Game Advice
Re: Game Advice
I said Paypal is legit, I didn't say every ebay seller is honest. Most are, but not all. Fortunately, both ebay and Paypal have some measure of fraud protection so if you dig up the right forms and are persistant you can actually get your money back if someone cheats you. Also, pay attention to someone's feedback score when buying from them.
Re: Game Advice
It keeps telling me I have unread messages in this topic, but it's the same. So I'm posting to hopefully fix it, ja?

Re: Game Advice
Wii games have region codes, so unless you find someone on ebay selling an Australian copy, better stick to DS games.
Systems with no region codes: Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS
Systems where hardly any games have region codes but a random few do: PSP, PS3, Xbox360
Systems that have region codes on all games: pretty much everything else

Re: Game Advice
My cousin bought a bunch of DS games when he visited because it was so very much cheaper than what you pay in Wales. All of them worked on his DS.

Re: Game Advice
Ooh, a friend of mine had that happen too, she bought what she thought was a DVD collection of D.Gray-Man episodes, but all she got were burned copies in DVD sleeves. Paid at least $60 for it too...anyways! I strongly recommend Kirby: Canvas Curse, I played that for a long time 'til I got all the secrets and whatnot. I like The World Ends With You, but I'm worried I'm going to destroy my screen because I use a lot of the "slash" skills really fast. If you like classics, Diddy Kong Racing is pretty cool too, so far as I can tell its mostly identical to the N64 version, except with that boost system they put at the start of each race.Cheezdude wrote:I got ripped off on ebay once. Actually, I got nothing. For $50. *winces*

I Have 23 hours of playtime on my Canvas Curse. =D
And some 4 on World Ends With You in the 1st week.

Re: Game Advice
If Elite Beat Agents and the Ouendon games didn't destroy my touch screen nothing will. The World Ends with you isn't nearly as crazy (touch screen usage wise) as they are. Just don't put a whole lot of pressure on the screen.

Re: Game Advice
Mario Party DS has a few minigames that require a lot of touch seen stuff so I put a screen protector on becasue of my own paranoia...
I tend to loose/break things all the time
The screen protector annoys me, but it's better than a destroyed screen.

Re: Game Advice
My touch screen is destoyed. It's gotten so bad, I rarely use it for games that need touch screen. It thinks you're tapping nearly a cm away from where you're actually tapping. I know how it works for the most part, though, so I can sorta use it. Things that need precise pointing are too tough, though.
My sis has 2 DS's though (she thought she lost one, so she bought another only to find the other one), so I use one of those if I need touch screen.

Re: Game Advice
How is it destroyed?
Have you tried calibrating it?

Re: Game Advice
I sat there for over 10 minutes trying to calibrate it.
Trust me, it doesn't work.
