Yeah I know. But making a new Mario with FLUUD all the time (and the Hawaiin shirt and sunglasses) would have been pretty awesome.

Aw, peas. Banjo-Tooie was my third favourite N64 game (after Goldeneye 64 and Mario 64).

I have to say, I was originally skeptical about Lucario, but his fighting style seems pretty unique and cool. Although some of his moves seems to be ripped off from Mewtwo, I guess that's okay since it looks like Mewtwo won't be returning.

But honestly, on another topic... I'm getting sick of all the clone characters. Despite them being slightly different from they're counterparts, it just seems like a cheap way to increase the roster (although I wouldn't count Luigi as a clone, pretty much all of his moves are different from Mario's). They even cloned some characters I don't think anybody even likes, such as Ness. Is this why the game's been delayed? So that they can make more cheap clone characters? Why not put in some Pokemon instead, there are hundreds of unique fighting styles to chose there, but nooooo...

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. I guess it doesn't really matter if there's too many clones, because you can just not play as them. I personally just play as Mario, Pikachu, Samus, Ice Climbers, and the Donkster.

Well, Ike and Marth have a slightly different moveset, but im not sure about Ganon and CF

That's definately not why the release date got pushed back. Probably more along the lines of localization and just making enough copies of the game so everyone can get one at launch (well, maybe).

Also, never assume that no one likes x character. Smash was really popular at my college (it hardly ever left the Gamecube in the cafe) and I got to play with a ton of different people so I can say with certainty that, while some characters are much more popular than others, all of them have their fans. You mention Ness in particular, I came up against some really awesome Ness players. As for the clones, I'm not gonna judge until I play them myself. For example, Captain Falcon and Gannondorf (despite having more or less the same moveset in SSBM) still played quite a lot differently due to weight, speed, power, and tweaks to how their moves worked, as did Roy and Marth, Pikachu and Pichu, Fox and Falco and, to a lesser extent, Link and Young Link. Though I'll admit the differences between Mario and Dr. Mario were really small.
I don't know why so many people are complaining about clones in Brawl. Heck, there's less of them this time around than there was in Melee and it looks like most of them have gotten even more tweaks to further differentiate them.

Sorry to double post, especially since I won't be able to get Brawl for like a month... But I just had to post this quote from Gamespot's SSBB review, which pretty much sums up my thoughts on character matchups.

If you've ever found yourself arguing with a friend about whether or not Mario could beat Link in a one-on-one match, Brawl is the game that will let you settle the issue once and for all (the answer of course is that Kirby would eat them both).
