Re: Azuri
Waking up, Zlli was excited to get on with the new day. But this wasn't like other days where she just sit at home, waiting and watching and reading a book or two in the process for action or just the idea that she was getting older day after day. She wasn't happy with the idea that she was old in the first place or just that the idea of being alone for a long time was pointless. After her husband, Ezzix died 600 years earlier and having 2 children that they had, Zlli never found love again. After that, she trained as hard as she could to be strong and willing to stand up for what is right.
After some time of just thinking, she decided to just go up from the dark cave she was in from a few nights ago and travel. Just that she had to wait at night to do it or if it was cloudy. She didn't want to be blown up by the sunlight if it would do that. But why take the chance. Zlli never took chances except for in battle. "Battle, hmmm, I miss it. Oh well, time to have a walk or see if the sun is out." She thought as she took a few steps from where she laid her bed. The cold leaves beneath her were put there beside a large rock that was her bed. "Yet I could sleep better with just the rock."
Her eyes were still not wide awake and when she saw that there was no sunlight on the ground infront of her, she decided that it was time to move on and hope she could find another cave before the sun came up. Going back to the made bed, Zlli grabbed her things and left the safety of the cave. As she stepped out of the cave, Zlli noticed that the clouds here were hiding the sun and she hope it would still hid it till it went down. She had to be careful, very careful to not stir any trouble or problems. Zlli knew that she was just a few miles from an angel city and any disturbance will get angels out here. She didn't like them, but if they attacked first, she will do whatever it took to get out of there alive, even if someone had to die.

Re: Azuri
((I'm introducing a new character. She's gonna help the plotline move a tad. ))
A lone figure tramped through the forest. She was scowling, an expression her face always seemed to show. "Stupid bugs," she said as she irritably flicked away a fly. "I hate this place." It wasn't the first time she'd said it, nor would it be the last.
Minutes ticked by, and Evrona, for that was the woman's name, seemed to only get more and more irritated. "Grrrr...." she growled to herself, losing patience. "He said it'd be around here...." She rounded another bend to see a small shrine. To what god it was dedicated to, Evrona had no idea for the place was in ruins. Hope flickered in her eyes breifly, but then was replaced by her usual glare. She quickened her stide and headed over to examine the ruins.
Evrona laid a hand on one of the fallen stones. "Hmm... cut about... 400 years ago," she mused to herself. She lifted the rather large stone with ease, then tossed it carelessly to the side. After leaning her staff against a tree, she turned back to the rubble. "Let's see if we can find anything here..." With those words, Evrona raised one arm, causing a stone to lift into the air. She continued in this manner for quite some time, overturning large rocks with ease.
An hour later...
"Gah! NOTHING!" she shouted furiously, causing several frightened birds to leave their trees. Angrily, she kicked a tree, resulitng in her hopping around and clutching her throbbing foot. "Ow, ow, OW! Damn tree!" Scowling, as per the norm, she angrily snatched her staff and continued walking through the woods, now hobbling slightly.
(( Name: Evrona
Gender: Female
Age: ???
Species: ???
Abilities: EarthCrafting. The extent of her abilites are unkown, however.
Appearance: Evrona appears to be in her late 20's, but her real age ie unknown. She has long, extremly untidy, jet-black hair that falls about halfway down her back. Her clothes are very dirty, and she wears a tattered brown cloak that has seen a large amount of wear. Her eyes are a dark green, so dark they are nearly black. Her ears are slightly pointed, not quite pointed enough to be Elven or Angellic, yet they aren't human. She always carries her staff with her that, when the center is twisted, reveals two blades at either end.
Personality: Evrona is quite short-tempered, and she's generally a grumpy person. Has a habit of talking to herself.

Re: Azuri
Gareth rode through the forest alone on his large, white horse. He wore his suit of armor, though his helm was fastened to the side of his saddle, rather than on his head. A strong, sturdy gladius was sheathed and fastened on the side of his saddle, though placed on the front left side where he could easily reach and draw it. His poleaxe was slung over his shoulder. He then heard the noise Evrona made. What on Azuri? "Heya!" Gareth spurred his horse to a slow gallop and rode in Evrona's direction.

