Hi! Today I plan to work on another one of my big research papers. Ugh, I'm no longer used to staring at my computer for so many hours each day...

My game project is an arcady casual game for the 360 and Windows (choice of platformers being because XNA is free and easy to use; I mean, I don't have a 360). It's called Car Washer: Summer of the Ninja. The coding has only just been started so I don't want to say much more until it's further along. Though, assuming it goes well, I might offer some of you guys a chance to beta test it later on.

In other news, I'll be posting the short story I wrote for that job application later today. In still other news, the 2008 Week of Randomness will begin on the 14th! I originally planned on having it sooner (like this coming week) but with all the homework I just don't think I could devote enough time to it.

How does "the Week of Randomness" work?

Each day has a certain theme attached to it, and users are supposed to act out the theme all day long. At the end of the week, you earn points based off of how well you did. The winner recieves an image. Example themes are like, "Talk like a Shakespear Character Day", or "Haiku Day", or "Be sickingly Nice and Friendly Day". Those were some of last years themes, anyways. I came in third.

Hi all! I just got back from an eye appointment! I had to get my eyes dilated and now I look like I'm high.

Anyway, I have to go to a christmas parade tommorow, going to do physicion assisted suicide for my research prodject, a christmas concert on tuesday, get to go to a medical facility on thursday, and then audition for All-West Tennessee next saturday. Also, on tuesdays, I have music lessons, wednesday, I go to the middle school I used to go to to tutor some of the band students for All-West, and on thursday I go to a different middle school to tutor some of the students. And that's my schedual for my life as of right now.

Hi! I got about...2/3 of a paper done today. I'll probably finish it Monday, write as much of my last paper as I can on Wednesday, finish that one Thursday or Friday, and work in that other final whenever the rest of my team sends me the info. And then there's that Japanese homework... I'm getting there though.

Heya! Well, it's official. I've made the jazz band.
If the names are in order of position (which I believe they are), I'm 1st/2nd trumpet (2nd name on the list, as I was last year but last year I had 1st for every song. Not sure if it'll be the same this year, however).
I'm pleased. Didn't think I'd do so well as a freshman (though the first name is one of my best friends who I am extremly competative with. That's half the reason I got way better at trumpet after we started both being in concert band. I do not doubt that a good portion of my trumpet abilities come from being competitive with him). There's only one name on the trumpet list I don't recognize. We may very well all be freshmen. :P

Oh, awesome day yesterday. My friend (who is on my Destination Imagination team)'s older sister (who is a senior and is on a different DI team) helps coach a little kid (2nd and 3rd graders) DI team. Her assistant coah (who is on her DI team, and is also the older sister of a girl on my DI team) couldn't make it, so my friend asked me and my other friend if we wanted to fill in. It was awesome. The little kids were so cute. :P
After that, we went downtown. It's holiday night, or something. Sometime during the night is when they turned on all of the Christmas lights. They also had chestnuts roasting on an open fire. :D I had one. They were okay, but it was still awesome.

and a lady with a k9 unit

they sent us out the room and then they checked for apparently metal and drugs. they found none. It was soooooooooo random for the fact our teacher didn't come to school that day and the door was unlocked. (yes, we stayed in class for about 1 hour alone)

...last week, someone in our class was expelled for having Marijuana in their locker. I hate them, so I'm happy. But the guy's brother is invited to my brother's birthday party.
