If it weren't for the whole "could get you expelled" thing, I would definitely reccomend the soft spot shot. I know I'd certainly back off.
Also, I went in to the doctor's today to see what I have (pending blood test on results), but I also found out something kinda sucky. I've always been on-the-verge-but-not-quite-depressed, but apparently now I'm officially borderline depressed. Yay me. I've been signed up to counselling.

You know, a lot of the time depression is actually caused by chemical and/or hormonal imbalances in your body screwing with your brain (which counselling doesn't really help). My dad has treated some people like that.

Of course, sometimes it's all mental, in which case the counselling is good.

Doctor: Sure! *does blood test* Um, I'm sorry son but it seems you don't have the flu- you have depression.

Nab: You got that from a blood test?

Doctor: Yup^^ We can find out ANYTHING with a blood test these days.. and most fo the time with young people it's depression/ADHD or some mental disorder... SO take this chemist full of pills, go to a councellor and make sure you come back regularly so I can have money- I MEAN so you don't get more ... sick. BYES^^

Honestly, Doctors do that all the time. And, if you're jsut the tiniest bit overweight.. they say "loose some weight" as if that solves everything. "Hmm, it appears you have cancer... maybe if you loose some weight you'll get better, I mean a size 16!? The horror! What are we paying these people for!?

I hope it's not REALLY depression.. and even if it is, I hope you work it out.

And Aura.. I really don't know how to help. A jerk crushing on you... the only thing I can think of is to take the other's advice- hit hi where it hurts. But since he's a 'tough guy' the place that hurts is not a physical place... it's his pride. Make him look like the idiot he is in front of all his friends. He may hate you after that, but at least he won't be bugging you to date him anymore!

Haha well it didn't go down quite as amusingly as that, it was the university nurse and apparently it's policy to hand out this little quiz just to see if there is depression, and voila, I do. Can't wait to see what the blood test comes back with now though.

What kind of questions are on the test?.. it seems all very unscientific to me...

Just stuff like "Are you having trouble sleeping?", "Are you having suicidal thoughts?", "Are you eating less?", just the basic stuff, I've taken it several times (like I said before, something similar to it runs in the family so I've grown up expecting to get something like it) but I've always been just under.

Yeah, we've been studing depression in health.
There is clinical depperssion, which is just something you're born with and you have to learn how to cope with throughout life. Deperssion is also usually hereditary.

As for Aura, my best advice would be to ignore him, but apparently that doesn't work. I've never really had that issue to that exent before, so *shrug*.

His pride isn't in his ability to think or he would have stopped at the riddle. And kicking his pride could get you hurt. I'd say the "excuse me" plan is the safest.
I hope you the best Nab. Sorry to hear of it. But I'm sure you're strong enough to withstand half-depression or worse.

I have this college prof. who's teaching us wrong and (basically everyone is failing) now the school board wants to fire her, meaning we the kids will have to take the course again! NO frikken credit! So either we drop out of the class and have to do a course 2x harder next semester/year or continue this course and do poorly because she can't teach us properly and not get the credit. SOOO pissed.

seriously! everytime i'm in study hall, and when everyone finishes their work, they don't wanna do anything fun! all those creeps wanna do is talk about boring stuff, like about what sad, boring, depressing event happened to them! I could have finished about 100 hangman puzzles with them if they could just shut up and have some fun once in a while! but nnnooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo. they just wanna talk lame and be stuck up. and the worst part is, they are new kids, and they wanna kick me off of the table i founded before any of those goons showed up. can you believe that?