"Heya!"
"FIEND!" shouted Evrona, spinning around alarmingly fast, her staff in ready position. She lowered her guard almost instantly after seeing who it was that caused the noise. "Oh, it's just a human," she said, speaking the world human as if it were some swear word.
"What do you want?" she barked.

Gareth rode up and then halted his horse in front of her. "I heard shouting. However, you don't seem to be harmed. Might I ask... what was the cause of your shout, and what brings you to a remote place, such as this?"

"Your chivalry is wasted. I'm fine, and I don't want you around," Evrona said, glaring. "You have no buisness asking about my life. Might I ask what you my good sir are doing here yourself?"

"I have no quarrel with you. If you must know, I'm here because I heard you shriek, if that was you shrieking. If I'd not heard that, I'd be still riding forth." Gareth's horse took a step back. "It'd be wise to be more courteous. You'd gain allies, rather than alienating whomsoever you come across. I know what you are; I can tell by your ears what you are. There are many out there who'd see your kind destroyed. I strongly recommend that you keep attention off yourself and keep those ears covered, if you're going to be so rude."

Re: Azuri
"Really now?" Evrona looked amused. "What am I then? A half-elf? A half-angel? Just a half-breed, then? Are we all the same to you? You can't judge someone by their ears alone."

Re: Azuri
"You seem to be jumping to conclusions yourself. Whatever you are, I know that... because you were born different, men will fear you, and try to drive you away." Gareth then seemed troubled by something, as though this was a sensitive subject. "I apologize. I didn't come here with an intention of stirring up ill will, nor do I have such an intention now."

Re: Azuri
Evrona grunted. "Hm. You seem to not be a racist pig like every other human I've run into," she said to the man. "And, as I'm sure you are aware, no one is safe any more. People kill each other for no other crime than being of a different race these days. Even you, a human, could easily be in danger. Why, I'm sure an elf or demon would relish the chance to lop your head off. Then again, I'm sure most humans would enjoy vanquishing a demon or murdering a merperson," she said bitterly. "The world has gone mad, if you ask me. Absolutely barking mad."

Re: Azuri
"... it has. I've seen first hand this evil. I've tried to guide men against committing such atrocities, yet... the story is so often the same. At first, the intent in their hearts is merciful and true, and without prejudice... but when the time comes for them to be tested they break down, succumb to lunacy and bigotry. This is why I no longer bear a crest on my armor, and this is why I've been riding alone." Gareth dismounted his horse and walked closer to Evrona. "You're unlike others, as well. Forgive me for not introducing myself. I'm Gareth... and who might you be?"

Re: Azuri
Evrona merely crossed her arms and glared at Gareth for several seconds. Finally, she spoke. "I'm Evrona." She paused uncertainly. Keeping a conversation was not one of her strong points. Generally, most people would get irritated with her and leave after a minute or so of talking. Either that or she herself would get irritated and just walk away.
"Look, I need to be continuing. I've got stuff to do, places to be." Which wasn't entierly the truth. Since the temple she had just visited proved fruitless, that was her last lead. There was one rumor she'd heard, but she wanted to get more proof before setting out on yet another trek. "If you really want to, you can tag along, but no being obnoxious or I swear I'll knock you out cold."

"Honored to meet you, Evrona." Gareth kneeled and held her hand gently, and kissed it. He then stood up and smiled. "Wherever you need to go, it would be a swifter and easier journey on my horse. What is it you seek?"

