Josiah VS Sally's Wraith

A barrier of blue and purple flames formed itself around Sally, shielding her from the mortal cold of Forever Zero. She let her spear drop to the ground while starting to chuckle softly, the laughter growing and growing until it could be heard for miles. The tone of insanity was perceptible within her voice, her mind delighted to have such a powerful source of raw energy to draw from.

"Hehehehehe! Such a fool you are, I am the great Sally! I have no weaknesses! But now it's my turn...behold this warp storm!"

She raised her hands and looked up at the sky which began to swirl and grow darker like the fire that protects her.

Despite Sally's boasting, Forever Zero had frozen her briefly before her flames had been able to free her. Josiah used the time to his advantage to prepare for his next move.

"Sorry," he called as Sally's raised her hands, "why don't you behold this instead?" eleven other Josiah's appeared, forming a circle around Sally. "Rainbow Shield Reverse times 12!!!" a spheical barrier formed around Sally as the 12 Josiah's each fired a powerful beam of rainbow energy. The beams went right through the barrier but once inside they were unable to leave and began rapidly bouncing off the interior.

((Being a reversed shield, stuff can enter but not leave so Sally is stuck in there with a whole bunch of beams which will basically bounce around and hit her a whole bunch of times until they eventually run out of power.))

Good, good...exactly as I wanted...

Sally grinned while Josiah called his rebounding laser attack, her warp storm having being interrupted before it could really begin thus vanishing without a trace, her face looking down and her body taking all of the punishment without twitching or moving for a single moment, getting covered in bruises and burns until the attack subside.

Virgo's card reads KO while Sally slowly rise her eyes to look at her opponent again, her body looking in a very bad shape. "Is that all?"

The clones having vanished, Josiah regarded Sally with an angry expression. "Cute. So you don't just try to steal her body and copy her, you link HP too. Thing is, at least she's safe now. In this state she can't take any more damage. You, on the other hand, can." he drew his swords. "Did you really hope to accomplish something with this or can you just not fight a battle without resorting to mind games?"

"Wrong again young pup. Despite her tremendous physical wounds...she still carry much mana...and I know the only thing that can beat your extraordinary speed."

She bowed to Josiah before putting her arms behind her. "If you know yourself as well as your enemy, then you shall win a thousand battles."

A chuckle came from her throat before green winds emanated from her, destroying all life on their path, poisoning any flesh that might touch them, rotting the very soul of the objects on their path.
"May the plague childs of Nurgle flay you!"

Before the green winds could reach him, Josiah hurled a powerful blast of wind back at Sally, intending to blow the posion back at her. He also backed up immediately after, so he'd have time to try something else if that plan failed.

The part of the wind that was blown back only started to circle around Sally before reaching her, a very basic scan of the clouds revealing that they contain the worsts diseases though possible: the blasts of rotting air that were not sent back at Sally turned the oasis to a brown patch of decomposed trees plus venomous water in a matter of seconds. Luckily for Josiah the deadly clouds then vanished, including Sally's poison shield.

My whole body began to emanate a crimson red aura, smelling or murder and brutality while my fists got charged with visible energy. "May the wrath of Khorne crush your skull!"

She dashed forward, arms and legs ready to strike either with precision and strenght or just to brutally tear him apart.

Josiah summoned the Legioniarre Blade almost instantly, far faster than he had been able to do it in their previous battle, and parried Sally's attack with a surprising force.

Her punch landed squarely on the blade, the sheer force of it already straining it's strenght some but instead of trying to win a lock she simply comboed her punch into giving Josiah's stomach a hard kick.

Her blinding speed, while subpar compared to Josiah, was very odd due to the amount of damage she had received.

One of the advantages of weilding a swallow (staff like weapon with a blade on each end, same thing Serge uses in Chrono Cross), was that it could be used for offense and defense at the same time. Because of that, Josiah managed to deflect her kick so that it just skimmed his side. It hurt a bit but didn't do any serious damage.

"You know," Josiah pushed her back, "you really should be unconscious by now." he muttered. "Well, maybe this will do it. Perfect Mirror Slice!" he charged at her, blades moving almost too fast for the eye to follow.

Sally was in mid-kick before Josiah started his attack, left completely defenseless to all the slashes.

However, just when the first hit was going to connect, both Josiah and Sally froze dead in their tracks. Both fighters were stopped in time yet somehow, Josiah could still feel around him.

A soft voice resonated in his mind, being of someone Josiah never met: "Stop, don't play into hir game...shi's using Virgo as a meat shield...the poor thing is on the brink of death now....if you continue..."
Silence followed in the waiting for Josiah's reply.

"I already figured that." Josiah attempted to respond to the mystery voice using his thoughts. "But it won't work the way she thinks it will. The real Virgo is in the card and in that state she simply can't take any more damage once her HP has been depleted, even with whatever kind of link-up Sally is using. Once they've been bound to a card, monsters become nearly impossible to kill. But Sally doesn't seem to know that so I'm pressing the advantage." He paused for a moment. "Who are you anyway?"

"I do not think you fully understand the situation, Sally has a very basic spacetime power that allow hir to be in more than one place at once. This also sadly include your Virgo but even if the one in the card is invincible you can still hurt the one outside which can die due to a logic loop of your cards. But let's assume you're right: you can't kill her anyway since the card Virgo make her impossible to damage.

Josiah...Sally is the kind of opponent who will almost find a way to turn anything you use against hir to hir own advantage, if you use brute force shi will win. While very strong shi is not without weakness...throw hir off pattern, try things you would never do usually. As for who I am...it is not important."

"Well I think it is... And who said I was trying to win with brute force just cause I launched a few strong attack? That aside, I don't think you quite understand how the cards work. But hey, I've got about three other battle strategies planned out at this point so if it will get you to unfreeze time I'll go ahead and try a different approach. Besides, never hurts to be careful."

"I think that I'm better placed than you to tell how to beat hir because...well...I've known hir since I was born, literally. So the best way to fight hir is by doing things you wouldn't do otherwise so as to throw hir off balance.
