That kid from Lost magic! I can't remember his name though. He has a pet bird and has to save a girl and maybe a goddess, I haven't gotten very far though.

You should be guessing characters, not series. But I guess I'll give one final hint. The character is from the first game in a short series, the first game of which has been remade multiple times and released on some Sega systems, the Playstation, and the DS.
