The Berry Orchard

Post by Silver »

I mentioned one of these a while ago, didn't I? Yes, well... If you have a berry, you can plant it here and in a few days, more will grow. Only the person that planted the tree can harvest berries from it; however, other trees will spring up from time to time that anyone can pick from. Also, if someone neglects to pick their berries, they'll fall to the ground and a new tree will grow that they don't have any claims to. Of course, all Berry Trees randomly explode once the berries have been picked.

Now, since there are no contests, you can't make Pokeblocks or Poffins out of these things, and the Infinity Potion makes them useless outside of battle... but they make for convenient little hold items. In fact, they're the only way to restore HP or heal status conditions mid-battle. They may be a useful thing to stock up on, especially if you plan to battle any of the future Gym Leaders.

All currently growing Berry trees will be listed in this post with what stage of growth they're in. It takes about four days for the average berry tree to grow.

Berries as of July 29:

Image Sipapa Berry (Josiah) - Berries x3

Image Blum Berry (Josiah) - Berries x2

Image Blum Berry (Neo Zanther) - Berries x3

Image Corssho Berry (Phonox) - Berries x2

Image Rawzz Berry (Phonox) - Berries x4

Image Blum Berry (Phonox) - Berries x2

Also, keep in mind that from time to time wild IPA will show up and steal some berries... this is pretty rare, though. Almost as rare as the IPA that may show up. If you catch them in that act, you're free to, well, catch them... you have been warned.

Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I'll pick the two Rawzz berries. Can we have multiple berries growing at once? If so, I'll plant one of them.

I have a question about the orchard. Woudn't it be better if you only pick one berry per post so no one picks them all and everyone else would get a chance to pick them? Er, not that I wanted those two rawzz berrys, me being caught up in a stadium match and all. Speaking of which, I should go start the battle.

There's no limit on how many trees you can have growing at once... but you can only have one of each type of tree growing at a time. Like, if you pick two Blum berries, you can't plant both of them; otherwise it's too easy to double your berries every four days. And I don't want to have to work with numbers to the tune of "OVER NINE THOUSAAAND."

I'm liking Gar's idea, too. One pick per post, unless you've got more than one tree growing. You can pick from your own trees. But if you do, no free tree picking.

I can still pick all the berries from my own tree, right? If so, I'll pick both my Blum berries and plant one. If not, I'll just pick one.

Of course you can pick all the berries from one tree; you just can't pick from more than one tree at once. I thought that was obvious, on account of Berry trees explode once you pick from them...

Um... BFC, you just started a battle with Roxanne. You can't have more than one fight going on at once.

I'll pick a Filue berry.

So, just as clarification, anyone can attack/catch the wild IP's that show up?
