Similar as in a similar meaning. Make the related word bold and the new word italic. The sentence does not need to be similar to the last one, though. Here's the example.
Example:
1st post: I hope this doesn't become a competition on who can stump the others.
2nd post: Well, a contest might be a lot of fun to do.
3rd post: Video games are a joyous experience.
And so on and so forth.
