Round 3: Super Happy Fun Fun Land

[Saber Knight]

Mickey inhaled deeply, and dramatically stepped into the Wonderful World of Slime.

[Josiah]

MARLEY

Marley grapped one of the red discs and help on and it shot through the tube. As he went, Marley could see other tubes (some larger, some smaller) leading in all sorts of directions.

(You can hang on for a while longer and see what happens, or you can let go at a random spot.)


KAIDA & CASSI

"Maps and guides really aren't very sparkly." the shop keeper replied. "Might be a compass around somewhere, though I doubt it'd be all that useful here in the park."


MICKEY

Mickey stepped through the barrier, and promptly sank to around the middle of her chest in a gooey greenish slime. She seemed to be in a bog of some sort. Tall dark trees blotted out the sun and spread large twists roots about through the slime. Other plants and vines lay scattered about and she could see what looked like small huts or structures of some sort in the distance. Lots of spooky sounds filled the air. Other people were trudging through the slime to various destinations. Surprisinly, being buried in slime didn't seem to impare their movement much.

After a few moments of shock, Mickey laughed. The Wonderful World of Slime...go figure. There appeared to be small huts in the distance, and Mickey decided to head for those.

[Astral Omega]

Cassi sighed, she had to think about this. "If I were a great big map, where would I hide?" she muttered to herself.

Suddenly it struck her and she slapped herself hard on the forehead.

"Well then could you tell me where the park entrance is please?"

[Giga-Gar]

Gary, after much thought, decided to try again. This time, he would try to listen for the Nole and anticipate it's movements.

[Josiah]

MICKEY

Moving in the slime really wasn't much harder than walking on land. As Mickey trudged closer to the huts she could see the signs on them. There were three in a cluster. One said O.J. Slimeson's Slime Botique, the second was Brunch o' Slime, and the third The Slime Obstacle Races. She could also see more huts further off to the left. To the right, the bog seemed to grow darker and spookier, making it hard to see very far in the distance.


KAIDA & CASSI

"Go right outside the store, turn right, and head for the giant sign that says Park Entrance/Exit. You can't miss it."


GARY

Between his new plan, and knowing what to expect, Gary fared much better than before, with the final score being Nole - 30, Gary - 22.

"Not bad at all!" the guy running the game commented as Gary came back out. "Keep trying and you just might pull it off before too long. What do you say?"

[Kaida]

"Great, thanks" Kaida said smiling at the shopkepper. "And can I have this too." She continued indicating the shiney crystal ball on a sting.

[Saber Knight]

"'Slime Obstacle Races.'" Mickey read out loud. "That sounds promising!" With that, Mickey headed to the Slime Obstacle Races.

[Astral Omega]

“There’s a giant sign? I didn’t see a giant sign…” Cassi muttered thoughtfully to herself. “I’ll wait outside”.

She headed for the door, but was suddenly stopped by something particularly shiny and pretty that caught her eye. She went to inspect it.

[Josiah]

KAIDA & CASSI

"Sure." the shop keeper answered Kaida. "Long as you plan to pay for it."

The thing Cassi spotted looked something like a very shiny golf ball that sparkled with a rainbow of colors.


MICKEY

Mickey managed to climb out of the slime and into the hut with the Slime Obstacle Races sign. Slime still clung to her clothes and skin though and it was dripping from the ceiling. There were a few other people inside but they all quickly disapeared into one of two halls. One hall had a sign reading "Single Contestants" and the other said "Racing Rivals (two person groups only)".

[Saber Knight]

Well, since I'm alone I guess that leaves me with one option. Mickey thought to herself as she walked down the "Single Contestants" hallway.

[Astral Omega]

Cassi picked up the shiny thing and ran to the counter. “DO WANT!” she thrust it towards him.

The glittering lustre of the ball reverted her speech to a vocabulary consisting entirely of internet memes. (Cassi sometimes did that when overly excited and vowed to one day stop browsing the internet so much.)

She paid for it and walked out the door before simultaneously trying to keep staring at the ball and look around for the giant sign.

Kaida paid for the shiney crystal ball on a string and joined Cassie outside.

"I belive he was talking to me Cassi" She said to her friend.

[Josiah]

MICKEY

Mickey headed down the hall only to have it branch out in three seperate directions. The signs above each read: "Beginner Course", "Intermediate Course", and "Advanced Course".


KAIDA & CASSI

The girls got their shiny things and headed out of the store. As promised, there was a giant Entrance/Exit sign to the right and down the street above a giant archway.

[Astral Omega]

“Well, this shouldn’t be too hard!” Cassi made her way to the entrance and began looking for some information.

It was only logical- every public place such as this should have some sort of ‘you are here’ setup or better still, an information desk of some sort. She explained this to Kaida.
