Inside the caves Dabido was doing the best he could to get things orginized. Inside caves wasn't his ideal area for a base but it did have some good points. But the drops of water on his head once in awhile did annoy him.

Soon Zaka appeared in the roon where Dabido was in. "So had a nice look at Kyoto?" said Dabido.

"Well what I could see though all this rain anyway. It's bigger then I thought but shouldn't be much of a problem. We have the numbers, all we need now is time. Though the longer we spend the worse this country will be. Though when I become Emperor I'm sure a Civil War will break out. It already has started somewhat with the arival of the Barbarians from the east. But I shouldn't have too much problem with anyone aginst me once I'm the Emperor."

Then Dabido noticed Gil nearby. "Let me guess, you found him outside? I'm not suprised. He does get bored easly. If I went outside everytime I was bored I'd never finish a meeting with you."

"Oh very funny. Well anyway we do have people in town already. I expect we'll get some more info on the city in afew days. Besides I'd like to see the city myself before we start being known."

"Isn't that just abit risky?"

"Ya but I can take care of myself. I really shouldn't draw that much attention anyway. We arn't too well known around this area and we are far from where we were active. Word of us shouldn't of spread too much into Kyoto yet. Besides, I can handle myself if I get into trouble."

((Hey Neo, are any members of your group in Kyoto? If so, humans or demons? Need to know since Sakria might be able to sense them.))

After a lot of walking, Sakria arrived on the outskirts of Kyoto. By now she was completely soaked, but she didn't seem to mind. Moving though the mostly empty streets, she began to search for an inn. She'd likely need to stay in the area for at least a few days and, with the weather the way it was, she would need lodging.

"He just... stuck his tongue out at me... Why you little--" Although Rui was tempted to charge, she decided to think things through a little bit for once. Kaoru and Bael were more than enough to handle this guy, whoever he was. And if Hijikata found out that some intruder had been insulting him behind his back, the situation would resolve itself. So instead of furthering the confrontation, Rui looked over at his sidekick, who didn't seem to approve of the jerky one's actions. As Yuji was giving his shpiel, Rui wispered to Isumi, "What's his problem, anyway?"

Meanwhile, in a much cooler part of Kyoto, Honda decided to approach a person that had caught his attention outside the city. It was pretty obvious this person was up to something, as just about everyone in Kyoto was, and finding out what should be more entertaining than aimlessly wandering the outskirts of Kyoto. Much to Honda's dismay, rain and open books don't mix, so he began, "Pardon me, but I couldn't help noticing that you were... sitting in a tree. Now, maybe it isn't any of my business, but that doesn't strike me as a smart place to be during storm..." though he didn't realize until it was too late that he had made a pun. He could hope only that Sakria didn't either.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Kaoru withdrew backwards a few steps from Isumi-chan when her brother appeared. He became slightly frantic as the boy began causing a commotion. 'This is most certainly not my day...', he thought silently to himself. Finally, when it seemed like a fight was going to break out right there in the middle of the living quarters hallway, he stepped in. One of their laws was that Private Conflicts were absolutely not permitted within the Shinsengumi, and the punishment would have amounted to Seppuku.

"That is quite enough. Everyone, I must insist that you all calm down.", he said, in the tone of voice he only used when commanding the members of his own unit. In this case, it applied to everyone within the immediate vicinity. The Taichou then turned his direct attention to Yuji-kun. "Hijikata-san is the First Fukuchou of the Shinsengumi, and is a man to be respected. Please, I must insist that you not insult him further. Nor are you given permission to insult my comrads. Is that understood?" The last sentence was that of stone and would not allowed the boy to disobey.

