Round 2: Uber-Mart

Troy, Marely, and Jason got off the elevator into the floor 5 cashier area. Marley darted off and soon found himself surrounded by toys and some signs pointing to the game area. Meanwhile, Ryan said a quick hi to Troy and Jason as he walked past them into the elevator. Troy realized that if he wanted to get the 6th floor without having to go off alone, this would probably be a good time to try and join up with Ryan.

"I don't know where my team is." Shana replied. "First we broke into groups to search but then there was this big stampede of shoppers, which was almost worse than a stampeding big animal, and I got seperated from the others and haven't been able to find them so I've been exploring on my own and its been so boring not having anyone to talk to, you know? Oh, you're suit? It's really colorful. Never seen a suit like that before. You get it from the wheels didn't you? I was watching then but I was kinda distracted by other stuff so I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention. Not a bad suit, really, I like the colors although you might look better in one of those dresses. But maybe your team mate wouldn't like you wearing his or her dresses so I guess you can't try them on, huh?" she paused for a moment than switched subjects. "Mad? Me? I don't know. Probably, I mean I can't be totally ok with everything. Like if you told me that you like to go around kicking bunnies that would make me mad. Kicking cute little bunnies is a really mean thing to do. Unless the bunnies kicked you first but they usually don't do that. Other things would probably make me mad but I don't know what, I mean, I haven't made a list of them or anything so you'll just have to wait and see I guess."

"The dresses are not for me, there for one of the girls on my team. I am buying them for her. I'm nice like that. I'm just wandering, what did you get from the wheel of power? Short size? wings? What?"

"Hey, wait!" Troy called to Ryan, darting back into the elevator with him. "Sorry, I really wanted to check out the electronics, but I figured it would be better to stay with Jason and Marley. Strength in numbers, you see. But now I figre I can just go with you, because then I'm not alone, and I get to check out the electronics."

Kaida went off in the direction she hoped would lead to the artea with stuffed toys. In other words she was wondering around looking at everything and messing with everything that made cool noises.

Kaida quickly found the stuffed toys, and there was a lot of them. The place was crammed with the usual amount of shopping but she could hear what sounded like a large commotion from a couple of aisles over.

The elevator doors closed and soon the voice was back. "Now traveling to the sixth floor. Electronics and office supplies. The door will open in 15 seconds." Predictably enough the door opened as advertised and Troy and Ryan found themselves in yet another cashier type area.

"Hey, I'm pretty tall for my species!" Shana protested. "I'm always like this! I love being able to fly. Small is ok, I mean we can't pick up heavy things and have to watch out for bigger stuff but we can fit in places that big guys like you never could and we get discounts on seating, which is pretty cool. I mean we just get a discount cause of who we are, doesn't get much better than that, you know? The wheels? They're kinda hard to spin aren't they? Maybe not for you but for me they are. I got Razzle Dazzle powers and a Really Awesome Invisible Thingy! Unfortunately I never could find the thingy... You haven't seen it have you?"

Meanwhile, Gary finally reached the cashier. She scanned the clothes he was holding then held the scanner up to him for a moment. "Ooh, a Portal Panic player, that's so awesome! You want to pay for these out of your account, right? Let's see, just need to do a currancy conversion since we don't directly accept Glongzonian Dollars here..." she it a couple buttons on her computer. "There we go. Would you like a bag?"

"Yes please, and before you ask, the dresses are for someone else." After he receved his bag, he headed for the escalator so that he could go up a floor. "You know," He said to Shana, "We, meaning me and my team mates, have a holiday about getting toys and clothes and games and stuff at the last minute like this on Earth. It's called Christmas, and its worse on Earth then here. Is there anything like that on your planet?"

Kaida being, well Kaida immediatly started looking along the isles for the commotion to find out what was going on.

Um, sure, yeah. Ryan said, as if he had much more choice in the matter. He walked out of the elevator and looked for an overhead map of some sorts.

Ryan could find and overhead map but he did spot some signs points towards the various sections of the floor.

Kaida soon found the source of the commotion. It appeared that a trio of the dwarf like aliens she had seen back at the Portal Panic studio were have an arguement (or maybe a fight) with a very large woman over a stuffed toy of some sort. Unfortunately, with so many people grabbing and pulling it, she was unable to tell what the toy was or why it was so popular.

"Chistmas?" Shana frowned briefly. "That's a strange name. Is it about people named Chris? We have a holiday for people named Chris. It's kind of boring though since I'm not named Chris, you know? But we don't do a lot of shopping for Chris Day. We save that for Buy Tons of Stuff Day. It's fun but we don't have big stores like this. Lots of small ones. Makes it easier to find things, although you have to go lots of different places so your wings get kinda tired. Where are we going now? Are we gonna get food? Do you want to furniture? Are we gonna meet the rest of your team, huh, huh?

Unsure exactly what the fight was about or what to do, Kaida decided to ask. "Um, excuse me, I don't know whats going on, but if you keep pulling on the toy like that you'll break it.?" She said hopeing that they would stopp pulling the toy aroud. "Also what's this argument about?" She continued.

Gary and Shana took the escalator to the 4th floor without incident. The cashier area looked more or less like all the others.

"Oh no! It's one of the others!" a dwarf yelled upon seeing Kaida. "We've got to hide the clue!" he and his companions managed to yank the toy away from the woman and started to run down the aisle.

Ryan reached the area he was going to although none of the items on the shelves looked like any computer parts he had seen before.
