Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
...Disney buying Marvel seems similar to 4Kids buying One Piece. What is the Punisher going to use now? The power of friendship?
Right, so I forgot to mention, the video game store nearby has games all the way back to NES! I can't find Timesplitters Future Perfect which I'm pissed about losing, but it's still an epic store.

Hi! Personally, I doubt Disney will change Marvel much if at all. I mean, Disney already owns a ton of other things (ABC, Pixar, ESPN, some movie company whose name I can't remember, and more) and they haven't really changed them.

I'll ask my friend for ya, he got one 2 years ago when we went on this florida trip - that, and a whip. He then decided it was necessary to go all Indiana Jones on Elmo. Very strange, very humorous stuff! One thing we learned from that though: Tickle Me Elmo is nigh impossible to break.shauni wrote:Cha!
Anyone know which is the tickle me emlo that rolls around on the floor laughing?
Odd question, I know, but i want to get it for a gift for someone, but I want the one that falls over laughing

The main problem I foresee with Disney buying Marvel is not with Disney changing Marvel overmuch: If they're smart, they'll just keep the same staff and simply reap the profits.
No, the main problem will be the Disney business model. There are some very good comics which, unfortunatley, aren't quite as popular (X-Factor, one of my absolute favorites, is one of these). I'm worried that Disney will pressure Marvel to cancel the series that aren't faring as well as others, so that eventually Marvel will only put out Avengers, X-Men, and Spider Man comics (a slight exaggeration, but you understand, I think.).

Disney bought Marvel?? Oh ****.... First Disney screws up Super Sentai by making their own version of the "Power Rangers" ugh... And now their about to spoil Iron Man, my favorite superhero.Stevenson wrote:The main problem I foresee with Disney buying Marvel is not with Disney changing Marvel overmuch: If they're smart, they'll just keep the same staff and simply reap the profits.

Hey Silver, I've been thinking. Are you ever going to continue PVTSOIMIVCTWIMTIHMIITROTSOSHTJTAWABTEHPFA A.K.A. PV!TSOMWARSSHJTTULNNNO A.K.A. PV:TSOIM A.K.A. The Pebble Version Soap Opera? It was spectaculrarly funny and I'd love it if you continued it. However, with college and that girl friend and all... Maybe you could get some free time?
For those new members, The soap opera premiered way before you all joined. Like, in February last year. It's absurdly hilarious and you can find it in both the art thread and the extra page in the main Pebble Version site.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I...actually don't have a favorite superhero, never having gotten much into American comics/TV series. I mean, I liked watching the Roadrunner outwit the coyote and make him hurt himself, but that was about it. I was more of a book person those days (Harry Potter, Animorphs, etc.). Then when I was 12 or 13, I discovered the Internet and roleplaying. Some time after ninth grade, I went fanatic over manga. So...I really don't have a favorite superhero. I did like the live action version of X-Men, though. In particular, Wolverine (just 'cause claws and crazy healing powers is an awesome combination).
Konbanwa. For some strange reason, moths are deciding our pantry is a great place to hang out at; I just found four of them in there. Mom killed two and chased the others out. We're wondering why they keep going there. She's worried something might've spawned in some unnoticed spot and is attracting them to it. I'm hoping that's not the case, 'cause that'd be kinda...gross.

Heso! My cat is having kittens! A different cat than the one that had kittens in April. Yeah... so we ended up keeping three of those four... Bringing our cat-total up to 8. And now there are more kittens. Which is... bad. Need to find homes for them. Need to get both mothers fixed.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Heso!
Well I'm not really into marvel these day. But Batman will always be my fave (I know he's DC not marvel). I know Superman is my older sisters fave, and my younger sister loves Spiderman.
Anyways, I'm still job hunting. It looks like I'm gonna start looking further away from where I live. Meh, I'll manage somehow.
