Right. It's also a bit part of high school and middle school because of the process of identification and the fact that hormones are flying. Boy's identify themselves as boys and girls as girls and recognize that they are supposed to be attracted to members of the opposite sex. Because of a touch of immaturity, (that is socialized in, methinks) this is overgeneralized to only dating people of opposite sex.
And don't forget, when dating, an inexperienced or insecure person, which applies to all people at one time or another, may jump to conclusions very quickly and often accuse their significant other of cheating on them if they even associate with the other sex. Or at least that's what tends to happen in our school. Jealousy of imagined relationships (or even real ones) is a sign of a problem, and is usually a projection of insecurity or the accusers own lack of integrity, or it could just be attributed to the other person actually being sketchy, so to speak.
But this system of thought ignores the fact that opposite genders may, in fact, be just friends. And if one of you guys were blessed to not have to deal with it or similar... I would like to move to wherever that blessed place is. And Josiah, that's cheating.

I never had to deal with it... sure, I've been made fun of over this a bit, but certainly not in the way you guys were. Here's what you do: make a public show of being asexual. Swear on your life that you will never ever date anyone ever. Tell them that you're just not interested... and then they don't make fun of you for liking anyone because they think you're inhuman. And then, once that's completely sunk in, you change that and melt all their brains. It's especially fun if you wait a while before telling any of your friends. Then they catch you holding hands or something, and it's like...
"Wait, what's going on here?"
"Oh, yeah. We're going out."
"WHAAAT? Since when?!"
"Like two weeks ago."
"Why didn't you tell me?!"
"It's not like you asked."

Trust me. It's fun.

I was trying to use my laptop to bridge my xbox 360 for wireless internet, instead I managed to mess up my laptop and have it stop working. I had to uninstall Norton anti virus cos it was stopping me from doing a system restore, but even that didn't fix the problem. I looked into it and the problem had something to do with my IP addressing being in conflict so it could not access my wireless network. I spent two frustrating hours to have a worse of laptop than when I started.

I brought it into work this morning and my friend fix it in 10 mins...all he had to do was change my ip address from static to automatic...I still have to make sure it works at home and reinstall Norton, but I think I should be okay...

I feel bad for shouting at my Dad last night while I was upset, but he was annoying me on purpose.

Cheez and Saber, I know how you feel. My friends like to joke around that I'm a player or something because pretty much all my friends are girls. It's not because I'm specifically attracted to them (there are exceptions, but...), I just think they're more fun to hang around with than most guys. Also, I'm home now and my internet cable (not the 'net itself, just the Router -> CPU cable) isn't working. Being stuck on wireless when playing online games is tough.

Ok, being me, this is your typical SPG rant. Oh, and it's less a rant, more a plea for help.

Basically, I've been noticing that with some of the new members, they have some... Well, I'll come out straight and say it, sub-par spelling and grammar. Less so punctuation, they all seem pretty good with this.

But this isn't a rant about them, well, not completely. It's mainly about the influx. With any large influx of people, there will be those uneducated in such things. We're going to need to fix this. I plan on being rather blunt about this.

Basically, what I'm saying, is that don't be too mad at me if I moan, or correct you. It's just what I do.

Oh, and Silver. I hope you haven't gotten lax in my time away. I need your help. ^^

Oh, I'm all for bluntness. Be as blunt as you want. I'm just not qualified nor authorized to do so. Just as well, Silver has been letting things go to the PVF syndrom. Basicly, the more time someone spends on the forums, the better their spelling and grammar becomes. But, I believe that the effect grows weaker if the number of people bad at spelling and grammar becomes higher.

So yeah. Allow me to be out of place when I say; Get to it you two!

Bah...so I play WAR. In WAR, I play a class who (along with their enemy mirror class) has been pretty much the laughingstock of both sides. Mythic has promised a love patch several months ago, and then decided not to, saying it'd be coming out in June instead. So now the June patch is running on the test server and lo and behold, no love. Just general changes, nothing special for the classes. The lead developer just posted going "Oh yeah, maybe next time." I'm getting really aggravated with this terrible customer service, the dev's have been ignoring this class for months, not even fixing the bugs in their abilities. I'm almost at the point of pulling a /ragequit.

I agree with Luquos. Although my spelling and grammar's not all that great, I do my best. But I must say that I've seen much, much worse.
[example] you see i knew this guy who typed exactly like this all the time it got very confusing particularly in large rp post its kind of funny since his name was dark too and he god modded allot and do you realize how annoying it is to deliberately type like this i have to keep resiting the urge to hit the full stop and shift button not to mention the comer and enter button although thanks to mine and my older sister tutoring he did get better as in he started using capitals and full stops it took awhile though and i dont know how well hes doing since i have spoken to him since i left unifaction speaking of which i was on unifaction before i join the pvf forums and then awhile later unifaction got upgraded from unifaction 2 to 3 it was still easy to use and good and fun but it just wasn't the same as the old unifaction so i kind of permanently moved to these forums and quietly disappeared [/example]

Urgh! That took so long simply because I had to concentrate on not using grammar. I do pay attention to what I'm typing but it seems a lot harder when you stop using something you normally use.

This is the worst day I've had in a long time.

I had my first allergic reaction since I found out I was allergic to nuts. This kid that for some reason hates me had some almonds. I said not to eat those near me. And he didn't. He just shoved them into my mouth. And a few hours later I was back in school, just in time to get a failing French test back.

I left school, got on my bike, and started riding home. I was waving to my friend in his car, not looking where I was going, and... I crashed. I was on the ground for a minute, and some older kids walked by. They robbed me. They took my cell phone and my MP3 player. I tried getting back on my back... but the front wheel was stuck and the bike wouldn't move. I walked a kilometre home lifting my bikes front wheels off the ground. It wasn't fun. Sigh.

Wow, that's a horrible day Cheez. I don't know if you know the robbers, but you can get the almond kid in some deep trouble (I don't know about where you live, but in my school that kid would be lucky not to get expelled for that) so I strongly recommend you tell some higher up in the school what they did. I hope tomorrow's better at least!

Wow, I don't think I've ever had a day that bad Cheezdude. I'm vary sorry to hear that, I can't beleave some people would be so rude and mean as to do those things.

1: Wow Cheez, that sucks. Well, like Nab said, all you have to do is go to an authority figure and tell them what the almond kid did and he'll be thinking twice about what he did. As for the robbers, karma will eventually bite them in the butt. I do recomend telling your service provider that your phone is stollen and to disconnect your phone.