Re: Azuri
Seeing no point in staying airborne when everyone else had left or landed, Iah folded his wings and followed Gil and Elli to the ground. Though he did not look directly at the female angel, he could tell she was terrified. That almost amused him. He wouldn't have thought anyone would've considered him terrifying. Casually, he began twirling a finger in the air, keeping his hand by his side to avoid attracting attention.
"Hmph." Wodahny glanced at all three angels, then looked Gil up and down, now that he was at a position where she could do so. "I do hope you have a way to either keep those things on your face, or manage without them," she pointed out after a few minutes of silent scrutiny, regarding his glasses. "It's very likely a serious opponent would consider smashing them to disable you." She snorted, not loudly. "I'm Wodahny. Merc, if you please. Pleased to make your acquaintance, Gilanthas, Arielli." She paused as her eyes fell on Iah once more. "And who're you?"
The purple-clad angel gazed back at her, both hands now tucked into his robe sleeves. "Iah," was all he said.
"Of course that tells me everything I know," sighed the human. She then glanced back up at Gil. "Judging from the gust of wind you sent at me earlier, am I right in assuming you're at least a somewhat proficient mage? I can't do any magic myself. I'd hate to end up fighting you." She flashed him a grin, including Arielli and Iah in her glance. "I hope that, if we ever end up in the same conflict, that I'm on the same side."
At that moment, Iah let his arms fall to his sides once more and offered Elli a small, transparent rose, half open. It was tinted a very, very light blue, which wasn't quite visible when held against the sky. A single leaf extended from the thin stem. Despite its fragile appearance, it was quite solid. "Do you like flowers?" he asked. "If you like, you can have this one. I can always make more."
Wodahny was rather interested. "That's pretty," she admitted. "Looks just like glass. You keep a garden or something? When you're not doing household work or something?" Dunno what it was angels did on their free time. How old was this one, anyway? With angels, it was always hard to tell. Was she married?
"I'm sorry if you thought otherwise, but I'm male."
"...Eh?"
(Now adding my mermaid 'cause I think I really should get her in here somehow.)
A humming sound filtered through the trees to Evrona and Gareth. It was a rather upbeat tune, as though the hummer were content with everything in the world. Presently, a slender figure came into view from behind a particularly thick clump of trees, dressed in a black tube top and a long black skirt. Shell necklaces of various colors hung from her neck, and she had bracelets of the same designs around both wrists. She was, for whatever reason, not wearing any shoes.
"Ah, found someone, found someone," sang Kauka, practically waltzing to a spot within five feet of the two. She wobbled, hurriedly threw her arms out horizontally--in the process flinging much of her blue hair into the air behind her--and steadied herself. "Waaah, using these...leg things is harder than I thought." Then she waved, energetically. "Hi! Who are you guys? And what race? I've never met any other race face-to-face before, this is so exciting!" She spun around in a circle, not seeming to mind the twigs underfoot. "I'm Kauka! I'm a mermaid!" She beamed.
(I bet Evrona's going to hate the newest addition to their little group...)

Re: Azuri
Evrona couldn't help but blush slightly as Gareth kissed her hand. No one had been that kind to her in a long time. "I told you, your chivalry is wasted, I'm fine walking," Evrona snapped. She was about to continue when a girl bumbled into view. Instinctively, Evrona whipped her staff into a fighting position. When she saw that there was nothing to fear from the new arrival, she lowered her guard.
After Kauka introduced herself, Evrona's eye visibly twitched for a moment. She resisited the overpowering urge to whack the mermaid with her staff. "Grah. I'd rather if a monster had just walked in," Evrona said, shooting a glare at Kauka. "At least then I could kill it and be done with it. You'll be a nuisance for much longer.
--
"They're enchanted to stay put unless I move them, and they won't break," Gil explained with a smile. "Mage isn't the proper term, however. Sure, I do know magic, but the last feat I just preformed was AirCrafting. AirCrafter is the term you were looking for, I believe," he suggested. "I should hope that no confict ever comes across, but times are unsafe." At the word "conflict", Elli leet out a small squeak, but otherwise said nothing. Unfazed, Gilantias confinued. "You seem like a kind woman, and I'm sure you're a tough fighter. I'd hate to be against you."
"G-Gil," Arielli stammered, flying down beside him. "I-I think I heard something in the woods. C-can we... get out of here?"
