proportions right, it helps a lot to look at yourself in a mirror to figure out all the proportions. A mirror large enough to see your entire body is best, since then you can relate the size of parts of the body to the entire drawing. For example, I draw torsos to be about three times the length of the head, and I draw legs to be as long from hip to knee as arms are from shoulder to wrist. It's easier to get people to look "right" once you thrash out the formulas of how long or wide everything should be. Getting reference images of people wearing skintight clothing is also helpful, especially when figuring out how to draw the opposite gender.

Oh that reminds me what helps me sometimes when I'm doing that is looking at the picture carefully like if the hand is resting near someone's leg then use the leg to measure how long the arm should be.

Here's my latest drawing. Sorry about the low resolution. The scanner wouldn't scan the drawing properly because it's too shiny... so I had to take a picture. The low camera resolution sucks. >< This is a colored pencil drawing. By the way, that horse is black, not brown. That's how much the resolution ruined it. ><

It's been a while since I've posted something here. Here's my first attempt at drawing something with digital media.

I drew my Mabinogi character. It's not my best drawing ever, but it captures me pretty well. I'm not used to drawing anime-style stuff so yeah. I've done a new light experiment in this drawing, which I believe has turned out successful.

I really like the shading you did on the armor its really good. The sword looks cool as well, and you did well on the anime eyes they look very big and friendly.

It's been a while since I've posted any art. I'm working on a very big piece right now, but also thinking of drawing a manga. For the manga I'm making character concepts. Here's Enjeru (uncolored)
