The deal with it, White_samurai, is that he is a man without eyes plural. He has one eye so he doesn't have eyes. He didn't take the plums plural because he only took one plumb, and he didn't leave the plums plural because he only left one plum.

Since no one's posted a riddle in a while, I'll post one.
There are 7 cats, 6 mice, 5 dogs, 4 pigs, 3 horses, 2 cows, and 1 human in a room. The humans trades places with the cats. The mice trade places with the dogs. The horses trade places with the pigs. How many of each are in the room now?

Yeah, I agree with SK. There was only ever one room, so changing positions in a single room doesn't do anything to the number count.
