This "backwater forum" did manage to get 3 new members today,even if they are the leftovers of a popular site like yahoo360(no offence).The most new members I've ever seen other comics gain is 1 per day.

What I meant was that we don't have that many active members here and we don't get new members that often. But when we do get new members, we seem to get them in groups, like right now. As for the comic, I found it by an easily overlooked reference link about Torchic on Wikipedia. It's gone now, and I don't know how anyone else will find this webcomic unless they're looking on TWC. However, if we put this comic on TV Tropes notable web comic list, you're sure to get an increase of readers. Your comic does play with a fair number of tropes.

Hi! Yeah, Wikipedia has a group of editors that are determined to stamp out every reference to web comics they can find. Aside from TWC, Pebble Version is listed on some other comic lists (though not with voting) and is linked to by a decent amount of other comics. It also comes up fairly high on a lot of Google searchs. But a lot of new readers at this point probably discover it via word of mouth. If someone wants to try to add it to TV Tropes or another site they're welcome to, but I usually don't got out of my way to advertise PV (combination of time and the fact that most of the best advertising costs money).

I found PV at www.thewebcomiclist.com about a year ago when I was browsing the game-related comics.Back then I had pokemon ruby and thought pebble version sounded funny so I clicked its profile and here I am.It was really lucky as twcl has about 15000 webcomics listed.

I found the comic the same time I found Sonic and Pals.It was on a webcomic site called Scout Troop Alpha.

I can't remember where i found the comic, I think i clicked on a random "favorite comics" link another comic author had. But I can't be sure. I know it was a random linkie though, and it was a while after that befor I joined the forums. But I'm glad I did. ^_^

I also have no idea how I found out about Pebble Version. It was probably through Silver or Opal, though, since I hung out with them on Neopets. Which was essentially my introduction to the joys of Internet, to online games, to roleplaying, and--to a minor degree--to drawing in the anime/manga style.
...Geez I've come a far way since then.

Now that I think about it, PV was the first webcomic I ever read, and PVF has been the forum I stuck around on for the longest time (most other forums I joined, lurked for a few months, then vanished altogether).

There is only one other forum that could possibly claim the same thing. A roleplaying one created by Flora, where the only active members for the majority of its existence were me and Faustgy (if anyone still remembers them). Unfortunately Flora had a habit of switching forum hosts so there's a whole series of forums under the same name, most of them now nonexistent. Lovely. Due to the utter lack of activity, I tend to forget it even counts as a forum, plus I know everyone on it in real life. But my point in bringing up that whole thing was...I forget, actually. I think there was a point when I started typing all this, though. My brain + sleep deprivation = randomness. So I'll stop blabbing now and go to bed.

Yeah...forget how I found Pebble Version, but it was a few years ago. The only vauge idea of around what time it must have been is that I remember also checking out ROM, and it had very few comics (uh...that sentence made sense in my head). Like 10-ish. Not many. I subsequently forgot about it after reading the archive . One day, little over a year ago, I remember I wanted some webcomics to read, and I recalled Pebble Version as a comic that I had been reading a loong time ago. Googled it, tried to find where I had been in the archive (and failed, so I just went back to the beginning), and then subsequently read the ROM archive. For some reason, I decided to check out the forums, and then the rest is history.

Chaos introduced me to the comic. I read afew like it and then abit later read all the back comics up the current one. Did that for awhile and then decided to join the boards. Now you guys are stuck with me forever :)

I was going through TWC since I was currently in a "Sonic and Pals" faze (which I have sense grown out of), and then I came across Pebble Version and started reading the archives. 5 minutes later, it was 3 hours later and I had read the entire thing. Read for maybe a week more, than decided to check out the forum. And here I am.

Hmm, how I found PV...

I think I searched on google to see if it was a pokemon game, a while back. I was amazed something was called it.

Then read the archives, and joined the fora a while later. :P

It's a weird story how I found it. Kinda long too.

I remember someone told me Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were being made, so I wanted to see if it was true, and when the release date was. It was still TBA when I checked it. So, a little bored, I looked at the wikipedia pages for the older versions, like Blue. There was a section about glitches (Missingno, Glitch City, etc.). So I went to the main article for that. One of the reference links was to TRSRockin.com, a site with a lot of info on Pokemon glitches, fake games, and fake Pokemon sprites. So, I was trying to find a specific screenshot from Ruby/Sapphire to make a sprite, and typed something into Google. Maybe it was images, but I think I had kept it in Web. I saw Pebble Version near the top. Thinking it was a fake game I never heard of, I clicked on it and found the comic.

The rest is history...

...and while we're talking about finding PV... I found it when It had about 300 comics. I was obsessed with Ruby, and I looked for pokemon comics everywhere. (That includes Pokemon X. I'm so sorry, Josiah.) I read for a few months, and then checked the forums. =D