"Hmph. Afraid I must be taking my leave now. I have an... assignment.", Kusa said. The Shinobi didn't care in the least bit if the child continued to carry on. It didn't concern him. He gave a soft wave in Kaoru and Bael's general direction and then turned around to leave. T'was time to get some real work done in his true profession. Though he was less than anxious about having to wear the disguise of a woman during this latest mission. But there were worse things, he surmised.

~~~~~
Gil patiently listened to Zaka's words. In truth, the rain didn't really bother him all that much. Besides, when he got to feeling restless, there was no stopping him. The Neko followed his leader back into the caves and continued to tag along behind him everywhere that he went. They eventually sat down with Dabido. He didn't really bother to follow their conversation, until Dabido took notice of him. His tail wagged slowly back and forth, from side to side. Every so often, his ears would twitch. But he offered no more words to them.
Bael's nostrils almost flared as he heard the rude comments of the boy. Of course Kaoru had scolded him, but that wasn't enough for Bael. He grabbed the boy's shirt shoulder, and merely roughly pulled him to the side, tossing him behind them like a rag doll. "Mind your elders, boy." He growled out, and continued to move forward.
"He's always been this way." Isumi replied
At the same time, Yuji was silenced and stunned, not expecting that such a commanding tone could come from the same guy who was 'cowering' before Hijikata. Which surprised him even more was Bael grabbing him and tossing him to the side. At the outburst of the two Yuji only had one thing to say "Y-you can talk?" he said lamely.
Isumi sighed, walking over to Yuji she said quietly "Stop please Nii-san... your giving these people trouble..."
"Hai..." Yuji replied to her, standing up he fliched, feeling a little jolt of pain, "Itai...." he said, slightly irritated. He looked around, and the faces that looked at him were saying 'you deserved it...'
Isumi looked over his brother, "I'll heal it!" she said
"I thought I told you not to waste your power... especially while others are present" he snapped
"But your hurt" she replied, genuinly concerned
"......... fine..." Yuji said, admitting defeat.
"Raymehk Duilr" she said, waving her hand over her brother. Her hands began to glow and her energy flowed from her hand, healing her brother, and relieving his pain, "There, all better..."
"Arigatou...." he said, standing up with out a problem, he pointed over to Bael "Your lucky your outburst caught me off guard otherwised, I'd beat the crap outta ya!" he said, "It's clear you know you don't have the skills to deal with me! Otherwise you would have taken me out before." he finished his speech smirking at them.
Isumi sighed "I thought I told him that was enough...."
Sakria turned towards the stranger, eyes narrowed. Had he been following her? He must have, if he'd seen her sitting in the tree outside the city. She couldn't sense any residue of demonic energy on him, however, so it was unlikely that he was working with the demon. Still, she really should have noticed him sooner.
"Are you stalking me?" she gave him an dark look as a shuriken appeared in her hand. "I mean, I know it must be hard to resist, seeing how beautiful I am." her look and tone changed completely, taking on a much less deadly air, as the weapon disapeared. "And it's nice to see that you recognize such beauty, but I really don't go for that kind of thing."
"Teme... You should listen to your sister once in a while. Because it seems you're looking to start a fight completely ignorant to the fact that we have you outnumbered and surrounded. And you're on our territory. What do you want here, anyway?" Rui demanded, now even more infuriated by the not-Spiderman than she was before.
Although Honda was still rather perplexed by Sakria's behavior, he discovered two things through her response: first, that she was a Shinobi, or else she probably wouldn't be carrying any Shuriken around. Second that she was bipolar. No evidence as to what her business in Kyoto was, but he did think it unlikely that she belonged to either of the major military forces if her mood always changed at the drop of a hat.
"That... is not what I was doing, but whatever makes you feel better... I was simply heading in the same direction and found your pattern of behavior to be unusual. I daresay even suspcious, considering the state of affairs in Kyoto presently."
Ishi finished her meal. It was defently better compaired to her meals over the past week or so. Now her next issue was where to to stay. She had no family or friends in Kyoto to stay with. She would have to find an inn. For how long she wasn't sure. Zaka didn't have a good timetable of when things were happening. But she did have enough money to stay at an inn or several and eat and get what she needed for the next month if she was careful. Wouldn't want to have to go to the caves that she had scouted earlyer. Even though she had been away from them for a week they probably just got to town as well. At the time she had been looking at the area around town for their base and for the terrain just incase they needed to know the area. Though she was sure they'd explore more once they were ready. This was her first day in town. She was puzzled at first on why she and the others were sent this far in advanced. Though she had an idea. He migh be worred about hunters. They've been bothered by hunters before but since they were in Kyoto and all she figured he was being his usual self and being paranoid. But one could never tell...
