Hi!

Florida has something similar to your test Silver. It's called the FCAT, or Florida Comprehension Academic Test. You take it every year from 3rd to 11th grade. Except for the 11th grade test, the FCAT consists of a writing, math, and reading section. The 11th graders instead only take a Science FCAT. Apparently, at the start of the 2011-2012 year, they're adding Science for everybody. Luckily, I graduate in 2010, so I miss that deadline.

Speaking of which, FCAT is next week.

There are two different standardized tests in Tennessee. One in middle school and one in high school. The one in middle school is called the TCAP. I have no idea what it stands for, nor do I care. In high school, we have the Gateway test. The subjects are algebra I, biology, and English II or III. I really don't know. But next year, the freshmen don't have to take it. I think. I really don't know right now. All I care about are my ACT and SAT scores and if they get me into UT Knox.

Hi! I was homeschooled till college but the law in CO requires homeschoolers to take a standardized achievement test (any of several since the normal schools could never decide on one) every other year. Kinda pointless though considering that all you had to do was score better than 25% to pass and the tests were all really easy (I took it every year, cause my Mom wanted me to, and aced them all). Actually, the bar used to be set higher but they lowered it cause too many public school kids were failing. Yeah...doesn't really say much about CO's public schools...

Oh god! The FCAT. I am so glad I don't have to take that anymore. But I still feel sorry for the people that do. Oy the FCAT is evil.

Hi! I hope Marley gets better soon. But, in the meantime, this is a good chance for anyone looking to get ahead in KOTF... Also, don't forget the current bonus challenge (should be a fun one). Web Comic club members should also remember to read the current comic.

The sixth grade students at my school (who will be graduating from elementary school in a couple of weeks) had a nice little thank you party for all the teachers today after school. It was fun. One of the guys even put on a skirt and frilly shirt to impersonate some singer for the entertainment.

It took a while, but my winter wonder land is here at last! It's snowiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!! [/squeal] It's everywhere! I was starting to think that it wouldn't snow. It started around 12:00, and now, at 8:30, it's at about three inches. I know it's not much compaired to everywhere else, but it is enough to let out school early. It's snowiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/squeal]
