"Don't worry, I have a spy aready watching your every move. One possible of not understand things and a false move will inform me of where you are at and we will talk with our swords next time. But feel free to take as long as you wish in Kyoto."
Taking a bow, Eri moved back a little, keeping her eyes on them, and one hand on her sword. With her other hand she held below her stomach.
Shinta wasn't happy at all. People don't talk to him much, but he was always a quiet boy. But he was good at fighting. He decided in the end to walk to lunch and have some before it was put up.

Time will tell, as things come
Come to it all, will never end

You will never know what my pain is untill its too late. Never for my heart to fall in pieces as with the blood that drips.

Kusa smiled and gave a gentle nod to his customer. "All right then. Have a lovely evening, Ojo-sama." With that said, he placed the serving tray under his arm and elegantly walked away from Ishi's table. The tray was returned to the kitchen. He then went to sit down at an unoccupied table. "Well... So far, no one who even looks like a Choushuu has come in tonight. If this keeps up, I might be able to end the mission and return home. Hijikata-san can't blame me if no one of any use came in...", the shinobi thought to himself.
~~~~~
Kaoru placed his chopsticks together and set them on the tray before picking up the small bowl of miso soup. He brought the bowl to his mouth, tilting one end up slightly so that the contents easily slid into his mouth. It was surprising how someone could drink soup without making a single noise but he managed it quite nicely. The now-empty bowl was replaced on the tray as the young Taichou nuzzled Bae-chan's shoulder gently with his head. No, he had not forgotten about Yuji-kun's question.
"Yuji-kun... If you wish to join up, then you must demonstrate your skills against one of our members in front of Kondou-kyoukuchou. However, I think it's important that I tell you... We all live by a very strict code of rules, devised by Hijikata-sama himself. If you want me to, I'll show them to you after dinner.", he calmly explained. There was a slightly sad expression in his purple eyes. Kaoru didn't like the thought of the young man before him becoming a Hitokiri anymore than Isumi-chan did but it was Yuji-kun's choice to make. He forced a smile. "So, what would you like to do?"
"Heh, I think I'll give it a shot!" he said, grinning widely. his eyes filled with excitement. he then remembered his sisters concern, he turned to face her "You don't have join if you don't want to.... I know that you don't like getting involved."
"Daijobu..." she replied "If your going to do it then I'll go along with it." the young girl smiled as well "Maybe this way we can put our skills to better use." "I don't want to see Nii-chan kill anymore, but it's his choice I guess" the young girl thought to herself, "I guess to survive easier, we all have to make sacrifices.
" 'skills' huh..?" Yuji thought to himself "I really don't like the idea of her using her magic, it's very rare for someone to be able to use it, let alone without a tome or a stave....." But if there was no other way to escapethe harsh reality of poverty for him and his sister, then he might as well go for it. I guess conflict is the only way of life for people like him...
"Liar." Sakria muttered as they left the assassin behind. "If there was someone spying on us I'd know it." She suddenly stopped. "Wait... Why am I dragging you around? You're the one who knows where we're going, you should be dragging me." She released Honda and held out her arm. "Well, hurry up, drag me where ever it is we're going."
Eri turned a cornor and stopped infront of a door. "Did you see them, Olka?"
"Yes, and I will follow them to see what they are up to. They didn't seem to believe you."
Eri then took a step and turned. "Tell me what you see and send someone else back to me with the information, now go."
Suddenly a short, round man accosted Sakria and Honda.
"Greetings, you look like men with good taste. Perhaps you'd like to be amazed with a display of mystical powers?" said Huy with a glint in his eye.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.
Kaoru closed his eyes. "Well then, before I talk to Kondou-san and set you up in a match, allow me to show you our rules." His purple eyes opened and he gently moved out of Bael's hold, standing up. "Bae-chan... Please, try not to do anything too rash while I'm away. All right?" He smiled and with that, lead the children out of the dining hall. On their way out, they passed by Shinta. The taichou's smile brightened as he hugged the boy. "Oh, Shinta-kun! You would be perfect for sparring against the children in their match. Will you do it?"
Yuji looked over at this Shinta boy, "You serious? He's going to take us two on one? At least find him a partner or he won't stand a chance" Yuji said, beginning to laugh, "There's absolutly no chance he can beat me and Isumi alone!".... "no chance, never going to happen" he reinforced this into his thoughts. The only person that ever even stood a chance at killing them had spared their life. And that was the only person he would allow himself to lose to, especially in a serious match.
Although he had no idea how to respond to a request to be dragged around Kyoto, Honda certainly wished he had taken up the offer after Sakria revealed a violent streak. The entire situation was amusing, but still the type of thing that it's better not to be involved in. "Hey, now. Vision problems are no reason to go around kicking people," Honda scolded as he adjusted his own glasses, if only to draw attention to them. "Though I'll concede that he may have deserved that for other reasons..."
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.
While writhing on the ground, Huy managed to speak coherently, saying, "Pardon me, but everyone's hair is the same these days, it's hard to spot genders from behind, I guess I was wrong, but don't hold that against me! I'm a powerful magician!"
"Oh course you were wrong!" Sakria ignored Honda's comment. "If it were some other girl I might forive you but how could you possibly mistake someone as pretty as I am? I mean, I even have a stalker." she indicated Honda. "Well, what kind of tricks can you do?" she suddenly changed subjects. "Could you make someone disapear? Like maybe that person following us?"
"Er....well...maybe. Perhaps you could point him out? Either way, it'll be expensive....." Huy rubbed his hands together.
Dabido went off to see how things were progeressing leaving Zaka alone with a now loud purring Gil. Zaka was letting his mind wonder abit when he noticed a cricket jump on the table. It chirped 3 times and then stopped. "Did Ishi send this?" said Zaka. Just to be sure he quickly grabed the insect. Sure enough as soon as he touched it his mind was flooded with what info the tiny insect was carrying.
"Ah good. Everyone made it town and are now setting up. If everything goes right we should have a general idea of the town in a week. If this rain stops soon I even might venture into town in afew days. Then the fun will begin."
Zaka got up and walked over to a large blank paper hanging on the wall. He then touched the paper with this index finger and a small sections of the paper begain to have something drawn on them. It didn't last long though. But now Zaka had a map of where all his spies were staying at plus some of the surounding area of Kyoto. He hoped to have the paper mostly finished in a week. Then he would have a map of the city plus any key areas of intrest.
"Come Gil. Lets go see if the cooks have made dinner yet. If not I have some food in my room."
Kaoru released Shinta-kun and brought a hand up to cover his mouth as he giggled soflty. "Oh, pardon me. My words just now were incorrect. You two children won't be fighting together in your matches. It'll be one-on-one. The purpose of this is so that we can accurately examine your skills for ourselves. Two-on-one would just complicate everything. Besides, these matches aren't fight until one of you loses, is too injured to fight, or is unarmed by the other." He raised a hand and patted Yuji-kun softly on top of his head. "Your eagerness is so refreshing to see here. You're a good kid.", he smiled again.
(Waiting on them leaving till Aquanta has replied with Shinta, Eri, and Olka.)
~~~~~
Gil had been drifting in and out of slumber, enjoying the sensation of Zaka scratching gently just behind his left ear. But the other ear perked up as there came the chirping of a small cricket. The kitten moved his head off of his master's leg as Zaka stood up and went to grab the insect. He brought his arm to rest underneath his chin instead. Then he merely listened to all that was done and said. Both ears suddenly perked up as he was instructed to accompany Zaka and he dragged himself up to do so with the thought of nice hot food as a source of secondary motivation. "Hai hai, Master!"
