Hi! Sorry for my total absence yesterday. Between class, cleaning for Passover, and shopping cooking for the Passover seder (I made beef tangine with sweet potatos, which is Morrocan, BTW) I didn't really have time to get on. Today being the first day of Passover though, I'm just hanging out and relaxing. Though tomorrow I'm off to Anizona (the local anime convention) so I won't be on here until I get back sometime in the evening. To comment on a couple of things I missed...

To mandi: Only the first season of the first FMA anime followed the manga. For the most part, it was pretty close. The second season, however was completely original.

To Astral: Passover is week long holiday, though you're only supposed to actively celebrate (as in not work, etc) on the first and seventh days. Like all Jewish holidays, it begins at sundown the day before (today is the first day of Passover, but it began last night) and ends at sundown on the last day. It celebrates when the Isrealites were freed from slavery in Egypt as told in the Biblical book of Exodus. A modern passover seder is a service that typically runs for 2-3 hours (which includes a big meal about 2/3rds of the way through), the main goals being to retell the story and emphasize how happy we should be to be free. There's lots of symbolism and various types of food involved. If you want a full description, either check Google or Wikipedia or catch me on IM some time. The seder is typically done on the first night but for the entire Passover period, you can't eat any leaven (yeast and the like) or have any in your house (hence the big pre-Passover cleaning) to commemorate how, when the Isrealites left Egypt, they did so in such a hurry that they didn't have time to let their bread rise.

Hi. It is Easter weekend. This makes me happy because I get four days off from skool and get to eat large amounts of chocolate.

Anyways, right now I'm impatiently waiting for Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2 and various other sequels to games I really like to come out. And I'm also waiting for the announcement of Valve's next sure-to-be-awesome game, since they've been my favourite developer for a while now (especially now that I'm nurturing a Left 4 Dead addiction).

Oh yeah, and I had to go to a pep rally at school today. Since I consider pep rallies to be a method of spreading conformist propaganda, I spent a few minutes telling conspiracy theories to random people at the entrance then quietly slipped away to go read books in the school library. Happy fun times!

Anyway, I had Prom last night. did not make Prom queen, but the theme was 1920s. so the favors were boas and pearls for girls, Plastic fedoras for the guys, a glass, noisemaker, and I "liberated" a small led light that was just sitting on the table.

Also, My brother is home for the weekend... he's more evil than Atma is towards Marley.

I rocked at our performance of the Living Last Supper. After that we had a church overnight, which was really fun. We went out to the graveyard at night to reinact Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane. Fun stuff. And chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. Yum. :D

Just went and saw Monsers vs. Aliens. Good movie. T'was funny. :D

Omg Aura that sounds awesome! I had a 1920's theme for my Prom too! But we didn't get cool stuff like that. I however did get an award for "Most Unique Person" And I was up against someone who is.. well he was practically famous in our year just for being so random.

((He sang all the time in my english class.. In fact he Actually started singing "sexual healing" to the teacher, changing "baby" to the name of the teacher. THAT'S how random he was))

Not quite sure how I go "most unique" maybe some of the stuff I did like walking laps around the school every lunchtime, some of them backwards ("Why are YOU walking backwards.. backwards is relative you know") and jsut my complete weirdness. *shrug*

I hope you had fun at your prom though. Mine was okay, but there were a lot of tears. Hopefully yours went better than mine^^

Okay girly question time: Did you have a date? Was he cute? Did he wear a SUIT!? (<3 suits) What was your dress like? Was it pretty? Did you have shoes to match? I had my hair curled but the curls fell out >.< did you have any disasters like that?

Third... My GOD I don't want to go! You can't make me! Why on earth do humans think it's a good idea to wear fancy, uncomfortable clothes when they plan to dance and get all sweaty anyway? Why does society condone the idea of getting everyone in the emotionaly and hormonaly unstable teenage age group together at the same time in the same place, even when a lot of them hate each other? Why are people willing to spend so much money just to enter when they could easily go somewhere else that costs much less and have just as much, if not more, fun? Why, oh WHY, did I agree to go for the sake of... her...? Geh... Relationships are like the game: You just can't win... but you play anyway.

And... secretly you enjoy it.