She payed for her dinner and stepped back into the rain. "Why did it have to be raining? Figured, me skipping out on rain gear to travel light and I run into rain. Well now I can be better geared once I find a place to stay." she said to herself. Swining her travel bag over her shoulder she headed for the nearest inn.
"No, wait..." The young man found himself too late to grab hold of Bael's arm and stop him from tossing Yuji-kun aside. It appeared that the boy had gotten a small injury as a result. But then Isumi-chan revealed something rather unusual. She was well practiced in the magical arts. This surprised him a little bit, but he made no comment on it. Instead, Kaoru turned his attention to Rui.
"Rui-san, that's enough. I assume that you have already eaten dinner, correct? Well then, why don't you go out to the training hall and put that anger into something more useful?" He then looked to both of the children. "As for you two, would you like to accompany Bae-chan and myself to dinner? We haven't eaten yet but there should be plenty left. I'm sure you two will be given a meal as well", Kaoru said softly, smiling to them.
Go south from the Shinsengumi Headquarters. To the east stands a great gate, lined with the bright light of tea house lamps. This is Hanamachi. Those seeking an evening of relaxation often find themselves wandering to this district of Kyoto. There is one tea house called Shimabara, which recieves the most customers of all sorts and kinds.
Kusa adorned the disguise of a geisha working at Shimabara. All in the hopes that some Choushuu ronin might come in. After all, with a little sake and casual conversation, they would probably end up spilling a few secrets to the spy in their midst. He truly hoped that this mission would yield something of value, since it wasn't often that he had to do something this humiliating.
"Urusai, urusai urusai!" Yuji yelled out at Rui "I've been in situations worst than this! Do you think that your experience living in this nice environment can even compare to the skills I've earned trying to survive up until now! Just shut up and get outta my sight!"
"Rui-san, that's enough. I assume that you have already eaten dinner, correct? Well then, why don't you go out to the training hall and put that anger into something more useful?" After the slight commotion, Isumi's face lit up at Kaoru's offer, "Arigatou!" she said bowing. She then glanced over at her brother, signaling(sp?) for him to thank them as well.
"That would be nice... I guess..." he said quietly, actually being respectful to the fact that he was being given fair treatment for once, by a complete stranger, "Arigatou" he continued, thanking him.
"Let's go!" Isumi said with the biggest smile that she has had since the beginning of this so far, pretty depressing story.
"Walking through town in the rain is suspicious? Well, you're doing the same thing, and you were stalking me, so that makes you ever more suspicious." Sakria countered.
She paused for a moment. Stalker or not, he seemed harmless enough. As long as they were talking, she figured she might as well try and learn a bit about her surroundings. "Say, you wouldn't happen to know of any good inns near here, would you? And what do you mean about the presant state of affairs? Is there something big happening here?"
Although she didn't understand why Kaoru-kun would side with the obnoxious intruder, he was her superior, so Rui complied. "Yeah, yeah... Training hall... Whatever you say..." Hands on her hips, she proceeded to leave the area while grumbling something abour mutant Spidermen and how annoying they were.
"No, nothing big at all, just a war," Honda replied somewhat sarcastically. "You don't know about the ever-increasing tension between the Shinsengumi and the Emperor? Kyoto's... kind of a mess right now." He paused to glance at Japan's largest city; there was hardly a soul in sight due to the rain. It certainly did seem peaceful.
"Anyway. Yeah, I know where you can find an inn. I'd tell you how to get there, but... it would probably be smarter to just show you, because this is Japan so giving directions is impossible."
Not able to sleep at all, Eri got up and took what she had and left. The rain was beating down on her head, making her hair all wet. She didn't care, just to be out of that hot room of hers. The Emperor had protection tonight, so she left out the back door and onto the street. Her thoughts were infront of her as she walked. Glancing up, Eri found two people in the middle of the street talking. She picked out a few words, but took them into her head with care. Everything was bare from people. Taking a few steps foward, she went past the people on the street and bumped into the guy with a smile.
"Sorry, but this street is a pain to walk on."
Shinta ate his food after the meeting was over and walked back to his room. Hopping for someone to come by with a job or something. He watched people walk throughout the streets and played with his little toy he had with him forever it seemed.
Time will tell, as things come
Come to it all, will never end
You will never know what my pain is untill its too late. Never for my heart to fall in pieces as with the blood that drips.
Silver wrote:"because this is Japan so giving directions is impossible."
((Not completely impossible, at long as said directions are based entirely on landmarks and have nothing to do with addresses...but yeah.))
"A war, really?" Sakrai looked rather surprised as the young man began leadng the way towards the inn. "This is the first I've heard about it. But I was in Hokaido until recently..."
Just then a young woman approached. Sakria's eyes narrowed, following the stranger closely. Though not a demon, from her weapons and the way she carried herself, Sakria could tell that she was dangerous.
