Yeah, I mean, I didn't even know what the LHC was (let alone that it had been tested) until someone brought it up here. I'm in by far one of the greenest parts of Canada (you don't tend to see "Re-elect the Green Party!" signs in Ontario), but nobody talks about the environment here. I mean, we're in a financial crisis. The Canadian dollar is down to 0.8 today. To quote that vivvav guy (I don't think he's still here, he only really joined to promote a webcomic of his), "pain! I'm in pain!" Not to mention I've lost over $3000 in stocks...all of which was part of my RESP. And the only people I know who talk about any of this sort of thing? PVF. (Not sure if this sounds angry or agreeing, but it's supposed to be good, I like these debates!)

Let's see... In fire emblem 7, around 75% done with the game, you get a WEAK excuse for a unit named Nino. Why weak? She gets OHKO ASAP! Only good thin is that if she talks to an assassin named Jaffar, he joins you. Only problem is that SHE CAN'T REACH HIM WITHOUT DYING!!

Really? I've never had trouble with Nino. Yeah, getting her to talk to Jaffar is annoying, but if you're in Hector's story (boss is positioned differently, so you don't have to worry about getting doubled with bolting because of traveler penalties), you can just rescue Jaffar and bring him over. In Eliwoods, you can do the same, just have someone else take/drop him so you won't get owned by bolting. Bam! Nino talks to him easy. The key is not to get Nino to Jaffar, but to get Jaffar to Nino. After that level, training Nino is easy since she is ranged.
You train her, she becomes the best sage in the game, by far. Especially compared to Erk *shudder*. That poor exuse for a sage.
Nino's even better than Pent. I had a file where I got them both to level 20, second class. I think the only thing Pent was better in was defence.
Need to beat that game in hard mode Hector story...I'm just taking a break from it for a bit.
May the Triforce be with you.

You make a good point. The fact that we can talk about such a diverse selection of topics with little to no serious fighting is pretty cool.

wrong level. I want to get Nino to talk to Jaffar on the level you get Nino so he is available for the side quest. I am also regretting the fact I started with Eliwood cause I use Hector waaaaay more and he own waaaaaaay more too. Axes come in landslides in my game for some reason.

Rant: Compare the easiest games in FE: 7 & 8 (according to a lot of people). >_>
FE 8 is a breeze for the fact you can go and grind (lvl up out of storyline) around chp 7 (when you get the tower) and you can shop at anytime! FE 7 has no grinding and no shopping at anytime. You have to do lvl in the storyline and shop in the middle of the battle which gets annoying to do when you are trying to get a good "strategy" rank. D:

Yeah, I know what level you're talking about. The one where you first get Nino and have to save Prince what's-his-face. I've beaten the game 4 times. :P Kill the boss first, then send Nino over. Either that or rescue Jaffar (you can rescue green characters), and then drop him a distance off (but be sure to drop him before the turn ends or else you get doubled by bolting).
Stragety rank is based on how many turns you take. I don't bother trying to get that, cuz I'd rather get supports, which causes me to waste several turns just standing next to each other. I still end up with an A or B rank, though (money is the other rank which I have trouble with. 5 stars almost always on survival and usally at least 4 on battle. Think there's another rank, but I'm blanking) Having the shops is obnoxious, though. I always buy either too much or too little. Having Ephriam (or Eirika) be the merchant makes life easier, too in FE8. I like how PoR works best, that you can shop in between levels and supports are much easier.
You don't even need to grind on FE8. It's an easy game.
FE10 (Radiant Dawn) is definatly the hardest. I beat Path of Radiance in hard mode farily easily. RD is much harder, though in normal mode it's probably easier due to the handy-dandy battle save feature.
Really. If you need Fire Emblem advice, come to me. I've beaten FE7 (FE GBA aka Blazing Sword aka Rekka no Ken, I beleive) 4 times, twice on Eliwood's and twice on Hector's, all in normal mode. Beaten FE8 (Sacred Stones) twice, once on normal in Eirika's and once on hard in Ephiram's. Beaten FE9 (PoR) 5 or 6 times, I believe (lost my old memory card. I think I beat it 4 times on that memory card) 4 (probably) times in normal, 1 in easy, and 1 in hard. Beaten FE10 (RD) once in normal, but I'm on Part 4: Endgame in hard mode. I'm a Fire Emblem nerd. :P

Edit: And yes, FE7 and FE8 are the easiest in the series.
May the Triforce be with you.

GrrrrrAAAHGG!

Okay...I try my best....I really do! Whenever we have a hockey game where a ref made a play I don't agree with, I try my best to understand. I know it's hard! Even before I became an official ref, I always sympathized with the refs. I haven't refed a game yet, but at the ref seminar they told us so much that there is to remember! Very hard to call everything.
So, I'm not sure who will understand this little ice hockey rant, but I have to get my feelings out.
If you're only going to read one of these, please read number 6. That's the one that really ticked me off.

Play number 1: The play ended, and I was skating back to the bench. All I see is my friend skating back, and the girl on the other team whacks her with her stick. Both of them get called for roughing. Bleh.

Play number 2: Some sort of play was called (I forget what) not soon after play number 1. Coach wanted to talk to the ref who called the play, whic hwas the younger one. That ref refused to talk to him. The older one came, but coah didn't want to talk to him, because at the time he was on his butt (he had fallen, it was rather hilarious). Coah says "oh, so are you his agent?" So, we get a penalty. In the rulebook it does say something about foulmouthing the ref, I believe, but that was in no way foulmouthing the ref. I can sort of understand the younger ref not wanting to talk, you do usually have the older one talk, but that was taking it too far, on the part of Coah and the head ref. Blah.

Play number 3: I play defence, FYI. Okay, so this other girl on the other team had a breakaway, and I was skating beside her, trying to stop her. I used my stick to try and knock away the puck, which is totally legitamate. I know. I've read the rules. You're allowed to use your stick to gain an advantage, and/or knock away the puck. So, she tries to cut in (I'm slowly pushing her to the outside), and bumps into me hard. I fell over, and she subsequently tripped over me and fell. On me. Ow. So, play continues, but once our team touches the puck, the delayed penalty gets called. Me for tripping! GAH! Everyone thought that was unfair, even my dad who also hates getting mad at refs. Oh, and by now there are three of us in the penalty box. One from play 1, me, and another because coach and the refs got into an argument, because they were both being stupid. We had a penalty party. -_-

Play number 4: Okay, so you can't throw the puck in the offensive zone if someone else on your team is already there. Play will be stopped. If it is "unintentional", the face off is conducted at the face off dot right outside the zone. If it is "intentional', the face off is conducted in the offending team's defensive zone. In ref class, I learned that you really don't call intentional very much because, when you think about it, off sides could almost always be intentional. So, you usually only call it if the offending person is deep in the zone. So, there was one girl on the other team in our zone (their attacking zone) and she was near the hash (about the middle of the zone) and she was waiting htere for a pass. This other girl skated into the zone with the puck, and off sides was called, but it wasn't intentional! GAAAH!!!

Play number 5: Play ended, and a girl fell on our goalie. It kinda looked purposeful, but one of the girls on our team might have pushed her. So, the girl pushed on our goalie to get back up. It was really obvious for the most part. No call. The girl stood up, and very, very obviously punched our goalie in the face. No call! I skated over to our goalie and talked to her, asking her if she was punched in the face. She said "Yeah!", and was equally pissed off. Grrrrr.....

Play number 6: This is the one that pissed me off the most. The puck was thrown out of the offensive zone, and I skated back and got it a few yards outside the zone. I looked up to see the girls on my team were skating out of the zone (as a recap, you can't throw it ack in while someone else on your team is already there), so I threw it back in becuase I thought they were going to make it. The players from my team were literally on the line and INTENTIONAL was called!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I was soooooooo pissed off! That was one of the main things they taught us: that they have to be deep for it to be intentional. If they're skating back, it's not intentional! Especially if they're on the freaking line!! GRAAAHH!

Once again, I feel like punching a wall. I am really pissed, especially because the older ref was acting like a jerk. GRRRRRRRRRRR.......

I'm a girl, and I think I have ranted more before...well before the timewarp that is. I...tend to rant a lot. Life is too stressful.

This is why I don't play sports. Sorry to hear your game went so badly.
